Mr. Donald Balacuit

My family and I have been treated by both Dr. Donald & Peter Balacuit through the years. They are both excellent physicians with a very competent staff. I recommend them highly.

He refused to treat a Covid 19 patient, a disabled Veteran and school teacher. Character counts.

I just had a Horrible Experience with this Dr. First he basically tells me I'm too poor to afford the proper/indisputable testing I requested, then {unrelated} he tells me "B-12 comes from plants" and as a vegetarian, I have no reason to be concerned about B-12 ( for the record b-12 comes from bacteria found in rainwater and soil) Most Americans get their B-12 from animal products (don't take my word for it, look it up yourself, search licensed medical Dr's on the subject). Being a vegetarian I have good reason to be concerned with those levels. When it came to the issue of a second opinion / further testing, I had to be very insistent and tell him I don't care about the cost when it comes to something that could affect me for the rest of my life. He finally requests the lab work/ Gives me a slip (barely filled out with more than my name) to go to a lab and set it up myself... In all fairness, it was the end of the day and I'm sure he was tired and wanted to go home but F that, this is my life, That's why you make the big bucks. You don't walk out on your patients, ever. I deserve 15 minutes, if not more with my Dr. no matter what my insurance pays. He ends the visit by telling me " He doesn't want to argue with me and walks out as I'm saying "I don't want to argue, that just not what I've found myself" AKA you are dead wrong in the nicest way possible... Then throws out " I went to medical school, I know"... even though he was unequivocally wrong on the subject of B-12. I recorded the whole interaction on my smartphone so I'm not confused or remembering wrong the details of the conversation. I feel he got so flustered because he made a silly mistake after I requested a second opinion for a different subject and maybe he was a little embarrassed and didn't want to correct himself but that's no excuse. I am a person in need of health care and I feel I was treated negatively when looking for help. I'm disappointed but I already have a new Dr set up for later this week. I'm sure he's a fine Dr. if you want someone to do the bare minimum but if you need an advocate for your health you may want to look somewhere else... Worst experience I ever had with any doctor in my entire life. If I could give 0 stars I would. I needed a referral for my medication to use a specialty pharmacy and he refused to help. Instead they send me an hour away to see another doctor, meanwhile due to my ailment I can't drive that far away. When I asked for help I was just told call the other doctor and have them figure some out. Worst experience I ever had with any doctor in my entire life. If I could give 0 stars I would. All the time I come I received good attention the personnel working here are kind, and definitely the Doctors too. I'm very happy with them and I like they know me now for quite some time.

Worst office ever ! Staff never follows up on the phone , never answers the phone always goes to exchange during work hours. They lose your paper work or lie and say they never got it. Peter Bapacuit is a horrible incompetent doctor! He was extremely inappropriate with me and the only reason I didn't report him is because of his old age. Stay away from that doctor if you want to preserve dignity.

Dr. Peter Balacuit is a caring, courteous, and excellent physician. I've been his patient for several years and have only the highest regards to his practice. His staff is superior to other offices and I'd rate him a ten but there are only five stars. Yes, he maxes out the stars.

Donald is total trash. He assumes what you have to say and won't actually listen to your concerns. Having rephrased questions to him multiple times, he just repeats an answer to a question you never asked and will repeat it regardless of your attempts at clarification or communication until the cows come home. If you aren't a pushover and try to clarify he'll belligerently storm out of a room. Too much ego for any semblance of patient care. His listening and communication is terrible. Irresponsible doctor. I went 2 times for the same problem he didn't want to do en exam for my problem i got really sick couldn't walk the second time was a differen dr gave a referral to do x rays after suffering so much . He didn't call to give me my exam results. Till this time I'm still waiting. I don't recomend this clinic at all. Dr palaquit doesn't love his profession nor care about his patients please don't bother to go there Irresponsible doctor. This rating is for Barbara, thank you so much Barbara! When all these medical hoops have got me frustrated and I felt like getting governmental health insurance was a big mistake, there was Barbara. A be on of light to my dark tunnel of health problems. She’s got it together. If anyone is having problems with referrals and finding a specialist just talk to Barbara. absolutely terrible!! I was supposed to be referred out to a cardiologist "stat" . waited 2 month and still no referel. finally just changed doctors. both Dr Balacuits are anabiotic feens. they feel that is the answer to everything. they just write prescriptions like it's going out of style. the office staff forgets to put in referals ALL the time. I finally had it when they told me they've apparently "lost" my medical file so they are not able to get me a copy. this was right after i said i was going to switch physicians. how convenient of them! the practice is a disgrace to the medical field! so sad that they are allowed to even practice medicine. absolutely terrible!! I have been his patient, now my brother is, and my boyfriend also. A very kind man, Mostly Very professional. He has a great staff, with him for years.
