Don G Koepsell

I have been a patient of Doctor Koepsell for about 25 years. He is very thorough and “Knows His Stuff!”. My wife and I drive a distance for about two hours to receive his care. We wouldn’t trust our eyes to anyone else.

He is a great doctor and cares about his patients. He takes his time and makes sure that everything is as it should be. That being said, you do spend a lot of time in the waiting room. he sometimes runs behind and if you have to be dilated, you get to wait twice. Nonetheless, I have been going to him for 32 years (since I was 13) and I would not go anywhere else.

I recently had a serious health scare and my primary care physician suspected Shingles in my eye. Even though Dr. Koepsell was NOT my ophthalmologist (mine had retired) he came into his office on a Friday evening and saw me. He was professional, thorough and truly compassionate knowing that I was facing a weekend not knowing if the herpes zoster virus was in my eye. He did a complete exam and was able to rule out shingles so my primary care physician could focus on the correct diagnoses I recently had a serious health scare and my primary care physician suspected Shingles in my eye. I recently had a serious health scare and my primary care physician suspected Shingles in my eye. Even though Dr. Koepsell was NOT my ophthalmologist (mine had retired) he came into his office on a Friday evening and saw me. He was professional, thorough and truly compassionate knowing that I was facing a weekend not knowing if the herpes zoster virus was in my eye. I had a lot of issues with billing where I got overcharged on services already covered by insurance. Very unethical with charging and threatening me even after I honored my bills with insurance. He is a good doctor but their billing department is very rude with you. They do not process your bills on time so you end up having problems, then they claim that it was your fault. He is an excellent Doctor. Very efficient and patient. Determine that you get the proper care and follow-up. I have been under his care for 20years traveling a distance to office visits and do it gladly.
