Dr. Domingo E Galliano

I first went to Dr Galliano after having been very sick for a year with severe & debilitating diverticulitis. He ordered several tests, and performed surgery to remove damaged areas of colon. It was a very big major surgery, very complicated. The results from the surgery have been wonderful. His knowledge and efficiency are remarkable. He made every effort to reconnect colon after removing several inches of very damaged colon, and it has worked very well. He was very attentive to my needs and explained everything along the way. I definitely recommend him to anyone having gastrointestinal problems. His physician assistant, Dr Laura, how I call her, is also wonderful. I feel he was a God send. He pretty much saved my life.

My family doctor sent a referral to Dr. Galliano’s office & they never called to schedule my procedure. I called his office once a week, informing the person I spoke with that my family dr sent them a referral, & I need to schedule. THREE times I called over the course of a month, & no one called me back to schedule. I confirmed my family Dr did send the referral. Either Dr Galliano’s scheduling staff is overwhelmed or incompetent, but this lack of basic patient service needs addressed by management. I finally called my family dr & asked to be referred to another gastroenterologist because I’m fed up.

Absolutely the worst doctor I've ever seen. He was over an hour and half late for my scheduled sigmoidoscopy. When he finally came in the room, he didn't take the time to greet me or explain the procedure or ask if I had any questions. Because he was so far behind schedule, he rushed and was rough during the procedure. I knew it was going to be uncomfortable, but he was in such a hurry and so rough that the experience was painful. When he finished, he simply said, "all done" and walked out of the room. No discussing what he found, nothing about follow up or at home care, and he didn't even leave me with anything to use to clean myself up. If I could give less than one star I would. After I get my results from the biopsy, I will be looking for a new doctor and will never return to his practice again.

I will say he did get me in very quick as I was in pain. Surgery was scheduled two days later. However he was unsure what he was going to have to do and when finished I was never informed what was done what to expect or anything at all by the Dr or anyone of his staff. The recover nurse and same day nurse of the hospital staff were very kind and tried to help but even they had limited to no information from him on what was actually done or I can expect other then a follow up in 3 weeks. I would like to think if you wake up with a tube coming out of your body in a very uncomfortable area of the bony there would be some exolaination on what was done why it's there for how long what to expect what to do verse follow up in 3 weeks!!

Dr Galliano is a man of of few words but extremely experienced!!!

I want to thank Dr. Galliano for correcting my past few years of rectal prolapse, rectal incontinence, and embarrassment. He and his staff are excellent and made me feel so at ease. Thank you all!!! I should have done it much sooner! Lucinda McGucken

My failed hernia surgery and lack of communication from surgeon to patient, makes me give him a 1 on the star rating.

My mom recently had a procedure done by Dr Galiano. Basal cell CA removal, not only that her recovery was swift and uneventful the incision site is so clean and very well done that when it healed there was hardly any mark. The office staff are very caring, considerate and very knowledgeable in addressing our concerns. Would highly recommend!

I thank God every day for Dr. Galliano I was in the right ER at the right time I had a hiatal hernia let go suck my stomach up into my chest it was Not looking good for me he was upfront and honest with me the whole time telling me exactly what he was going to do and hopefully it would go his way ended up it did some people say he doesn’t have the greatest bedside manner but I truly understand because when he sees you He gets right to the point there are so many people that want to see him he Doesn’t have time for small talk you ask him questions and he will answer you if you don’t quite understand it he will go out of his way to explain it or show pictures He told me he will be right there for me right to the end of my recovery and he was I’m not going to forget to mention his staff he has a great team I believe the woman that works hand-in-hand with him her name is Suesan I hope I’m not wrong She was wonderful and got me through a lot I trust his decision Excellent at what he does

He has taken care of my wife multiple times, with the upmost care and professionalism, I highly recommend him he is an expert in his field.

I have been fortunate enough to have Dr Galliano as one of my physician in my most resent time of need . I had a Gallbladder attack last week and ended up in the ER . Dr Galliano waisted no time to investigate what was causing me such horrible pain. I had my gallbladder removed on Thursday and I must say I am amazed at my recovery time I was comfortably having dinner with my family on Saturday . There are not enough words to explain how much appreciation I have for this Dr who made me feel comfortable and answered all of my concerns , while keeping an open line of communication during this difficult time. His dedication to his patients shows when he has gone above and beyond my expectations . I must add that I also had mentioned some discomfort in my left lower abdominal area and with out hesitation he also looked into that during my surgery and had discovered something that I would never have known about had I not mentioned it to him. Needless to say he heard me and followed through.

The best Dr! Yes the wait sometimes could be a while but is because he provides the best care and he takes time for that. I couldn’t have been blessed with a better Dr. Thank you Dr Galliano !

Dr. Galliano received me as a new patient in 2017, and has been one of the greatest blessings to other members of my family also. His sfaff members are so kind that they help to make all of your visits very easy, as i was very ill when i first saw him. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for the expertise of a Veteran Doctor.

You couldn't ask for a smarter doctor. I HAVE had many surgeries in my life and I can honestly tell you that I am still here and feeling good , owing it all to dr. Galliano. I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of any kind of surgery and needing peace of mind that you will be in good hands.

Once again,waiting to see Dr Galliano. Average waiting time is over 2 hours. Staff is nice but he overschedules. Good surgeon but takes on too much. Last time I was here he gave me the same exam he did the time before when I was scheduled for a simple ultrasound.

My first visit as a new patient. I waited an hour and witnessed a patient asking when the doctor would be in. An hour and a half later than my appointment time. There were patients before me waiting and I felt disrespected and left. All it would have taken was for the receptionist to inform us the doctor was behind schedule and/or to reschedule. I would have been fine with that. Nothing. No respect for my time.

I would highly recommend Dr. Galliano. He is a great surgeon. He has performed a lymph groin resection and a colorectal robotic surgery on me. I am recovering exceptionally well from both surgery's. I credit my quick recovery time to Dr. Galliano.s expertise in his field.

Waste of time

Was under his treatment for one year. - Had every test possible (all lead to the same conclusion). He never seemed to be familiar with my medical file or what I was there for. He is hard to communicate with and the office runs slow and confused,. I went elsewhere to resolve my medical .

I trust Dr Galliano not only for my healthcare needs but that of my Wife, My Parents, My Sister and any other friend or family member that I want good results. I am not only his patient but have been blessed to see him in the OR theatre for over 30 years, His attention to detail and care for his patients needs are top notch. He truly has the skilled hands of a top notch surgeon. Our Community is blessed to have Dr Galliano practicing medicine here in Charlotte County. I recently went to him for an endoscopic exam of both ends of my Alimentary canal, my office visit prior to my procedure was pleasant considering the situation that had me there in the first place. Staff was friendly, Courteous, and Professional. The day of the procedure at the Murdock ASC I couldn't have been made comfortableany more then I was and after the procedure Dr Galliano gave me the good news that I was hoping to hear that I no signs of Cancer a clear colon.

Excellent surgeon saved my life

Must admit I wasn't looking forward to this visit. Who does look forward to having to see a Colon & Rectal Surgeon? My apprehension was relieved after meeting Dr Galliano and his staff. Everyone is very professional, kind and understanding. My phone calls were always returned and every question answered. The wait time was a little long but worth it.

Best Doctor in Port Charlotte, FL. The staff so helpful and will move heaven and earth to fit you in to be taken care of and seen by the doctor.

Dr. Galliano is certainly the best surgeon in our area. His expertise, I believe, far surpasses many others. He cares about a patient in ways I have not experienced with other doctors. His staff is always pleasant and eager to help his patients. I have never had any issues arise after receiving any treatment or surgery. Thank you to Dr. Galliano, Sue and the office staff.

Excellence is a characteristic that this surgeon displays. I was in need of his skills as a surgeon due to a tumor in the sigmoid colon which would've developed into cancer within six months had he not found it. He certainly deserves more than 5 stars, but this website doesn't go any higher! Thank you to Sue, and the team as well.

Went for follow up he said stitches come out I told him it was in infected but he took the stitches out anyways before I got home it opened up so I returned and he said put a bandage on it and walked out. Went to my doctor immediately after and was told I was seriously infected. Left me with an infected gaping wound cause by his neglect. Took a year to get it healed.

1.28.19 Recently I had a robotic assisted inguinal hernia surgery performed by Doctor Domingo Galliano Jr. The entire process went extremely smooth from the initial consultation, day of surgery, and the follow-up meeting. He also has a fabulous bed side personality. In addition, Dr. Galliano has a competent, friendly, and knowledgeable staff to complete all necessary details. Their communication style is clear and to the point. I highly recommend Dr. Galliano!!

I recently had surgery w Dr Galliano.I am a nurse a former surgical nurse. Dr has the newest procedures & equipment I felt safe in his care & was seen as a person as well as patient I read reviews & think some people exaggerate He is a quiet man but u can talk to him about anything re: surgery &otherwise He is well respected by physicians for his expertise. The office staff r professional & kind I do not agree with others As a nurse I would not have anyone else He is a great doc thank u

Dr Galliano came highly recommended by his patients and other Dr’s . My visit’s have always been very pleasant I have absolutely no complaints about him or his office.

Long wait time, but worth it. Dr. Galliano is very direct and to the point...doesn't dance around the answer, which is what I want in a surgeon. I don't need to be coddled, just tell me what needs to be done and do it. Have been going to him for 5 years. Staff is very friendly and competent.

10 1/2 years ago, 2 surgeons ruined me for life. I have been living with diarrhea 24/7, dead muscles, severe pain, spasms, 43 pair of undies weekly, sanitary pads, etc. I have been living in HELL. After seeing 3 doctors, I had given up. Then, I was told about Dr. Galliano. He has fixed me. No diarrhea and only mild pain. I can now go out to dinner, a movie , hike, and do all the things I haven't been able to do for 10 1/2 yrs. I don't believe in God, but if there is one, Dr. Galliano is him.

In 2013 I met with him once discussing the possibility that I have rectocele which he said I needed a colonoscopy which I could barely get through the preparation because it caused 2 huge blockages in my intestines,unbeknownst at the time,he performed a colonoscopy anyway and said I needed to repeat it,although I had severe pain and cramps after and his recovery nurses ushered me out the door. Four days later I was in the ER with emergency surgery ending up with a colostomy (stoma).

He did major surgery and removed hemorrhoids in the office and I am happy with the results and I really like Dr. Galliano. If he does not give me enough info I ask questions and he answers everything for me

Wait time was a little lengthy but understandable for a specialist office. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. When the doctor entered the room, he was very quick and to the point, but answered all my questions and eased my worries. Dr. Galliano came highly recommended to me and I was pleased with my experience.

GREAT SURGEON!! Although, he does not spend much time explaining the process, I would not trust anyone else to do surgery on me, his skill is impeccable. Highly recommended

Dr gallino.....I've counted 50 people in the waiting room that galliano will render his professional opinion to before noon! I've been one of them and now am faced with ( according to 3 surgeons at a major nationally and internationally recognized hospital ) an unknown problem. This after gallinao repeatedly said ( I fix you up). Well he sure did or sure didn't. Worst bedside manor of any doctor I have ever seen anywhere for any reason . Just doesn't seem to care.

Dr. Galliano Is a very good doctor.

I never looked forward to going to Dr. G's office because of long wait times and a lot of stress in the waiting room. On a recent visit however something has changed. I was in and out in about 35 minutes. I never doubted his skill and always felt like he was a great surgeon.

Very good surgeon. TERRIBLE Doctor. Hates to talk to patients. Hates to discuss anything. Hates to answer questions. Seems as tho he would rather not have you for a patient after surgery. Would never recommend this doctor to anyone.

Dr. Galliano has been my Doctor for almost 26 years now and he has hands of gold. His office was never a fun place to go as it seemed like he was always overbooked. My last visit however was a completely different experience. There were only 3 or 4 other people ahead of me and it was not at all stressful. I will now look forward to seeing him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Galliano on and off for 10 years now. His surgical prowess is unmatched. Although I never looked forward to going to his office because of long wait times and much stress, recently I have noticed his office running very smoothly. On my last visit, my appointment time was 11:45, I arrived at 11:30 and was back on my car by 12:00. Even the office staff seemed very accommodating. Keep up the good work.

Disenchanted by this Dr & the staff.. First of all the wait was over a month for an appt & was referred from the hospital which I had just been in for my problem. The waiting time in this office was about 1 hour & 45 min.. Saw the physicians asst who was pleasant for about 8 minutes then Dr. Galliano comes breezing in for about 3 minutes & he just can't take the time to explain because he is triple booked. Do not waste your time. If possible look for someone else-no bedside manner at all

After running 4 major tests I had an appointment to follow up on the results. I was astonished that he took a glance at my chart and said " what can I do for you? " It was as if it was my first visit and he didn't have a clue why I was there. Prepare to wait a long time as they appear to overbook. Don't expect the doctor to spend more than a fleeting few minutes with you. He is so rushed you cannot understand what he is saying. His staff is rude and rushed.
