I have been going to Dr. Shah for several years. He is very knowledgeable and has resolved several issues I've had for many years (migraines and dizzy spells). I appreciate his practice so much that I drive from north raleigh to Cary for my appointments. I highly recommend his practice.

I think it's a lost era to have a doctor that you have a meaningful relationship with. Dr Shah is an exception. Even though my visits tend to relate to me not feeling well, I actually look forward to seeing him. Very caring, knowledgeable and friendly. It's not uncommon for us to have a laugh during a visit. Been with the practice as long as Dr. Shah has been here, and i wouldn't think of seeing anyone else. Incredibly thorough, brutally honest (in a good way) , fair, and an awesome partner in my health. Best bedside manner i have experienced, really seeks to connect with his patients, and puts his whole heart and mind into everything he does. Highly recommend him for family members of all ages! I have seen Dr Shah for the past 7 years and I recommend him to everyone! I am a nurse and I am so impressed by the time and attention that Dr Shah spends on his patients. Rather than just pushing pills, he teaches and encourages lifestyle changes when applicable. He is very thorough too. I always feel that he very much cares about me as a patient- my mental, physical, AND emotional health. This is an exceptional doctor!

I've been going to Dr. Shah for several years now. He is a really nice person and always seems happy to see me. I do feel he is quite knowledgeable in the field of family medicine and I trust his opinions about my healthcare. With that being said, he is really conservative and with certain health issues I have felt as though he didn't tackle them as aggressively as he should have the first time. He does take things slowly and carefully. There is usually a bit of a wait in the examining room before he comes in. A few times I have felt like I was being hurried, but I've never left feeling as though my health needs were not met. And unlike other doctors he will tell you point-blank if you need to work on something, like lose some weight, for example. He doesn't mince words and I'm glad he's honest like that. Ms Wilkins is so great! She responds to all of my issues in a timely matter and if she isn't there, the nurses respond. It's an easygoing place and easy to be seen.

I stopped going to the practice not long after Dr. Shah became a partner. My doctor for many years was Susan Catchings who also, it appears has stopped her association with Dr. Shah. I am one of those people who resist change and when I find a provider I like I stay with them. It took a lot of arrogance on the part of Dr. Shah to drive me from the practice, Dr. Catchings treated my 3 children from the time they were born until Dr. Shah joined the practice and ran us off. A doctor should be more concerned with the well being of the patient than about what they will be able to bill the insurance company for. Dr. Catchings was like that, Dr. Shah, not so much. He refused to work with me on my billing when I was uninsured and wouldn't even let me see Dr. Catchings anymore because she would refill my ongoing scripts without seeing me every month. He required me to come to the office to get my scripts since he couldn't bill me or my insurance otherwise. Today I called to get a copy of my youngest child's immunization records, they seem to have misplaced several years of her records. I remember how sore my baby was after her middle school shots, they were the only doctor I was using at the time but they don't have the records anymore. There are plenty of other practices around, and I didn't have a problem with the other doctors at the practice but that Shah guy is just a greedy jerk, of course your opinion may be different. I have been going to Cary Adult Medicine now for a few years, they are wonderful and Dr. Catchings has also moved on, she is a wonderful and caring physician. It's no wonder Doc Napolian drove her away from the practice. I stopped going to the practice not long after Dr. Shah became a partner. Dr. Shah and his staff were courteous and friendly. I found the doctor to be very intent on listening to my needs and welcoming questions and concerns. I highly recommend him and this practice based on my experience.

Been going to him for the past 5+ years and while he does a good job listening and explaining the issue as he sees it and the treatment of it, he does tend to be habitually late, especially for afternoon appointments. Seems to focus on preventative care and I've been pretty satisfied so far.

I have been coming here for 4+ years. The wait time is over 45 minutes past my scheduled time if my appt is mid-day or later. I scheduled in the morning and was the first appt and was seen 15 mins late. I feel that consistently late is not acceptable for a service you're paying for. I have obligations to my employer; this office should respect schedules. Dr.Shah is knowledgeable, courteous, and explains medical issues well. I also like the nurse practitioners and other medical staff.

Please Avoid this office the website shows records are available for a certain fee but when you send in the request they charge you per page even though the request and website state otherwise. The office manager has no business working with the public when I questioned this practice he used abusive language and made threats. We were patient for over 10 years and they tried to hold our children's medical records hostage preventing them from getting the care they need. Tried calling Ms. Catchings directly to make her aware of the way the office is being managed but she will not return our call. I have been going to Shah & Catching's for a few years now and I have been very happy with the medical services provided. The last few times I have made an appointment I've been seeing Lauren Shehan. She is FANTASTIC! I have never had a doctor be so professional and caring before. When you are going through medical issues, it's such a comfort to know you have a doctor who truly cares about you and your health. I will be switching my children over to this practice as well. I can't say enough good things about Lauren Shehan. I recommend her HIGHLY and I can say that coming from a family of 2 nurses and 2 doctors.
