I recently reviewed retinal services in Lancaster Pa. I need to amend my remarks. It dawned on me after my second cryotherapy for retina detachment that I was never offered any proof of it. I was just told I have it and they were going to operate. How do I know that they're telling the truth. They showed me no pictures or offered a second opinion. Why they would operate on somebody who DOES NOT have a detachment is ridiculous. Also, after each cryotherapy my vision has gotten worse with many and more floaters. Additionally, a technician had the audacity to ask if my vision is better or worse. Worse. Where I could read line 9 on the eye chart with the affected eye before my initial and subsequent visit, I can barely read anything two lines above. Somethings not right here.

The doctor explained my condition and treatment in detail, listened to all my concerns, and immediately put me at ease. The entire staff was friendly and helpful.

I was referred by several friends to Dr. Dina Gewaily. When I arrived, they were prepared to make sure social distancing was practiced. Everyone was wearing a masks and the floor and chairs are segregated. All of the employees were very friendly and accommodating. I saw Dr. Gewaily who was very patient and didn't rush things, which I really liked. She explained all the tests and results to me in detail. I was very happy with her and the quality of her service. Very professional and pleasant, from the office staff to the doctor. More important than that, Dr. Gewaily has helped my eyesight so much.

During a recent holiday weekend, I was referred to Lancaster Retinal Specialists on an emergency basis (possible retinal tear/detachment). Dr Dina Gewaily was on call that day (Sunday). We spoke on the phone; she was helpful, kind and professional. She offered to see me in the office that evening at 7pm. My husband and I drove to Lancaster.....about 60 miles from our home. Needless to say, I was quite frightened, not only for my eyesight, but for risking exposure during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Gewaily was welcoming, professional and very mindful of CDC safety protocols. She did an extensive and thorough eye examination, explaining everything along the way. I was relieved to hear I did not have a retinal tear/detachment (I did have a vitreous detachment, which explained my symptoms). Throughout my extended appointment, Dr. Gewaily provided ample opportunity for questions, giving no indication of time constraints. My husband (a retired physician) and I felt grateful for her profession

Deeply knowledgeable and amazing Doctor who I can not recommend enough, she and all of the staff were an amazing force to be cared for by.
