I would not recommend dr. Diaz and his office. They’re rude with the patients, the office is disorganized and the Dr will not help to get any solutions for your child needs or problems.I will give zero stars to this office.

It is already hard to have a premature baby and it makes it more hard when you call this office and “Ada “ or whatever have an attitude for no reason . Where is the empathy ?? I imagine they don't like other people to treat them bad so there is no reason to do it if other people are nice !!!

Dr was nice, however showed up 1 hour late for the appointment with no courtesy warning or explanation to the patients waiting.

Upon calling Office the staff is not educated by an administrator. I repeatedly told them I did a test recently and they keep on telling me I didn’t. It took several transfers and several staff members to find the proper documents that I did. Basically the staff is calling me a liar. When I asked for the doctor the doctor won’t be able to call you until further notice because she’s on vacation. As a pediatric G.I. the children come first. Especially during a pandemic like this I don’t think this is fair or right they’ve had the results for weeks and not responding to me or to the corresponding doctors. My Daughter has a medical condition which she depends on the G.I. to give us an annual result. I don’t know what the health system is coming too. But during this pandemic it’s getting worse and worse and worse especially with the customer service throughout the staff. PleaseHope someone will look into this as we are dealing with little children. Upon calling Office the staff is not educated by an administrator. Dr Diaz treated my 4 month old baby, he was very thorough and explained everything, great bedside manners and I needed that especially through this pandemic, however because of the front desk staff and their lack of professionalism , I'm taking my baby somewhere else. Form your own opinion - We were recommended to Dr Delgado for a second opinion for our 8 year old daughter’s stomach issues. They got us in and performed an endoscopy and colonoscopy rather quickly in the hospital. We scheduled a follow-up visit for 10 days later to obtain the results. My family was eagerly awaiting the follow-up visit for the much awaited results. The doctor's office called us two days prior to the visit to cancel it and request we reschedule for 2-weeks later. This did not bode well with us for obvious reasons including that our daughter was running low on her prescription. We called their office regularly for the next two days and finally got a doctor to return our call (we already had the prescription refilled by our primary care physician). The doctor gave us some subtle advice, but we already had things in the works to switch to a new specialist. I drove to this practice from Fort Myers because due to some terrible first hand experiences and also conversations with friends in the medical field, I learned we have no decent pediatric specialists here. It was completely worth the drive! The staff were very friendly and patient. The parking was a bit inconvenient at the hospital location, as to be expected, but the wait was not very long. Dr. Diaz spent a significant amount of time with me answering all of my questions. My toddler was melting down and he didn't skip a beat. While I was there, there were children with significantly more severe health issues. Its easy to have fears and concerns about any health issue with your child, yet I was not made to feel like my concerns were not important. He was very helpful, asked a lot of questions, and was thorough in his suggestions. Before I left we discussed next steps, and plans A & B based on those results. To top it off, I received a call from his nurse to check on how my daughter was doing a week later! My daughter's symptoms are under control, and I will definitely drive to Miami to see Dr. Diaz if another issue arises! Dr. Diaz is 5 stars over and over. If his staff and office appearance were comparable to him, it would be 5 stars across the board. He's been seeing my son for over 2 years since a lengthy PICU stay. He's great, really really great at what he does and truly cares. I took my son to see the seasoned surgeon next door and voiced complaints about Dr. Diaz's staff and office and asked if he knew of a different GI specialist. He said, Dr. Diaz is worth it all being overlooked, you're not going to find better. So, for my son's sake, I keep my mouth closed and bring lots of snacks in anticipation of long waits. It is what it is. Dr. Diaz is 5 stars over and over. If his staff and office appearance were comparable to him, it would be 5 stars across the board. This office called child care services on us because we decided our child no longer needed to be kept on a weekly injection for symptoms she no longer had. The wait was always long, the waiting room always filthy, the staff rude, and the doctors made my child feel uncomfortable. We stopped going mainly because she was doing better, and we did not want to waste time or money on a specialist or medication she did not need. Still shocked they called CHILD CARE SERVICES FOR NEGLECT!

Such a terrible, terrible experience with this Doctor and his office, lake of care, lack of responsibility, and commitment. I really think they never took the Hippocratic oath ever... My twin girls with just 5 month old, born prematurely with heavy gastrointestinal reflux, both twice with visits to NICU and afterward to PICU; we took the little ones twice to this doctor since their very first month; then we have being rescheduled 3 times since November 27, and now after3 hevy reflux episodes without Doctors supervision or medicine changes, or dosage due to weight changes or what ever, they reschedule us again through January 17 REALLY!! We, the Pediatrician and us are very surprice and concern about this lack of everything .... If you can not attend your critical patience’s, do not take more infants.... Just picture this,: if your are 4 month old and the doctor reschedule your urgent a needed visit 40 days ahead it’s 33% of your life time... 12 years on a 40 year old person.... Really.... two babes, two pure and helpless lives that needs care and urgent care.... Hope never I will run into them again...Doctor and staff. Searching for a caring infant gastroenterologist now.... Such a terrible, terrible experience with this Doctor and his office, lake of care, lack of responsibility, and commitment. I give this office an overall "D." If you can, try to find better. Here is an honest, very detailed chronological breakdown of my experience. 1. Initial appointment call with Ada was out-of-this-world unbelievable. To say she was rude would be the understatement of the century. She was downright antagonistic, hostile and unbelievably sarcastic while I tried to make an initial appointment. When she asked for my child's dr and I gave her the pediatrician's name, she laughed ever so condescendingly and told me I was calling the wrong place. Once I clarified that I was giving her the pediatrician's name (as I thought she had asked) and I KNEW I was calling a GI office, she calmed down. Not even a minute later, however, she couldn't contain her evil streak and had the audacity to say, "Well, Duhhhhh" when I told her the reason for my call was because my child was having "stomach issues." Now, I'm not an ignorant person and being caught off guard by such a disrespectful low-life who really has no business answering ANY phone, may have certainly affected my eloquence, but NO ONE NEEDS TO BE SPOKEN DOWN TO or treated with such arrogant disdain, ESPECIALLY someone who is about to give your practice good business and put bread on your own darn table!!! It was quite the 1st impression. 2. Moving on to the actual visit, the receiving receptionist (NOT Ada, Thank God), was indifferent, but at the very least, respectful. She, along with others working behind the desk exuded such bitterness. Perhaps they're mistreated or take their cues from the doctors - who knows? BIG shout-out to Chastity who was the only receptionist who actually took the time to...wait for it, it's coming...make eye contact and share a genuine smile!!! The cherry on top was when she bothered to care and asked if I was being helped. She was like the beacon of light in the vast toxic, venomous darkness that enshrouds that office. 3. As assistant (bleach blonde, may have been Victoria) called my child about 20 minutes after checking in, she did so with somewhat of an initial smile that quickly faded when we were inside. Just like the others, she seemed indifferent, as if she really disliked her job. Her mumbling questions were trite and scripted. Seriously, you get more compassion out of the not so friendly postal worker you visit once a year to pick up/drop off a package. Nevertheless, she was competent in taking height and weight, or so it seemed. 4. Once in the room, I was, quite frankly, in shock. While not the norm for pediatric patients, the stark and barren walls were easy enough to get over, BUT the FILTH and disgusting stains and wear-marks on the walls were shocking. I thought we were in a 3rd world country. There were black wear-marks on the walls above seats where people's heads would presumably touch - SO gross. There were even mystery brownish drip streaks above the patient bed. When an established doctor's office doesn't care to keep presentable, clean rooms, they clearly don't care about the patient experience and it's frankly no wonder that toxic attitude spills over to the employees. Such a shame. 5. Our visit with Dr. Diaz was one of the few positives in our otherwise dreadful experience. We didn't wait too long for him to enter and he was affable, seemed to show genuine concern, and had a refreshingly upbeat demeanor. He seems to like what he does and when working with children, it makes a world of difference. Time will tell if he cares enough to actually follow up with my child's concerns and testing results. 6. As we left our visit, the check-out receptionist was friendly and helpful. Wish I'd caught her name, because like Chastity, she seemed to be the exception to the rule. My advice to patients: Dr. Diaz was good, but the overall experience left way too much to be desired. There are better options. My advice to management: CLEAN the office and patient rooms, take PRIDE in your appearance, have your staff take some lessons from the employees at Chik-fil-a, and for goodness sake, don't let Ada anywhere near other humans! I give this office an overall "D." If you can, try to find better. Here is an honest, very detailed chronological breakdown of my experience. … More

Dr Diaz recently managed my sons hospital admission at Joe D. He was admitted for reoccurring c. diff and was very ill. Dr. Diaz was absolutely extraordinary. From his bed side manor to the way he examined my son, everything was top notch. My husband and I felt confident in his abilities and we not disappointed. He took charge of the situation and was very deliberate in his decisions. He is thorough and cautious, and my son is doing great. Blessed beyond measure to have this doctor on our side!
