Diane Hughes

I had a hysterectomy a year ago. Dr. Hughes was outstanding!! The surgery was done so perfectly I did not need pain medication at all (this is for real, no pain meds!). I was shocked! I was discharged from the hospital the next day and went back home feeling like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders: no more heavy bleeding, no more irregular periods, no more pain! It's a year later, and I am so happy I made that decision. Dr. Hughes gave me tons of information before my surgery and went over all my options so that I could make an informed decision. The office staff is also amazing. I have a good time every time I go there because they are always friendly and funny. I highly recommend Dr. Hughes. She changed the quality of my life, and I am so grateful!!

I have been seeing Dr. Hughes for over 10 years. She treats you like I am a family member. she listens. She really cares, and so does her staff. Dr. Hughes is Amazing! Although she is an OBYGN, she truly cares about your overall health. She takes her time with her patients and give advice on vitamins, healthy foods, and best practices. Love, love, love her.

Dr. Hughes was my first ever ob/gyn and I absolutely loved her. She is such a direct doctor and will not beat around the bush. I saw another review stating “she is not for the weak or sensitive” and I have to agree 100%! She always has the patients well being in mind and she truly is a champion for women’s health. I always left her appointments feeling informed and at ease. She was my doctor through my first pregnancy and 2 years after. My pregnancy, labor & delivery was great, I felt comfortable and protected under her care at all times. I’m unfortunately not her patient anymore due to her not being in my network :( I’m currently pregnant with baby #2 and my current doctor’s bedside manner doesn’t even compare to the quality of Dr. Hughes’ work. Staff at this location was wonderful as well! Dr. Hughes was also very helpful with contraception after delivery. If my insurance network ever changes, I would go back in a heartbeat. I absolutely love my doctor and her staff. Dr. Hughes actually listen to my needs and concerns. She gives the best advice and is so real and truthful about herself and procedures. Her staff makes you feel like family and makes you want to come in for a visit. Would highly recommend The Women Center of Greater Houston to someone.

Showed up to office and was denied services for having two insurances. I have never heard of that in my life! When questioned about the absurdity of this the front office staff, office manager, and even the Dr. was rude and not helpful! All I got was I'm sorry you can reschedule. I noticed there were not any patients of color there, and I believe that my experience here was discriminatory! Not asking for sympathy, just wanting others to be aware I will take my two insurances elsewhere, as this the worst experience I've ever had with a medical professional! Dr. Hughes gave me the best experience. She is very kind and really cares about her patients. I love the fact that she educates her patients in having an overall healthy lifestyle, starting with nutrition and a healthy mindset.

Dr. Hughe delivery my son in 2014. Now I’m currently pregnant and I wish she would be my OBGYN again! But, since she’s GREAT! She’s currently over booked unfortunately. Dr. Diane Hughes is not for the weak or sensitive. She is honest about your health and will not beat around the bush when it comes to what you need and what is wrong. She has given birth to all four of my children, she had dealt with all issues I've had before and after I've had each of my children, and she has not only made me but my husband feel like family. Amazing is what she is! She is very blunt and straight forward about your care, Dr. Hughes takes her time with you and never make you feel rushed.

Dr. Hughes is a genuinely caring doctor. She recently suggested the Mona Lisa Touch for me. After having my first procedure I could tell it was life changing. It’s because of doctors like her who go above and beyond for their patients well being that I have a healthier and happier life. So grateful to have her!

If I could give no stars and have it post I would. My wife was her patient up until 7th month of pregnancy. Through out these months the irritabilty moodiness and attitude was all we could handle.Upon switching doctors we heard the words no parent should ever have to hear. Our child was a T18 baby!!! As parents, ready to embrace our second child we knew something was not right early on, but we chose to confide in a new Doctor in a new area of town. Dr.Hughes demonstrated the lack of sensibility and showed her inability to hear a mother out ,and this caused so much more stress and heart ache than needed. It is not right to blame Dr.Hughes for the loss of our child , but from the mouth of many fetal specialist and ob's ,"she showed a real lack of incompetence not being able to detect the syndrome early on". THIS IS THE BEST OB/GYN HANDS DOWN!! She delivered my second child on December 9,2016 and i have got to say it was beyond the best delivery experience ever! Every appointment was well worth it and she took such good care of me! I couldn't be any more blessed to had found the best ob/gyn ever! The staff is also very kind and treat you so well i love love love this place! I would definitely recommend her to anybody who wants to be treated well during their pregnancies!! I can't speak higher of any doctor I've ever been to. In 2014 I was tired of an ongoing pain I'd had for almost a year. My current OBGYN had been telling me that I had ovarian cysts but the pain was far more than just that. I decided to try Dr. Hughes for a second opinion. During my first visit she promised to help figure out the true source of this pain. Several tests were ran and we found out that it was NOT an abdominal issue, but instead I needed hip surgery and the 2 year pain was due to the abnormal shape of my hip bone. I had been to a few doctors and no one had taken the time to help me figure out what this was! Through her recommendations I was able to find a doctor who knew what he was doing and performed a successful hip bone correction.( I'm already teary eyed writing this). Fast forward to 2017: after months of pain associated with fibroids we decided that removing my uterus was the best option for me. She's a PHENOMENAL woman and doctor. Her office staff is amazingly thorough and kind and I really appreciate how well they communicate with you. It's a God-given skill to be able to breathe new life into your patients and forget that you're human as well. Not once have I felt like she (or her staff) put herself or her needs before mine. She is a phenomenal woman and highly skilled doctor. It's obvious that this profession is not her 'job' but rather a passion that her heart is in. Awful awful Doctor!!!! Reason for the death of my daughter

New patient, called to set up appointment for November and was told by their receptionist that they are not taking any new patients until the first of the year. What? Guess I won't be going here.

Worst medical experience i've EVER had.Was rushed into ER with internal hemorrhaging,They called Dr.Hughes into ER.She had an attitude that she had to come back.Her first words to me were ''I just got home and had to turn around to perform your surgery,why didn't you come in earlier" who says that to someone about to go into emergency surgery. Isn't that what on-call doctors are for? Following surgery ive been experiencing alot of pain.I went back after my two week post op chk to let her know and i was told that the pain wasn't from the surgery and that i needed to find another doctor because obviously i needed special care.WHAT IN THE HECK??? Ive never been so disrespected or treated so bad before by a Dr.I just went to another OB and sure enough one of my incisions is infected and has yellow ooze.How didnt she see that??? Dr. Hughes is an excellent Doctor. She and her staff work very hard to make sure you are well taken care of and informed. I see people comment on her bedside manner (which I never saw error with in the nearly four years she has been my doctor) but to each their own, I suppose). I'm not sure what other people expect from a medical professional but I have always felt she sympathized with my concerns and was comforted. For me, I wanted an intelligent doctor who would listen and address my complaints/concerns and give me the information to make an informed decision. In Emergency situations she is on top of things and easily contacted, which I appreciate. Her staff is so nice. When I would come in for visits the receptionist would play with my daughter until I was done with my check up and they are so personable. I have been a patient since 2014 and Dr. Hughes has helped my husband and I through a long hard journey to conceive our second child after 2 miscarriages. This will be my third baby to have delivered by Dr. Hughes and it is entirely because I trust her medical expertise. Her office staff is nice, Lizette (nurse) is awesome, so is May. They are good about communication and are easily contacted for questions. Dr. Hughes is the type of Doctor that gives you the information to make the best choice so you are a part of your cognitive part of your treatment. When you choose Her as your obgyn you know she will be there for you.

I'm going to go ahead and put my 2 cents in after reading a few bad reviews. Dr. Hughes is an amazing doctor. I have been seeing her for YEARS. I will agree that she is not all soft and touchy feely....but I would rather have a doctor who is to the point and all business. I'm not going there for a moral boost. I have never had a bad experience with her. And as long as I've been going there....she listens to every complaint that I have ever had and takes it seriously. I recently had to switch doctors during my pregnancy because of the hospital she delivers in. Northeast is TERRIBLE. Now that I'm post partum...I will be returning to her care. Yes the wait time is longer than expected...but she is definitely worth it. Her staff is equally amazing as well. Keep it up! Love you gals! Great Doctor! As an RN of 20 years, i am very, very selective of the doctor I choose. Dr. Hughes is an excellent doctor with an amazing bedside manner and is very professional. She explains every thing and makes sure you have a full understanding of your visit and further plans to keep you healthy. She is compassionate and I have never once felt rushed. Her office staff is always courteous on the phone and in person. The wait time after signing in has always been less than 15 minutes. That is incredible for an OB/GYN!! I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Hughes and two days before her office called to re-schedule. I then made another appointment and went to the appointment and arrived right on time. I waited in the office for over one hour and a half. No one came to tell me what was going on. I told them I had to leave soon. They told me they would have to re-schedule. I told them I had already re-scheduled. When I tried to make a third appointment they told me that she had nothing for 5 months!!!!!

Horrible, horrible, doctor. No bed side manner, completely rude and stuck up. Blames everything on patient and forgets that people are supposed to feel safe with their doctors, I felt like I was in danger 24/7 in her presence.

Dr. Hughes is amazing. I finally got a diagnoses of PCOS after years of having another OBGYN telling that i didn't have it. She's helped me manage my symptoms of my PCOS, and has taught me a lot about PCOS which has helped me in my everyday life. She just did my surgery to take out two benign ovarian tumors, that we thought were ovarian cysts at first. She could have just ruptured the cysts when she took them out, but she took the time to scrape them off and preserve them so that they could be looked at further. I had pro-laps surgery in 2006, and had been having problems after forever and had gone to another doctor then to Dr.Huges and after she examined me she suggested another Doctor to me who finally after 4 yrs was able to tell me all my problems were from the mesh placed into me at my pro-laps surgery back in 2006. At first, I was VERY upset with her approach but after a couple of days, I realized that we need more doctors like her. Straight to the point and knows what she's doing. I cried in her office and she did offer some support but overall a bit more aggressive than I expected. I did some research on her diagnosis and realized she hit the nail on the head.
