I was referred to Dr. Clavin from my PCP due to being a high risk pregnancy. I am 46 years old and this WAS my first pregnancy. After lab work Dr. Clavin told me that my hormone levels were low and she believes this will be a miscarriage. On December 9, 2021 I had a ultrasound and pelvic examination ( which I cannot understand what the pelvic exam was for). However the ultrasound revealed that my baby had no fetal heart tones only a fetal pole. Dr. Clavin stated she is 100% that this will be a miscarriage. Now this morning 12/10/21 I’m starting to spot. I’ve never felt as if I was having a miscarriage. I believe that when she did the pelvic examination she implanted something that caused my miscarriage. If there is anyone else that suspects this has happened to them please post and reach out. I will be checking these reviews daily. Thanks. Dr. Clavin does not genuinely care about your well being. She has been my gynecologist for a few years now and whenever I wanted to switch my birth control she denied me because I didn’t have a reason to give her as to why I wanted to switch birth controls. I believe that it is my body and my choice. Absolutely ridiculous!

I'm years late leaving a review. But, the conversation had with friends just came up. This was about 9 years ago. I about died from sepsis while 7 months pregnant with my son. Craziest and most painful thing I've ever been through. The hospital along with diana done a fantastic job getting me through everything. I believe if it were anyone else and a different hospital I would have died. I remember after the birth, I said "no more babies". Lol I now have 2 more beautiful boys. She is god sent. Dr. Clavin delivered my baby in March, 2004. I had just moved to Slidell from FL & didn't know anyone. I got her practices' name from the phone book! And I am so glad I did. She was extremely professional, listened to my concerns, answered all my questions clearly. I had originally seen another associate, who asked Dr. Clavin to see me for an ultrasound due to my age. There were some other issues & I could tell she knew her stuff & switched to her as my primary ob. I don't judge a Dr by their bedside manner, but the 1st one was too preachy. Not Dr. Clavin. She went along with what I wanted, even if she may not have personally agreed (c-sect, formula feeding). I'm forever grateful that she delivered my healthy, happy son, 15 years ago!

They cancelled my appointment last minute after I was dieing in pain

Dr Calvin does not care about her patients she only cares about the money she doesn’t communicate at all bad obgyn wouldn’t recommend at all

She doesnt care about her patients and charged me for services she never rendered. I could not believe that when I got a bill. That is being addressed and I'll leave it at that. Very uneducated on the pellet hormone aspect. She inserted them in the wrong place last time (must have been experimenting) trying to see if they would work being inserted somewhere else. Well they did not take and she was wanting to charge me another $350 for her screw up. Not happening! Do not go to her for hormone therapy. She is compassionate, caring and wonderful. Love her

I’ve been with doctor Calvin for 12 years now. She’s delivered all four of my babies. She definitely knows her stuff! She always made me feel comfortable and confident that I’m getting the best care.

Worst doctor I have ever seen. I went to slidell memorial hospital because i was home alone and didn’t have anyone to drive me to St Tammany Hospital where my doctor is. Mrs Clavin states to me” Next time dont come here go to St Tammany!” How can a medical professional thats in the ER state that to anyone regardless of the situation?

Good doctor. Her main concern was the health of me and my baby. The hospital was awesome. Out of five deliveries, this was the easiest. My wishes were carried out up to what she would allow (laboring with wireless fetal monitoring, no Pitocin, etc...).

She was very rude, made us all feel very uncomfortable. My husband and son was with me and she pushed them out of the way like they didn't matter. She didn't communicate with us about anything going on with the pregnancy. I'm high risk and she just made me feel like it was no big deal and that if it worked out it did and oh well if it didnt. I have read alot of the other reviews and she is EXACTLY what they have said. Do not go to her. She was very rude, made us all feel very uncomfortable. Dr.Clavin is a great doctor ????

Worst Dr ever!! Very rude, doesn't discuss anything with patient. Acts like the pregnancy doesn't mean anything.

Always thorough in explanation & planning, if any needed. Professional & kind.

I absolutely recommend Dr. Clavin... she is all about baby and you... making sure you both are okay... if she sees a problem she your I her office or in the phone so she can give you specific instructions... she cares a lot about listening to you and your birth plan and tries her hardest to make sure it can happen... she awesome... save 2 of my pregnancies so im very thankful...

I would recommend her because I feel as though she is very knowledgeable, efficient, and passionate. I think sometimes her personality is a little too serious but that doesn't discount her capabilities.
