Dr. McManus was extremely insensitive and completely inappropriately yelled at me over the phone. He was the on call doctor for the day and I was calling for my ill husband. He should not do on call work.

The doctor himself and his staff do not comply with masking. Their masks were down around their chins, or with noses deliberately left out. This is simply inexcusable, but was an accurate reflection of the atmosphere of the office - total disregard for the patient. The doctor's bedside manner was arrogant, condescending and dismissive. I was left waiting for about 20 minutes in an exam room as I could hear him and his nurse practitioner gossiping in his office next door. I have no problem with waiting for a busy MD - but he wasn't seeing patients, or dealing with medical issues! He was holding court in his office, tying up his NP at the same time, and left all the patients waiting while he gossiped with his staff! I cannot recommend this doctor. Dr.McManus has been my physician for many years and my respect for his knowledge and the quality of care plus overall friendliness of the entire stuff while maintaining highly professional attitude is off the charts. Also, his office is run with an incredible efficiency, information provided and the logistic management of patients care beyond impressive. Wish I could give Dr.McManus 10 starts, he is in the class all by himself. Excellent doctor with up to date newest medical research knowledge, cares deeply for his patients, is pleasant and easy to talk to, takes time to answer questions in detail and to make it all even more perfect his office logistically functions flawlessly and extends the same amount of respect and care for the patients well being and comfort.

Completely dissatisfied. I have been battling chronic health issues for 2 years and the most mcmanus has done was reffer me to a doctor in boston who told me nothing was wrong with me. I have seen this man countless times for several health problems and only recieved received half assed treatment as well as an attitude, leaving me feeling like the bourdon. Every time i call the phone is not answered. One instance the secretary made a slight mistake on scheduling and called me once and i missed the call, they left no voicemail, i call back within 5 mins. No answer. I continue to call back approximately 8 times and no one answered. I come in the next day for what i thought was my very important appointment, and im informed that they have "been trying to reach me and the appointment was canclled". I have seen him a few times to test certain things such as thyroid and vitamin D levels (suggested by ANOTHER doctor) and the labs were not the complete evaluation. Frusterating to have a primary care who doesnt care. Completely dissatisfied. I have been a patient for many years and Dr McManus has been there for me through the sudden death of my husband; two strokes and a severe respiratory illness. He has encouraged second opinions, when I’ve sought them. I trust him and his staff with any of my medical concerns.
