Dr. Devendra S Kahlon

Dr Kahlon is my gastro dr and I'm happy to say every visit to his office is professional and caring. Dr has done several procedures and always goes over the results of the exam; his team is efficient and knowledgeable. He is very interested in his patients. His staff has always treated me with respect.

So awesome! Very professional-personable. Great bedside manners with a great personality! I am so glad my primary Dr. Soni referred me to Dr. Kahlon! I highly recommend!

Doctor Kaylon has done two procedures for me. He is very caring and explanes things well. His nurse is great. He, since I had seen him last, has a new front desk person and appointment scheduler. Phone was answered quickly. Appointment made. This is a great improvement. Good job young lady!!!

I will start with the receptionist. She needs to be fired. She has no business dealing with clients. I have been attempting for a month get procedure instructions and prescriptions filled. It took 3 attempts to actually get the pre-procedure instruction from the office. The first email was sent with no attachment. When I responded there was no attachment, I got a response a couple days later that they did not know what i was looking for. When I called Again to get the instructions the reception sounded extremely annoyed and insisted she already sent them. I have yet to be able to get them to call the pharmacy so I can get pre-procedure meds. Avoid at all costs! Horrible!

I would go lower but that was not an option. You can not get through to anyone all you get is an answering machine and you leave a message and no calls back. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

I do understand that when people are writing reviews they are writing their opinion of the practice as a whole. But I would take an unpleasant receptionist any day of the week to have the expertise, compassion and wisdom that Dr. Khalon exhibits so profoundly. There are no other doctors that I know of like this one and I’ve been to a lot of Gastroenterologists in my life. All of my friends go to him and love him. So anyone reading these reviews needs to take a look at the pros and cons as every doctor out there has negative reviews for one reason or another and most of the time it’s about the doctor himself. Not so the case here. If you want the best care you’re going to find in this area, you’ve come to the right place. Dr. Kahlon’s center where he performs the procedures is immaculately clean, extremely comfortable and welcoming. His nurse, Martha, was there for me every time I needed a listening ear. Everything this man does is out of a true love and concern for his patients. And in this case, the medical industry is blessed to even have a man like this in practice when so many other doctors are out there for reasons other than a true concern for their patients. Yes, I’ve gone to voicemail as well. I leave a message and get a call back as soon as they are able. This is a very busy office and I think they do an excellent job of trying to stay on top of everything. Unless you work in the medical field, you may not understand how insanely busy these offices are, especially these days. We need to give all of our medical workers a break. They are doing the best they can. Please pay more attention to the positive things in life than the negative, also remembering that you never know when negative reviews are written because that person is having a bad day themselves. Every time I try and call I go straight to voicemail. Ive been calling for a week. at different hours to make sure they are open or not at lunch.

Dr Kahlon has been very thorough and helpful. He put in a lot of extra work to research and consider how his treatment will impact other non-GI conditions I have. This office isn't accepting patients in person to be attended but are accepting people in the office to pay your bill. Everything has to be over the phone "virutal". How the Dr. is going to diagnose a disease if CAN'T SEE ME? Don't put health on risk, go to another Dr.

The Dr. very profesional and humble, but the front desk lady terrible, never pick up the phone or ever call back, and to get here to pick up the phone to make a apointment is almost impossible….sorry for Dr. kahlon….no body like Sandy that retired some years back….

I agree with everyone on here who says the office lady I believe her name is Martha has a bad attitude and a unprofessional way of talking to people. She’s the voice you hear in the voicemail, I dread when she picks up the phone and shouldn’t be in her position or in this office period!

I called to schedule an appointment because I feel a bump close to my stomach and I’m nervous and concern, so the lady who was helping is not kind at all, first she mentioned they are taking patients Through phone so I just asked is they will be able to check that bump over that and with a bad attitude said WE ARE NOT TAKING ANYONE OVER THE OFFICE and I was like oh I’m sorry so let’s proceed then to schedule me, ye mentioned the only day they can see me is sept 1st at 1:45 pm, I kindly asked her is there any other date that can be an hour earlier than that since I work in the afternoon and she said NO. Unfortunately even if Dr. Kahlon is the best GI Doctor in the region, I will not be going here due to the disrespect and unprofessionalism displayed by the scheduler I spoke with. I was put on a list to contact and schedule an appointment yesterday, and I never received a call or a message. Assuming it was a simple misunderstanding, I called this morning to follow up. The scheduler insisted that she called me, spent a few minutes looking at her records, and stated what time she had noted she called me, instead of trying to schedule me an appointment. She then said she HAD scheduled me an appointment - but we had no discussion of wether or not the date that she picked for me would actually work for me. I do not feel that my health is at the top of her priorities, and I certainly don't feel confident that when I show up on the date she picked for me that another patient who received the voicemail meant for me won't also be waiting to be seen. As a rule I do not write reviews, however, today I must write a review. I had a Colonoscopy this A.M. at Advent Health in Haines City, Florida. From the time I arrived, the staff was wonderful. Needless to say I was nervous and concerned. The professional staff was compassionate, and set my mind at ease. That was a big plus! But when Dr. Kahlon appeared I knew I was in the right facility. Dr. Kahlon is one of the most compassionate and understanding physician I have met in a very long time. Dr. Kahlon without realizing it, made my apprehension subside. For those patients who sends derogatory remarks on this Doctors review, that is your prerogative. However, you all need to be mindful and coherent and not be delusional when you write your review and refer a person's name or staff on a facility. First of all, YOU have no right to disclose any names unless YOU ARE CERTAIN and can provide evidence of speaking to that person regardless of what transpired from your conversation. Second, I have been seen by Nurse Martha many times and she is as professional, cordial and a very caring person. It is not right to wrongfully accuse a person. I totally disagree with your remarks and to who ever is following this person's intellectual and selfish demeanor; I suggest you get your facts straight and be fair and have respect to Health care workers. They are here for us to help and take care as best they can. There are only three staff in this office. Many years I have been going in this office. Yes there are days that they are busy and could not get to me as I wanted to. As a Patient, we also have our own responsibility to set up our appointments if instructed. This happens to all other clinics.. Dr. Kahlon's Staff strives hard to provide the best care for all their patients. It is understandable for us patients to sometimes feel the lack of attention, and angered, when we do not receive the immediate attention we need or want, based on situation. They have many patients, and their job is not easy. Doctor's office have many certain challenges to meet demands of individual patients. Many Patients have more serious illness than others that requires more time and attention. When its my time to be seen, he takes very good care of me, along with his Staff. I do miss seeing Dr. Kahlon personally. This COVID pandemic has deeply affected our lives. It has placed restraints from visiting our love ones, Families and even Doctors personally. It is unfortunate, this COVID pandemic has restricted us from seeing some of our Doctor's personally from both Internal Medicines or any specialty Doctors. We have to understand, they are only following the CDC guidelines and to protect their families as well... I will respect that and you should all too. If we are in severe pain, we need to understand the need to go to the Hospital not a clinic. In almost a lifetime with continues problems with upper and lower GI, I had the experience from other GI Specialist, Doctors and clinics. Dr. Kahlon and his team of Staff certainly has provided me the utmost exemplary care a Patient can ask for and I will defend this office credibility as I know many other Patients of Dr. Kahlon would share the same sentiments as I do. I have not yet encountered the good doctor. But I will say that so far my experience is mixed. The nurse-practitioner is competent and attentive. But reaching the office and dealing with the receptionist is a trial in patience. The woman is replete with attitude and a lack of service mentality. She treated me as a child and it took every fiber of my being to not strangle her. As a result I am done with the practice and will look elsewhere.

Dr Kahlon has been my doctor since 2002. I have been thoroughly satisfied with the relationship and the services that are provided from his office. I recently moved away from this area and I will drive about an hour still to have my visits with him. His bedside manner and his caring attitude are very authentic. I recommend anyone to see this doctor and guarantee you'll be satisfied. For those of you that had a bad experience with one or two things going on in his office, I urge you to not let that dissuade you from seeing the best GI doctor in Polk county.

Unfortunately due to the unprofessional and disrespectful nature of the Scheduler I spoke with, I will not be using Dr. Khalons services.

I made an appointment with this doctor, because needed a colonoscopy. It was a referral from my primary doctor. I’m very sorry to say that my experience was a bad one. I was scheduled for a videoconsult, but when the day and time come... the office never call. They never call for a confirmation a few days earlier like most of professionals, or later to re-schedule or apologize. Even worst, when I call the next day to ask why they never call, they lie to me saying they call several times even to confirm, when it never happened, and implied I’m a liar... so dissapointed.

Unfortunately, I feel very upset right now. I made an appointment and they told me that they accept my insurance but when I called my insurance they said they this doctor is not in the network. I called to cancel and the receptionist Rachel told me that I need to pay $30 because I didn't cancel in 24 hours. They never told me about this fee when I did my appointment. Then over the phone Rachel got very sarcastic and rude and I get in to the same level and only asked her to speak with someone else but she refuses to help or transfer to someone else because at this point I really felt upset and more when she referred to me as mam knowing that I'm a male. After that, I tried to call again and she just placed me on hold and never get back to me. I will like the doctor to please give me a call because I see that Rachel does not want to help me. I had the privilege of having an EGD performed by Dr Kahlon. The moment he walked through the door, during my initial consultation, I felt that I was in "good hands" Dr Kahlon is very pleasant , extremely professional, listen attentively, and was very patient with me. He has excellent bedside manners, and is very trustworthy! He took the time to show me pictures of the findings of my procedure, and explained everything. Dr Khalon is one of the best gastroenterologist ever. For Dr khalon , patients are always come first and money last. He has all the good qualities a Dr suppose to have, I can say a few: compassion, understanding , empathy honesty, commitment, humanity etc. He has a great staff, excellent customer service. You never have to wait for a long time to be seing. If I could give more star, I would give him a billion star. Dr Kahlon is an amazing Dr...and unfortunately because of his inept staff I had to give this office one star..The nurses were very condescending and confrontational..First of all I waited for an appointment almost 2 months..because the Dr Kahlon was very booked..so on the morning of my appt ..I arrive to my appt and was told at the front desk that I would be seeing a nurse instead..unreal! Wow, what a great, friendly and professional staff......AND ON TIME!!!

I was so happy that all his staff took care of me so professionally and quickly. My first visit at his office I was seen on time and done in less than 30 minutes. Dr Kahlon is a good doctor however his office lady (front desk) is the first point of contact and she is very rude and disrespectful. She does not accurately take information and allowed someone to call and change my appointment when no one is one my account. She accused me of someone calling and changing the appointment and said my wife, I’m not married. Then she changed her story to someone on my account. For ease of appointments and accuracy I would avoid this office

Dr. Kahlon is a very kind, caring, professional who listens to your concerns, and has so far given great advice. My husband and I have seen him over the past year and are very pleased with his medical judgment.

I always refer my family and friends and others to Dr Kahlon. Been seeing him since 2002. I am very much at ease and he is always concerned about my health. I trust him and won't go to another Dr. With my stomach problems. So glad I found him.
