Dr. Derrick Gerard Hickey

It's all in my previous notes. This is a very nasty way to do business. I can't even believe this office has made me wait a month in pain for nothing.

My son was injured playing soccer and broke his wrist. Dr. Hickey was WONDERFUL! Thanks so much. Highly recommend.

Dr. Hickey has been my hand doctor of choice for 14 years. Treating me for surgery and two broken bones, I have found his care to be exemplary as well as his expertise. He has gone beyond his responsibility to treat and advise me on my injuries. I wish all doctors were as caring and conscientious as Dr. Hickey.

Was the on-call orthopedic surgeon for new Hanover regional medical center ER on a Thursday. However, upon calling we were told he doesn't do surgery on Fridays and that I'd have to wait until Monday. Mind you I had a 6 year old who had just badly broken her wrist. The front desk nurse tells me to just give her pain meds until Monday when they can get her in. We cancelled and will seek out someone else who actually cares about his patients.

My appointment was at 9:00am and I didn't get put into a room until 10:00am. The staff is not friendly. And once I was in the room it took the doctor 15 minutes to come in.
