Denny A Nakayama

I recently had an excellent visit with Dr. Denny Nakayama. He is a very caring and knowledgeable physician. He listened to me very patiently for my issues, offered me my options with details. He also let me decide which option I wanted to choose for myself. The waiting time was only about 5 minutes! Unlike many my others' offices that I have visited.

No result does not do off island patients referred back to idiot on Molokai and still suffering thanks for the cost

dr nakayama and his staff are amazing!!!! he has been my rheumatologist since 2009 and continues to give me exceptional care and service. much mahalos for ur kokua and malama!!??

What a disappointment, I've seen several doctors and specialists and this by far was the worst visit I've ever had. Completely did NOT care about me, did not let me answer questions without cutting me off, spent less than 10 minutes with me after flying inter island to see him. Seems he just likes to stack up the appointments and bulldoze through them as fast as possible. I would never recommend this doctor to anybody.His diagnosis was if I had a better attitude maybe I wouldn't feel so bad. Joke of a doctor, really.

I wouldn’t advise a polymyalgia rheumatica patient to see Dr Nakayama. He seemed very uninformed in his treatment of PMR.

I had to fly interisland to see him and was left disappointed. I got in early to see him but he barely spent 10 minutes speaking with me. He didn't make me feel comfortable. He barely asked any questions and didn't take my concerns seriously. Waste of time and money.

Always easy to talk to. He gives you options and allows you to choose what works best for you.

Has or chooses to not use good bedside manner. Unprofessional. Asked personal exam questions in open area rather than take his time to do it in exam room.

Office staff are great. Dr. Nakayama is awesome. I wish there was a Rheumatologist on Maui like him. He takes the time to thoroughly exam you and listens to any concerns and addresses them. He's awesome - went to him for years before relocating to another island.
