Dr. Westin is excellent. I have recommended others to him. He is thorough, personable and up to date on drug therapies. He is open minded, supportive and it is easy to make appointments, change appointments, and he usually runs on time. His staff is professional, very kind and empathetic. The office is quiet, with soft instrumental music, and the waiting room is not crowded. He is an authentic person, no fakery or pretend, no agreeing with everything you say, or constantly repeating your own words back to you. I really like Dr. Westin, compared to many other psychiatrists I have seen in Tucson and elsewhere. Dr. Westin is excellent. I have recommended others to him. I saw Dr. Westin for approximately 10 years (2005 - 2015). He is the only psychiatrist I've met who takes copious notes during sessions. His 1/2 hour appts are affordable - cheaper than most 10 minute med checks for other psychs - and he does the work of a psychologist during these sessions. I called on 6/4/18 to see if the Dr was accepting new patients. The woman from the office took my information and said someone would get back to me shortly. Today 6/12/18, I had to call the office to see if the Dr. was accepting new patients or not. When I called a woman told me to hold and after a short wait she asked me what I wanted. She then put me on a short hold just to come back and say No, the Dr. is Not accepting new patients. I then proceeded to try to ask why no one had contacted me in the last week for an answer but half way through my sentence she told me to hold. I hung up. I called 6/4 to ask if the Dr. was accepting new patients, the woman took my information as said someone would be back to me shortly. Today is 6/12 and I just called the office was told to hold and after a short wait another woman came on the line asked what I needed then put me on another short hold just to tell me me No, the Dr. is not accepting new patients. I tried to ask why no one had contacted me yet but before I could finish the sentence she abruptly told me to hold. I hung up. RUDE.
