Great doctor who always takes great care of me. I would recommend his office to anyone

Dr. Hurford has been my practitioner for almost a decade. He’s helped me with ovarian cysts, loss including a DNC, infertility treatments and has recently delivered my first baby. I have nothing but praise for him personally and his practice. He is incredibly knowledgeable, so personable and very caring, especially when it comes to my struggles and concerns. I always feel heard, my questions are always answered —I am never rushed. Others in the office are always willing to get me in quickly and give me information when needed. They are helpful rather than gatekeepers like most other doctors office staff seem to be. The office wait times are brief, if at all. I would recommend him and his practice to anyone looking for a reputable healthcare provider.

Staff are friendly/efficient, waited less than 5 mins to be seen, dr is extremely personable, caring and informative

Dr James delivered my baby and she was very kind and patient. Would definitely recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Hurford delivered my baby while I was admitted in Arnold Palmer Hospital for women and children in Orlando FL. I had a blood clot (dvt)in my upper thigh area, I was rushed to Arnold Palmer via helicopter since the pain was so severe and contractions were starting. My baby needed two more months before delivery. The doctor who took my info when I first arrived dismissed the pain in my leg and was mostly concerned with the contractions and getting them stopped. Dr Hurford figured out what was happening and quite honestly saved my life and my baby’s life. He delivered her too. He was so good to me and the delivery process. I was a single mom and no judgement was passed to me. Dr Hurford was professional, kind and compassionate. This happened thirty years ago I can only imagine what an incredible doctor he is today. Even after thirty years I remember him and still feel very blessed that he was there during the most scariest time of my life. Thank You Dr. Hurford I pray you are continually blessed. Dr. Hurford is the best OB/GYN! I used the same doctor to deliver all four of my children and for several years after my last child was born. One day I mysteriously started having sharp pains at the beginning of my cycle. My normal doctor checked me and said he couldn't see anything wrong with me. Each month the pain seemed to get worse. 10 years and several doctors later I went to Dr. Hurford by that time I was at the end of my limit. The pain was taking 2 to 3 days a month from my life, my career suffered and my family and other relationships was suffering. Dr. Hufford listened and not only did he discover what was causing the pain he fixed!

My insurance plan has been in network with Meridian dr forever, however they are no longer a partner with Mercy Proffered and I obviously had no idea of changes, therefore, now have to pay all amount of visit $$$. Shame, that RNA at front desk never mentioned that, Will not come back after so many Years.

awesome doctors but rude woman at the desk. I was mistold information then she got an attitude with me and my mom.

Absolutely the worst doctor I have dealt with. Not only did I have issue with the way they decided to "ultrasound" my 18 virgin, autistic daughter, but their billing is a joke. Received a bill for the ultrasound, it's near the holidays. Paid half of it and was going to pay the rest of it as soon as I get paid again. Never a late payment, always taken care of our bill. Not only did they send a notice expecting the other half immediately, but then denied her appointment when we had the money for the copay. Bad business practices. Not to mention violating a young woman who was not told what you would be doing to her. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, however between practices and business management it is clear they are not worth it. Will be talking to the medical board, and patients make sure you understand your rights of consent as they will not explain it to you. Absolutely the worst doctor I have dealt with. Dr Hurford is a great doctor

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr Hurford so far. He’s very kind, and really wants to help With any problems you have. Very professional doctor. Highly recommended.

Dr. Hurford has been my trusted doctor for 25 years. He is kind, communicative, and a straight shooter. Lucky to have found him.

My visit was excellent it was one of the very first time that I've ever went to an OBGYN he made me feel completely comfortable he's great doctor! Definitely would recommend

Dr. Hurford took care of me during my pregnancy. He's very relaxed and patient, I never felt rushed or pressured. He always took the time to listen to my concerns and explained everything that was going on and what needed to be done. I never left his office feeling unhappy or frustrated. A bad doctor can absolutely ruin your pregnancy experience; Dr. Hurford made mine easier.

My first visit I was diagnosed with a miscarriage at 12 weeks and baby stopped growing around week 10. He took care of my d&c. When I became pregnant again. He knew I was freaked out and he even told me he would confided me high risk and keep a close eye on me! I was just another patient to his office! I called several and I mean several times when I become uncomfortable around 24 weeks. No one,NO ONE in his office had time to see me when I called several times for help and guidance! One of the drs in the practice even told me “ this is your first pregnancy you don’t know what normal is the baby is just in your rib cage!” Three weeks later, after pain no sleeping and not being able to take it any longer I went to the Wr only to be flown over to St. Louis to deliver at 27 weeks in all of that time not once did dr Hurford reach out to me to check on Myself or my child! After that I dropped him like a bad habit and will never return but will forever tell my story to warn others!!!!!

He was my doctor 18 years ago. He was supposed to deliver my child but was on vacation. His partner at the time did. Dalla Riva. When I went back for my checkup they were no longer partner's. I wanted to discuss about my traumatic delivery. Nobody would give me answers.

Dr. Hurford is a great doctor! He delivered my youngest daughter! I have No complaints!

Really nice guy. Glad I like him. Since I'm pregnant I'll be seeing him alot. Also he does the early ultrasound as well as the 20 weeks. I was excited, I've never gotten both and this is baby 4.

Dr. Hurford has delivered 3 of my children and is the best doctor! He takes his time to explain things for appointments and truly cares about his patients. Highly recommend him!

Dr. Hurford is great, makes you feel so comfortable and cared for. Goes out of his way to make every patient feel like he has known you a lifetime.

Dr. Hurford has been my dr for 16 years. He took me under his wing and guided me through a personally difficult journey. He was attentive, patient (waited for the whole answer before cutting me off), and gentle. When my first daughter was born and everyone was rushing over to her he came to my bedside and made sure I was ok, told me how good I did, and made sure I had all I needed before he left. Genuinely caring doctor.

Dr. Hurford is great! He delivered my son in July and was great all throughout my pregnancy. He explained things well, answered all my questions (even the ones I felt silly asking) and always maintained a professional presence. He was very laid back and would tell me his thoughts and without pushing me one way or another, let me make my own decisions. I would absolutely go to him again if my husband and I have another child.

My mother and mother-in-law now both go to him.

I am so tired of playing the waiting game. Here I sit in an exam room, ready to go, for almost and HOUR and no doctor. Really? You should schedule your patients in a way that they don't have to wait so long. If there was an emergency, tell me!!!! At least check on me. And this happens all. The. Time at this office.

Short wait in waiting room. Takes time with patients, and is very thorough and on top of things. He has awesome bedside manners, making the most anxious patient feel relaxed and in good hands. He is truly a doctor that cares about patients A+

If you or your loved one suffers from an invisible disability, Dr. Hurford is NOT a good choice for care. He would hold up his hand and stop us from speaking. A great way for a Dr. to miss vital information. I thought My wife would be less anxious without me in the exam room. So I activated her legal memory aid (Digital recorder/GPS) for her last office visit. I was enraged to hear that she was not even given the most basic of considerations. Dr. Hurford has delivered four of my babies. He has been an amazing doctor that cares for others like he would for his own family. He is set apart as very different than any other ob/gyn than any other doctor that I have ever had as a woman and mom. Now my grown girls are seeing him, and I wouldn't trust anyone else like I trust him. He is truly a gem among doctors. Dr. Hurford has delivered four of my babies.
