Dr Cantu saved my life! I recommend him!

I had the pleasure of working at Dr. Cantu's office back in 2012 or so. All I have to say is that he is an extremely intelligent doctor that knows what he is doing and goes out of his way to make sure his patient's get the best care possible. Dr. Cantu's office is located in Tower B of the Laredo Medical Center. Lots of nearby parking but can be a several minute walk. Large and very elegant waiting area. Administrative staff is friendly and helpful. A 45+ minute wait seems to be common before you actually see the doctor Appointments are usually available on a shorter notice than other internists in the Laredo area.. Dr Cantu is knowledgeable and will generally spend the necessary time with you. Make sure you fully cover your symptoms or issues with him. Dr. Cantu's personnel do not draw blood for the outside lab (Quest) so an additional wait may be necessary for the phlebotomist to arrive. Doctor and staff are very nice and professional.

Knowledgeable, usually takes his time with each patient. Long waits of an hour are more seem to be common.
