I had a terrible experience at Dr. Denise Elser's office at the Women's Health Institute of Illinois in Downer's Grove, IL today (Address: 6800 S. Main Street, Suite 214). After I arrived, I was asked by the front office receptionist to pay my co-pay, which I did. When I got the receipt for my payment, it did not specify the kind of services it was covering. Usually, when I get an invoice in the mail, it lists "office visit" or some description indicating what the payment was for. I asked the receptionist who processed my payment about that: what exactly was the payment covering. My question triggered an attitude from the receptionist that went from annoyance (implying “why do I need to explain this to you?”) to anger. Instead of saying “I am not sure, but I can find out” – she became irritated, repeating that “this is your co-pay for the visit” and offering no further assistance. She then called someone from Billing, who came out to the reception area where I was, to explain to m

DR ELSER IS A VERY GOOD PERSON IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ROIDS SHE WILL GET RID OF THEM.

Honestly- I've seen her since I was 18 and I'm now 33. She was able to correctly diagnose things in me that most doctors missed. The BEST Urogynecologist out there.

Dr. Elser has been a lifesaver. I've seen her for 15 years- she was able to diagnose the root of the pain I was dealing with. I have a complex case and she's the only one I trust to handle it.

Absolutely awful. She has no business working with human beings. She is beyond rude. Every time I sat in her waiting room, a woman would exit crying, and I wondered why. I completely understood why when she made me cry. I took my records and found a true professional elsewhere. Run fast and run far from Denise Elser.

Dr. Elser left me mutilated. I have had between 11 and 13 reconstructive surgeries with a total of approximately 25 to 30 procedures to go along with it.

Dr. Elser has been a miracle to my life! When I had no where else to turn she had all the answers and treatment solutions! So kind and really listens and cares. Thank you!!

Dr Elser is absolutely the best with bladder issues. She has repaired another Doctors mess and has done 2 surgeries on me and 2 other procedures and I am extremely grateful for her expertise

Saw Dr. Elser after test/exam & worriedthat surgery would be the only way to go feeling that my SUI was not to a point where I could not be out in public and was looking for other alternatives before mesh surgery due to complications that could make my condition worse. She seemed irritated w me/my questions re: safety of the mesh /complications researched internet, to check all possible complications before any surgery. I trust her surgical ability, but waiving on mesh I am allergic to plastic

receptionist on the phone so helpful and patient. Dr Elser is kind, she made me laugh, realizing I was really nervous about the appointment. She understood that my problem is complicated and made me feel like she really heard my concerns. I don't feel rushed into surgery like I did at another specialist's office. The best doc for bladder problems.

Dr Elser performed a hysterectomy back in 2012. I was always able to reach her afterward and the staff was always warm and welcoming! Highly recommended!

I have been suffering w/Urinary incontinence & Prolapse for years. Ihad surgery before but it didn't work. I appreciated that Dr. Elser sat with me after the exam. We looked at pictures to helped me understand what was going on & what my options were. She explained the non-surgical &different surgical choices & then told me what one she recommended. I did not feel rushed. I felt at ease. Although, I am nervous to have surgery again. I am sure I picked the best surgeon. Front desk & nurses great.

I called Dr Elser after a terrible experience with another physician. The 1st physician performed 3 procedures within 6 weeks, leaving me in constant pain, spotting and leaking urine. Dr Elser was compassionate as I explained my situation. She was professional and never judged or spoke ill of the 1st doctor. I consider myself 90% improved since Dr Elser repaired the damage done by the 1st dr's work.

She is a very compassionate Doctor and cares for her patients well being. I have seen her on several occasions for my bladder incontinence as well as my kidney stones. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Elser is very easy to talk to and makes me feel at ease when answering questions I may have. She encourages her patients to take control of their health by empowering them with knowledge.
