Dr. Ushkow truly cares about her patients lives, and is devoted to finding a way for you to get back to doing the things you loved doing before you got “sick”. Dr. Ushkow worked very closely with me for 6 years to help aide my severe breathing issues. Such a well researched, smart, empathetic, doctor who is dedicated to her patients health and over all well being. After years of experimenting with medications and different combinations, it takes a lot of patience and time. It can be frustrating but this is a doctor who really cares about finding what works for each individual, and who listens when you say “something is just not right…”. 10 out of 10 would recommend. I am a new patient and I am very satisfied with my consultation with Dr. Ushkow. She was not in a hurry. She explained what I wanted to know. What was really impressive was that she called me a few days before my appointment and told me that she moved my xray appointment nearer my appointment with her because she did not want me to wait for a long time. In my years of consulting several doctors, this is the first time that a doctor was really concerned about a patient's wait time from one appointment to another. I will recommend Dr. Ushkow in a heartbeat.

Amazing bedside manner and diagnostician

It was my first visit with Dr. Ushkow and I was most impressed with her very professional on how to treat and talk to a patient. I asked many questions and she answered each and everyone with perfect explanations of what and how to manage my breathing. Thank You Dr. Ronnie Hershman for your recommendation, she was excellent. PS what ever prescriptions she gave me, I am breathing better.

After seeing two other docs (my internist and an urgent care doc on a Sunday) who both minimized my complaints and did nothing to help me, I decided to visit a pulmonologist when my symptoms had not improved after two weeks. I was so fortunate to get an appointment in two days with Dr Ushkow! She spent a long time listening to me and examining me after ordering a stat chest x-ray. As an RN I have known many docs in my years of practice. Some are good and some not so. She is excellent!! ?

I saw Dr. Ushkow today as a new patient for an urgent visit. She was extremely nice and understanding. She took the time to listen to my entire situation. She explained what was going on with me in terms I could easily understand and discussed "the plan" clearly in a way I could understand. She showed genuine concern for my situation and was willing to help in getting me better for upcoming surgery. She was also helpful in getting me free samples and coupons for some of my prescriptions.

Dr Ushow was extremely thorough and patient. She very clearly explained all that was going on medically and the course of action she recommended. I was completely satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Ushow.

Dr. Ushkow was referred to me by a recommended pulmonologist who couldn't see me for two weeks. I was somewhat disappointed but couldn't have been more pleased with the compassionate and competent care of Dr. Ushkow. In addition to ordering needed meds to alleviate my symptoms she ordered tests that revealed I had indeed aspirated. She called my home several times until she reached me to explain the next steps and to answer any questions. She provided outstanding followup and treatment. TY!
