She recognized my poison ivy instantly and knew more would be appearing so I wasn't worried when new ones popped up and prescribed a cream to help with it. She is wonderful. She also took care of growths on my back that were irritating me. I thank God I found a doctor as thorough as she in checking my moles too. Highly recommend her!!!!!

I would definitely recommend Dr Schappell for your skin needs! She listened, and was very thorough. After she addressed the reason for my visit (a growth on my shoulder), she asked if there was anything else that concerned me. Wait time for my appointment was about 5 minutes.

Dr Schappell is an excellent dermatologist and diagnosed a condition which two other physicians missed. Her exams are thorough and treatment is appropriate. She takes time to sit and ask you if you have any additional questions or concerns with good eye contact. You will be pleased with her excellent care!

Dr. Schappell was recommended to me by a close friend that has been seeing her for a few years now. I had my first visit recently for a condition I've dealt with on/off for years. I was very pleased with the front office staff, and how the facility is being handled given the current pandemic. I was able to complete all my forms online beforehand, receive a digital receipt, and also didn't need to wait very long in the waiting or exam rooms; everyone was properly following CDC guidelines, which was much appreciated. An assistant came in promptly to do an initial review, and then Dr. Schappell came in after only a few minutes waiting. Being a scientist, I appreciate when doctors explain things to me scientifically so I can understand the why and how, so I was very happy when Dr. Schappell explained her theories on my condition. I opted for a biopsy for a more concise diagnosis, and the procedure was handled with care. Overall very happy and looking forward to my follow up appointment.

Sadly when the office personnel are rude, when the doctor doesn't follow up when they say they will, it doesn't make for a good experience. I will not teturn to this office because the office personnel is terrible and the doctor didn't follow up as scheduled.

She was very unprofessional and rude. Her notes from my first visit was not accurate, she did not help me with the problem and when questioned, she became defensive and walked out of the office. Told me to look for another professional. I was with my mother, who witnessed the whole thing and could not believe it. I would never recommend Dr. Schappel- and I just saw that other people have also wrote poor reviews- please read before going there!
