Dr. Deborah J. Edgeworth

She is a doctor that literally will not listen to you. She seemed very unconcerned with my health problems and provided no feedback. In fact she put me on birth control that I explained to her I couldn’t take because it made me bleed for months to the point I had to get a blood transfusion. Her answer was “ well even if you do have to get more blood transfusions, hopefully in a few months your body will get Acclimated.” She is a terrible doctor. I will never come back here. Neither Dr. Edgeworth nor her staff introduced themselves to me, a new patient. A student was in the room and she wasn’t introduced. They didn’t ask my name or anything about me. No thorough medical history was taken, no questions about relevant experiences or diagnoses. No opportunity to ask questions was given. Dr. Edgeworth spent less than 10 minutes in the exam room with me. She didn’t explain anything that was going on or give any feedback. I left the office in tears, feeling incredibly insignificant and not taken care of. To top it all off, the office is *filled* with newborn and family pictures. I don’t know who thinks this is appropriate, but Heaven help any woman who comes in here after a miscarriage or with infertility issues, because you will have to stare at newborns everywhere - even in the bathroom. If it wasn't for Mrs Edgeworth I wouldn't have my amazing daughter. She saved me and my daughter. I was told I couldn't have babies from another office in Panama city but I went to Doctor Edgeworth and she gave me hope. She delivered all three of my babies. I live in Gainesville now and don't trust any other obgyn I'm looking to travel back and forth just because how amazing she is. If it wasn't for Mrs Edgeworth I wouldn't have my amazing daughter. Several years ago I used Dr Debra Edgeworth for my provider. I needed surgery and at the time I felt confident in her as a provider. That was my first mistake. I had bleeding issues for a fairly straightforward surgery and post surgical visits were met with the Dr being aggressive towards me and causing me more pain physically with how she performed tests. That was the last time I went to her and would caution anyone thinking of using her for their care. Several years ago I used Dr Debra Edgeworth for my provider. A year ago Dr. Edgeworth did my surgery and now my boyfriend and I are PREGNANT!!!. A big thank you for being a wonderful doctor and helping us have a family. Highly recommend.

I was mistakenly referred to Dr. Edgeworth's office. Not their fault. Dr. Edgeworth still took the time to sit with me and talk about some concerns I had about a procedure they were unable to perform at that office. She didn't need to take that time with me but she did and I truly appreciate it. I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr E has been my gynecologist for many years. She is always attentive to my needs and questions. She always seeks a solution to any issue I have had. She delivered 5 of my nine grandchildren and always offered excellent care. My daughter in law went into labor at 34 weeks with our first grandchild and Dr E made the decision to not stop the process but to move forward with delivery. We are so thankful that she made this decision because upon delivery it was determined that there was a FULL knot in the cord and it was wrapped around his neck several times. Had she not made the decision that she made he most likely would have died in the womb due to lack of blood flow. Thank you Dr. E for your excellent care. Our grandson is a healthy 11 year old today.

Dr. Edgeworth is amazing doctor. I'm thankful that she actually to me serious when I explained her everything that was going on. I recommend her she is wonderful and caring . Thank you again Dr. Edgeworth.

Maybe she will remember February 14th, 2013. Maybe she will remember the two weeks leading up to that Valentines Day. Maybe she will remember the two weeks afterwards. My wife and I were expecting twins, when late in the 2nd trimester my wife's water broke. Instead of putting my wife in the ICU or something to keep her on bedrest so that the twins could have a remote chance of survival, she sent us home for our twins to "pass naturally". Well on Valentines Day, they did just that, and when she arrived for the post birth operation, she started to make mistake after mistake. First was during the exam trying to remove the placenta, she snapped a bloody glove off her hand splattering blood on EVERY person in that room, no apology, no acknowledgment. She then screwed up the D&C she had to perform, then another, and finally a third before finally someone from her office took over because of her incompetence. We tried to sue, she knows too many local lawyers.

15 years ago she delivered my son. The whole experience was something out of a nightmare. If I knew than what I know now I would have sued her for malpractice. At least then she could pay for the cost of another doctor to fix the damage she done to me. Lucky for her I was 22 and didn’t know any better. She's the best gynecologist that I've ever had! She listens and explains things thoroughly. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a gyn in this area.

Horrible do not get surgery by this doctor. She nearly killed me.

She was always in a rush never having time to talk to me and answer questions. I've been to quite a few doctors and she has been least gentle of them all.

Rude . hostel. Racist!!!

I have gone to Dr. Deborah Edgeworth, for 22 years & have had nothing but the highest quality of treatment. She's extremely knowledgeable & has a very nice bedside manner.

I have had only 1 exam in the 5 months I've been pregnant and I've been having swelling and migraines and nothing has been done about it or given any suggestions to help with these conditions

The doctor did not explain any possible side effects of any birth controls she wanted me to go on. The meeting with the doctor was shorter than 5 minutes and I was very nervous being alone for the first time at the gyno. She did not tell me what she was doing to me and did nothing to warn me on what would hurt. I was very nervous and scared and the doctor seemed like she was trying to make the appointment as quick as possible without explaining risks of any birth control. The doctor was not very friendly and it only made my nerves worse. I would advise not going to Dr. Edgeworth at all. Also, she put me on a birth control that was supposed to not effect my weight but made me gain 40 pounds in 4 months. I am now off of it and struggling to lose the weight even with diet changes and exercise. I now know this medicine has a reputation for making women gain a lot of weight and making it very hard to lose. I was surprised I was not warned of this. The doctor did not explain any possible side effects of any birth controls she wanted me to go on. Brought my wife today for a scheduled in advance month long appointment. After arriving, the receptionist told her that she had to pay the copay before she could be seen. As my wife started to pay, she noticed that she had no cash on her. She asked the receptionist if she could use a check.... We never use checks but she did happen to have a starter check... The receptionist refused as it was not imprinted with her name. Now this was not a well check or a normal visit but a needed visit to check on pain she was having. We then left but turned around within five minutes as my wife found her bank card. We went back, but the receptionist then told her it had already been canceled and would have to be rescheduled again... Another month of waiting for possible serious problem. Poor staff organization. Neglectful nurse- rude and rushing. Here you're just a paycheck, not a patient. Would not recommend. Never followed up or read my records. Worst specialist I've ever seen.
