Dr. Dione performed my inguinal hernia surgery in February 2023. I feet at ease through the entire process from initial consultation to post surgery (follow-up consultation). His entire staff was very professional and always available to answer any scheduling or cost questions (including insurance). As far as the procedure, he carefully explained everything in detail (including the post surgery process and requirements). I never felt like I was being rushed out of the office so he could move to the next patient. His bedside manner is perfect what you would expect from a caregiver. I would highly recommend him to anyone requiring hernia surgery.

Husband had hernia surgery. Dr. Cione explained every detail and the surgery went great. Dr. Cione has the best bedside manner. His expertise made us feel at ease. Good surgery experience with double inguinal hernia, but two weeks after surgery why did he put his hands up in me under my skin? After that exam my urine is not flowing as well; I was not complaining, so why such as rough exam? Warning don't let him touch you after surgery, unless there is a specific need for it is my opinion; hoping I get better urinary flow like before he was too rough with me.

Both my wife and myself have used Dr. Cione. Consults were quick but complete. The surgeries (one robotic, one not) were both painless and incisions both healed quickly and cleanly. Dr. Cione's bedside manner is efficient, but reassuring. His office maintains very good communication from consult to followup.

Choosing to see Dr. Cione for my gallbladder problem was the best decision I could have made. He and his surgical team did an outstanding job removing my gallbladder on Dec. 23, 2021, two days before Christmas. I was home the same day and able to celebrate Christmas with my family! My recovery has been amazingly easy and almost pain-free. Dr. Cione, his surgical team and staff are exceptionally caring and talented. I don't think this procedure could have gone any better.

Dr. Cione was provided as a referral from a doctor in my neighborhood and who operated on both his daughter and wife. Figured that was a decent first endorsement as a choice after two surgeries that were ultimately successful, but either didn't have great bedside manner (5 min consultation); challenging pre-op billing procedures that were a bit DIY; and my first two surgeries resulted in a little more pain than I expected. Also - I've had 3 consecutive years with new hernias; which left me a little suspect of the first two doctors - though that certainly could have been outside of their specific treatment and control. Though I will say - Dr. Cione was exceptional on all three of those areas: 1. Consultation - took as much time and answered all my questions 2. Billing/Pre-Op - Extremely organized and was ready to go with all costs outlined 3. Surgery and Recovery was the least painful of the three I had and this hernia was similar to the first one I experienced. Highly recommended.

Dr. Cione operated on me two times. Once for a lesion that was pre-cancerous, then when cancer was found by the pathologist, a second time to remove more. As a result I am now cancer free. My experience with Dr. Cione was great! He and his staff were very caring during and after the surgeries. He gave me all the facts as to what will happen if and then followed through. I recently had surgery for a hernia. Dr, Cione answered all my questions before the surgery. He explained the procedure, told me what I needed to do to prepare for surgery, went over in detail what was going to take place and explained everything so that my wife and I understood all that was going to happen. I had occasion for Dr. Cione's services 2x in 2020. First was my gallbladder removal and then 2 months later, hernia surgery. He kept telling me that my recovery would be painful (thought I had 3 but he ended up repairing 5!!) - I was skeptical as I'd done so well with previous surgeries. Well, let me just say, the Doctor is usually always right! :-) The hernia surgery wasn't the cake walk I'd hoped for - but I can't say I wasn't warned! Dr. Cione is obviously a busy physician, but he was kind and caring and I like when a Doctor seems to "get" my sense of humor. I was very impressed and appreciative that he asked if he could pray over and with me prior to each surgery. That act brought me a level of comfort - that he would pray for me and for a Higher Power to guide him as well! Dr. Cione removed an infected gall bladder. He spent 15 minutes, or so, before surgery explaining the procedure and what I should expect immediately after surgery and over the following 2 weeks. After just over 2 weeks I am well into my recovery and it went as well as the Dr. had predicted.

I had to have a section of my colon removed because it was very inflamed (diverticulitis). The surgery went well, post-op care was great, and the end result was a significant improvement in my daily lifestyle.

Dr. Dean Cione performed two surgeries on me recently, a biopsy and the installation of a port to facilitate my chemotherapy. I was referred to him by my primary physician who highly recommended him. Dr. Cione is not only a skilled surgeon, but has a great way of working with you to instill confidence and ease anxiety. Although I am sure he is extremely busy, you would not know it from his office demeanor. In initial consultations, and both pre- and post-op visits he seemed to have all the time in the world to check on me, answer any questions and let me know what to expect. Dr. Cione removed my gallbladder, that was in hindsight was very ill and rapidly degrading my health. His office quickly got my initial visit and subsequent surgery scheduled, and Dr. Cione explained both my condition, risks and recovery throughly both in the office and at preop. Dr. Cione was available when I experienced issues with pain control after the surgery, quickly resolving the issue over the phone on a weekend. He has a very professional surgery team that includes an excellent Anesthesiologist. I highly recommend Dr. Cione .
