I can't say enough good things about the great doctors and staff at Johns Hopkins! Really been taking great care of me.

Wonderful caring surgeon who listens to her patients’ concerns and delivers top notch care.

Dr. LaPorte is a top-notch hand surgeon, kind and patient person, and I recommend her highly with no reservations. She has taken extremely good care of me after a very serious injury.

Appointments has always been on time. Dr. LaPorte is very informative and explains everything in detail.

Dr Laporte has successfully taken me through 6 different hand/arm operations over 10 years. Her diagnoses hve always been accurate, the operations and follow-up as good as can be. I found her an outstanding surgeon and pleasant,caring person. On a ten point scale I would rate her a ten with distinction, an example of a great hand surgeon.

this office canceled my appointment and then lied about putting me on a cancelation list. I don't recommend this unprofessional individual.

Excellent Doctor and staff member

Had an appointment last week with this doctor she was very nice informant my visit was quick and fast the people that were nice yes I will recommend this place and this doctor

Dr LaPorte and her team were very professional. I believe they also tried to keep me as comfortable as possible. This also includes all nurses and support staff.

Johns Hopkins has always been my hospital of choice. Dr. Dawn Laporte just reinforced my decision. Dr. Dawn Laporte is an outstanding physician and surgeon...but more importantly she is a great listener and provides concise and thoughtful answers to all of my questions. It's always a great visit because I feel so special by her and her support team. Well done!

Dr. Laporte is a very good doctor, professional, courteous. I have been a patient of hers for a number of years and have been seen when something comes up that is serious for an evaluation. She explains things very well as to what can be done initially and follows up if necessary. I highly recommend her .

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Laporte’s for quite some time. She always takes the extra steps to ensure that the care you receive is adequate. She’s called after every surgery I’ve ever had. I couldn’t ask for a better Orthopedist. Love her!

My only suggestion is that a patient should be told more about to expect in terms of what recovery is like. I didn't realize that my thumb surgery was really wrist surgery and that all the time in splint and cast would so profoundly impact my entire hand, wrist. A rude awakening.

Dr. Dawn LaPorte provided exceptional care for my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. On the day of my surgery, she stopped by the pre-op area and carefully explained the procedure & post-surgery instructions and patiently responded to my questions. Her professionalism, warmth & reassurance were greatly appreciated. Dr. LaPorte is also very particular about post-surgery scar management. My physical therapist was fully aligned with her expectations and ensured that her goals for my recovery were met. I’m actually looking forward to the surgery on the other hand because I know I’m in good hands and am confident of a very positive outcome…

My experience with Dr. Laporte and the staff at both the Greenspring location and JHOC was excellent!! From check in to check out and in between was perfect!! I can't thank Dr. Laporte enough for all of the help and relief that she has given me over the last 20 months and counting!! I would and have highly recommended her to any and everybody that has had or have issues with their hands and wrists!! She is the BEST of the best and BETTER than the rest!! She has shown and provided me with nothing but exemplary service with each appt from our first appt to my surgery for DeQuervian release to post opp to every follow up appt I had last year. Dr. LaPorte is an excellent physician with a very caring and compassionate personality. She explains her plan of care and presents information that is easy to understand. She listens intently to any concern and gives prompt answers. She is always very patient, kind and respectful. She has been my orthopaedic doctor/hand surgeon for 15 years. She has performed 3 hand operations on me with excellent results. I was really impressed the day after each surgery she called to evaluate my condition. Over the years, I have driven 4 to 6 hours to receive her care. She is very committed to her profession. I would highly recommend her care!
