Dr. David Eugene Wood

We took our 4 year old to Dr. Woods office and everyone was kind and professional. Dr. Woods removed our sons adenoids a few weeks later and our son had barely any post op discomfort and was his happy self within 24 hours of surgery. Wonderful experience all around! Highly recommend!

Did not see the Doctor, saw the audiologist David, well at least my daughter did… My 16 y/o daughter can barely hear out of her left ear for over a month now, waited 3 weeks to get in with the pediatrician saying she had ruptured her ear drum and there was fluid built up behind the scarring of the healing ear drum and she’d most likely need a tube put in. David never spoke to me until the very end when I questioned everything he told me daughter while she was alone in the hearing room (I caught the tail end of the conversation when I realized he wasn’t going to have me come in to listen). He told her that her hearing was completely normal and there was no evidence of ever having a rupture…after 2 doctors and 2 pediatric residents said completely different. Her hearing in her left ear was just barely in the normal range as he showed me on the chart after I questioned the fluid behind the eardrum in which he repeated “this test shows no evidence of that”. My daughter said he glanced in her ears quickly before performing the test but that was all. After going home and getting ready to call the pediatrician extremely confused and frustrated that we got not answer or relief for her…I see her report says “reduced mobility of the tympanic membrane” which a simple Google search showed meant it was “due to fluid in the middle ear or a perforation”. He said “if you’re still concerned, follow up with the pediatrician because she can hear just fine according to my tests”. The tests…in a silent chamber with noise directly in the ear…but if you’re talking to her in a normal room at a normal tone she hears nothing. Pretty quickly solve the problem that no one else could even fix and give me any feedback on I really appreciate it I can’t see how much it changed my life and I hope that the people know that he takes care of people and he even helps the people that probably other people wouldn’t help which kind of could get you in trouble and I’m the same way but he’s inspired me to help who I can

Horrible experience with our 14 month old. Not only did we wait in the waiting room due to COVID for over 1.5 hours. Taking his temperature from his armpit when he was so done with sitting. Letting a person who showed up late go for his appointment before us. Then the nurse practitioner demanded I help hold my son down on a table to look at his ears instead of letting me hold him. He now is super shy to have his ears looked at! No one wants to hear their child scream bloody murder especially when he has never had issues like this before. No reason to manhandle a child... we don't even do it in veterinary medicine. Thank goodness we have a pediatric ENT at Children's North who is gentle and kind! Do NOT go to Dr. Woods office. He is very polite any questions or concerns you have he will answer them..

My GP Dr. sent me to Wood with a recurring sinus/ear infection that had been treated twice with antibiotics but returned in several months each time. Dr. Wood didn't seem to know what he was doing. He looked in my ear and final diagnoses was "live with it". Total waste of time and money. I went back to my GP for another round of antibiotics which are still working 4 months later. She will not be sending anyone to Wood again.

I just had a revision surgery from a deviated septum repair Dr. Woods performed nearly 13-14 years ago that left me with collapsed nasal valves and a perforated septum. Fingers crossed!

This doctor is horrible with children. He removed my daughter's tonsils last week. We've had nothing but troubles ever since. Call him about it. He says she's faking it for attention and needs a stern talking to. Well today she woke up choking and almost a pint of blood and clots came out. Had an emergency surgery to fix what he botched up to begin with. If anyone deserves a stern talking to its him. And I would love to be the one to give it to him. I would not let this man operate on my dog must less a child. We will be taking further actions against him once my daughter is finished healing. If there was a way to give negative stars on this review believe me he would have all 5. Please do not subject your child to this man. This doctor is horrible with children. Awesome Staff!!

I went here for a hearing test for my son and was beyond happy with the experience we had. We saw the audiologist and they were great with my son, especially for not being a specialty pediatric facility. I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone.

I waited for 6 weeks to get 2 appts for a SEVERE ear infection. Both appts ended up being with the P.A., who misdiagnosed by condition. I waited another couple of weeks to see Dr. Wood, During that time my ear drum perforated and I am experiencing severe pain and pressure and have lost all hearing in that ear. The 5 minutes Dr. Wood spent with me when I finally got to see him was for him to write a quick prescription without an explanation or apology. I am now going to go to a new doctor in Pgh.

The wait was long and he was super fast. However, he did a through job with my autistic son and my son tolerated him well.

Dr Wood diagnosed and has treated my meneires disease for over 10 years. He is compassionate and caring and dedicated to finding the most effective treatment plan.

I had a terrible experience with this office. I arrived early for my appointment and had to wait 20 minutes before I went to an exam room. The Dr. was in the room with me for less than 5 minutes total time. Then I had to wait another 20 minutes before I could check out with the office staff. The staff was rude and disorganized. I never even called for a follow up. I can't believe I pay for this type of service!
