I'd been suffering with sciatica since November 2022. No one could pinpoint why this episode was lasting so long. I was referred to Dr. W by a coworker, and I can't thank her enough. Dr. W was kind, understanding and really listened to my concerns. He conducted a complete physical examination and explained in great detail his findings. We devised a treatment plan that I'm convinced will have me feeling better soon. Highly recommend...

Dr. W is an excellent physician. He truly cares about his patients, is very knowledgeable and explains things so that you understand and feel involved in your own care. He is such an asset to CNSA. I highly recommend him.

This man saved my husband's life in 2004. I know that has been a long time ago but my husband loves this man. We have a picture of him and Russell from when Russell woke up from the coma he was amazing. I'm trying to hard to get Russell to be able to talk to him on the phone now that he is doing things they never said he would like walk and talk normal. Thank you. You are his hero! I can't thank you enough for him. Russell is my hero and you saved his life!

My experience with Dr. Wiercisiewski has been excellent. He listens carefully, considers alternatives and always seems deeply engaged in finding the source of the pain and erasing it. I strongly recommend him.

Dr. W was able to pinpoint exactly where my issue were located both in my back and in my knees, and set a plan of attack for treatment. Unlike others, he listened and did not assume anything due to weight or other health issues. I'm very hopeful and look forward to finding relief soon!

Great care

Dr. Wiercisiewski has been my Physian for over 10 years. He assisted me after a terrible car crash in 2009. After seeing many doctors who could not help, Dr. W, as we affectionately call him, saved my life! Not only is he a brilliant doctor, but he is a caring human being.

Dr. W. is an outstanding medical caregiver and an expert in spine treatment. I highly recommend him.

Dr. W has treated my husband for a TBI for more than ten years now. I appreciate his expert care, common sense approach, and down-to-earth manner. I couldn’t find a better doctor for my husband and his needs.

I have been a patient of Dr. W. For several years now and could not be more pleased with my care. He is professional, capable and very personable. He and his associates at Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine have truly helped me with my chronic back pain. I would recommend this practice for anyone with neuromuscular problems.

Dr. W. has been kind, courteous, and most of all knowledgeable. He has really helped me with my lower spine problems. He listens and does only necessary procedures. He's open to whatever helps his patients.

"Dr. W" is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. He takes the time to review my information, then discusses my test results and/or issues with me in depth. He answers all of my questions along the way (and I ask a lot)! With me, he has offered a range of solutions, usually starting with the least invasive, conservative treatment. I agree with this perspective. I never feel rushed, and I leave with a solid plan. I don't think I've ever waited more than a couple of minutes to be called back, either. Definitely never had time to finish a Wordle before they have me set up in a room. His nurses and admin are top-notch as well. Dr W, as everyone affectionately calls him, is one of my favorite doctors. Besides being extremely professional he obviously cares deeply about his patients. I had an accident over 50 years ago. I basically believe Dr. W. is the best doctor in Charlotte. So thorough, so so caring, doesn’t miss a thing, I trust him 100%. He’s your man if you are unsure about diagnoses and recommendations from other doctors.

He was very nice and informative. The procedure was painless and my sciatica is much better.

Dr. Wiercisiewski provided explanations for each step of the Epidural steroids injections well. At the table for patients having injections by another physician at another location the face was provided an oval shaped opening so your face was much more comfortable during the procedure than at Carolina Neurosurgery where the face only had a solid pillow.

Dr W, Julie, Melanie, and all of the Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine staff are amazing. I’ve had 50+ injections in the course of my lifetime and I can honestly say the 3 I’ve had with this practice and staff have yielded the best results and experiences. Thank you for keeping me mobile and relieving my pain. You are truly miracle workers!

Dr. W is very knowledgeable and explained details clearly. He is also very personable and easy to talk to. I was treated with dignity and respect. He offered me treatment options and worked with me to select the best choice. I feel that I’m in good hands.

Dr “W” stands between either 4th spinal surgery or significantly more low back and leg pain snd greatly reduced mobility and quality of life. He is a master injections into both sides of my low back. His injections are virtually painless. I would add a + to his 5 star raring if the survey allowed it. He is #1 in my book on injections.

I highly recommend Dr Wiercisiewski MD to anyone in pain or other problems. He is very nice and doesn't mind taking his time to let you understand what is going on . I brought a friend to him several years ago. Her hands were going numb. I assumed she had carpal tunnel syndrome. She actually had a brain tumor. He did an MRI. He then scheduled her for immediate surgery. The tumor she had was a very aggressive type and headed for her optic nerve. She recuperated and lived. I thank God for him. I had an injection in my back. He is so gentle I didn't need a nerve pill. I drove myself back to Gastonia afterwards. He is a brilliant man. I could not ask for a better group of Doctors, than I have experienced with Carolina Neuro Surgery and spine. Now my review is about Dr. David R. Wiercisielewski, affectionately known as Dr. "W". Maybe because it is shorter to say, or everyone's tongue does not roll in the manner of the polish language. But to say his whole name or shorten it, does not affect the fact that this man is not only a learned Dr. but a kind and gentle and caring man, who tries desperately to correct any and all problems you may have. He sits with you, listens to you and explains things thoroughly to you. When you leave his office, there are no questions left unanswered. During a procedure, he explains everything he is doing, before it is done, letting you feel comfortable and unafraid. I would like to express what a great doctor that Dr. David Wiercisiewski is to trust in addressing your healthcare neuro/spine concerns. He is professional, thorough, and personable in dealing with the patient. He is the best Dr. to go to for any back or neck injections that you may require for spinal concerns. I am 84 years old and he took time with me during my procedure to describe what he was doing and inform me of what to expect during each phase. Dr. Wiercisiewski, I have purposely held off writing this review until today to make sure my euphoria is not a fluke. So far it has been wonderful. I think you and your assistant got right to the exact spot needed this time. I went to church for the first time, not looking like an invalid, and I even did a little tap dance for some ladies and ended with a flourish. Thank you again, it took a while but we have the right spot and the pain that was there after the surgery is no longer with me. I feel like I'm going to be back to my normal self soon. I have been seeing him for 21 years. My accident was in 2000 when I was 17. He has always been supportive and I love seeing him every year.

Dr. Wiercisiewski is a very caring doctor. Took the time to explain the procedure and kept asking if I was doing ok. Hopefully my injection will help my back pain, if not I will definitely go back to him to try again!

The whole staff was wonderful. I received two spinal injections

Dr. Wiercisiewski is a highly skilled, caring, wonderful doctor, whom I would highly recommend to family and friends. One week ago I couldn't walk ten minutes without being in excruciating pain. After treatment by Dr. Wiercisiewski, this evening I was able to stroll well over a mile with no pain whatsoever. That I'm "grateful" is an understatement! Also, he doesn't mind being called Dr. W!

Dr. W is by far the BEST Neurosurgeon availabl. Dr. W has one of the best, if not the best best bed-side manner. He encourages you to do your best & is there you in ANY way he can. Dr. W has done SO MUCH for me (including waking me from a 91 day colma in 2005) & has been a friend the whole way.

Awful physician. Doesn't listen. Makes diagnosis based on intuition and not facts. Misses serious concerns, which should have been identified much sooner. If you have suffered a concussion and continue to have issues, seek consultation from a board certified neurologist and not a physiatrist, which is essentially a physical therapist with an MD. Have no idea why he is the head of a sports concussion program.
