I have been with Dr. West for 3 years now and I am very happy with his care. He is kind, listens intently and takes your concerns seriously. Dr. West will always take whatever time you need to discuss your issues in a manner that you can understand. His office is very efficient and I am always seen quickly. I highly recommend him.

Always takes as much time as necessary and never makes you feel like he needs to hurry.

I saw Dr West the meds he prescribed did not help while working out of town I called his office to see if he would call something else in and he refused to do anything. Requesting I come to the office. While I continued to suffer with an infection, since I was out of town. What happened to the good old country docs.

I love Dr. West. He never makes you feel rushed, he listens and I trust him.

I've recommended several friends to Dr West and will continue to do so. The first time I visited him at my initial consult, he listened to me talk for 45 minutes straight, no interruptions. That's pretty rare for many doctors, some of whom are prone to interrupting with their opinion before you're done with yours. He's a soft spoken doctor, and he's pretty good at getting me to not worry about certain things. I have him as my PCP now but I've occasionally come in for the office's morning clinic to meet with a physician assistant for emergency care and am happy that's a service available. Very helpful and nice to work with. I hope to continue to see him for a long time and see him as a model of what other doctors should act like. Dr. West has been my husband's and my primary care physician for some 20 years. He is up-to-date medically. Just as importantly, he willingly discusses any problems brought to him in a calm manner, explaining without talking down to his patients. We are very pleased to have found such an excellent doctor to treat us from early mid-life into of our later years.

I just met with Dr West as my PCP for the first time today because of his reputation - and was not disappointed. He was kind, listened to the things I told him, commented on things as needed, and overall was very reassuring. Plus he works with my specialists. I found him to be very easy to talk to and confide in, something I can't say about many doctors. He is very gentle and knowledgeable, and earned a lot of credibility in my mind just from one visit. His staff was lovely as well.

My husband and I are seniors. We have been with Dr. West for 19 1/2 years and would not want to ever change. He is thorough and a good diagnostician. He is friendly and takes time to answer questions. Can't say enough good things about him and his team at Chesapeake Internists, Inc. He calls us to tell of important test results. He is like family, very comfortable to be with and talk to.. We feel confident in his medical care.

Dr. West has provided outstanding medical advice and treatment for both my wife and I since the early 1990s. Would recommend highly.

This physicians' group has recently hired a patient coordinator who is rude to Dr. West's patients. She will tell them they had their turn at asking questions, that he, Dr. West is now seeing other patients and that she cannot ask him another question, about today's visit. My aunt -a patient of Dr. West-20 yrs has a serious heart problem. She told by this employee, Samantha- that Dr. West would call her if he saw anything pertinent in her chart, to discuss. I doubt he said this.
