David Carl Waters

Dr. Waters did my spine surgery Sept 2021 and now I can finally walk without being in excruciating pain. Best neurosurgeon ever. Great bed side manner and very down to earth. He doesn’t jump right into surgery until all other options are tried. I can’t say enough about this amazing MD.

Dr. Waters is the best. He will not operate unless surgery is a last resort. He's been my doctor for years.

Dr. Waters has done several surgeries on my back which keeps degenerating. I adore him. He is brilliant, patient, kind, and answers all questions. He shows you what he plans to do in surgery with a model and explains every detail. He is never in a hurry and will laugh with you. His bedside manners in the hospital are comforting and informative, always wanting you to comprehend what he did in surgery. Dr. Waters is calm and soft-spoken, unlike many doctors who think you are lucky just to see them. I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone needing surgery. His staff is efficient and will also answer any questions.

I was referred to Dr Waters after an MRI showed a severe herniated disc in my lower back. After years of watching my Dad suffer with severe back issues and numerous back surgeries I was terrified when I got this news. From the moment I spoke to the receptionist I knew I was in the right place. From the receptionist to the nurses it’s an amazing office. Dr Waters is companionate, explains things well and discusses options with you. He is incredibly kind and very positive. I’ve had visits in the office but we’ve also checked in through web visits (due to me living in another state which has been great) If the time comes that he feels surgery is our next step being we’ve tried all other alternatives…I’ll be ready. I am so thankful I was referred to him, I only wish he could’ve been my Dads doctor because I think things would’ve gone much differently under his care. Thank you! I Love they way he makes you feel, No rushing and answers all of your questions. He is Wonderful

He is the best I had a brain tumor and he and Dr Prass removed it and I am here today with no complications. First Dr I have ever sent a thank you card to and I am so thankful.

Dr. Waters is always patient and kind. My planned surgery was a 2 day complicated case. I went into surgery feeling completely comfortable that I was in good hands. I have never regretted making such a big decision. For 3 years now, I have returned to enjoying a relatively pain fee life. I would without a doubt recommend Dr. Waters.

I almost died because of him. I have hydrocephalus, something Dr. Waters should not ever be approached to about. I had a shunt failure and horrible headaches, severe pain in my neck and back so I went to the emergency room and he told me years before I will never have to worry about symptoms caused by hydrocephalus. He either did not see the problem in my CT scan or he completely ignored it so he released me. I had a seizure less than 12 hours after I was released and had to be brought to another hospital and had to see another neurosurgeon. The hospital I was brought to called him for 4 days and he never answered or showed up. He did not bother to check up on me after my revision. Just forgot about me! I have a friend who also has hydrocephalus and she had problems all the time since meeting him. Untreated hydrocephalus is fatal and any neurosurgeon with a few years of experience should know that. If you have hydrocephalus or a VP shunt, DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR!!!!!!!

Excellent surgeon with excellent bedside.

Best doctor ever. He did 2 back surgeries for me so far and I wish he could be my primary doctor. You will never find a doctor this good and compassionate.

Had back surgery in July. Dr Waters is kind, considerate, compassionate and thoughtful. He is very attentive to his patients. Excellent bedside manners. I have been seeing Dr Waters for several years. I have scoliosis and have had a lot of pain because of spine issues. 2 years ago after trying none surgical Options I had a lumbar fusion, best thing I could have done ????Feeling so much better. 3 weeks ago now I had a cervical fusion of 2 levels, also doing well after this one and feeling better every day. I could never imagine seeing someone else , I am greateful for everything, and looking forward to the future. I have been seeing Dr Waters for several years. For three/four years I suffered from Sciatica, Spinal Stenosis, and a dislocated disc. On Jan. 18, 2017 I had surgery by David Waters and I am here to tell you, one year later, that I feel wonderful. He is blessed with the ability to correct problems like mine and I cannot recommend him enough.

Sought a second opinion. Very rude and abrupt dr. Maybe he was tired, but we came away feeling terrible about our visit. Took us months to respond to a review.

I have been seeing Dr Waters for the past 3 years. I have been living with back pain from Scoliosis for several years. Dr Waters gave me every chance with less aggressive treatment before major Multi level lumbar fusion surgery . From the first day post op my pain was manageable , now 2 months out I'm doing great with no pain. I would recommend neurosurgical specialist to anyone having back pain , they are the best.

Dr. Waters was referred to me by a friend and I have appreciated his precision in his diagnosis and help in determining the right course of treatment. In my Father's case it was to not proceed with surgery, even though I had another doctor ready to do surgery ASAP. He is a no nonsense, get to the point gentleman. I would reccomend him to anyone looking for a surgeon.
