staff were nice.. friendly.. Dr Walker is a no nonsense doctor.. he is direct and is not a time waister.. knows his "stuff".. I am so blessed to have him as one of my doctors..

Although the wait was nearly six months to get to a Neurologist, when I finally got that appointment and a detailed consult, I was immediately referred to Dr.David H. Walker for further testing and consultation. I found Dr. Walker to be throrough, straight forward, and intelligent in his approach to my situation. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing consultation/treatment by a Neurosurgery specialist.

Dr. Walker did an amazing job with my surgery. I had a C4 through C7 disc replacement and fusion done. He was very professional and very good at his job. I highly recommend Dr. Walker and his office staff. Having spine surgery is a scary thought, it is hard to trust someone to work on that part of your body. I feel very blessed that Dr. Walker is my surgeon. If anyone is in need of spine surgery go see Dr. Walker, best surgeon in this valley. Nick

Doctor and staff friendly and courteous. I had to fill out the same paperwork that I had already filled out on my chart. My appointment time was 10:00am, I wasn’t seen until 10:40am. Doctor apologized for the wait.

Jose Parker Assistant to David Walker and David Walker The first time l came into their office. Everything was explained very specifically&clearly. All imaging needed & explained. Very thorough. Also the pre-surgery and care were great. I was informed of every detail. After surgery went fine. You do need to follow their safeguards during your recovery to heal well during your complete recovery..3 months for successful healing. I am doing real well. It is my third month. Healed well. No pain.

The staff is very attentive and friendly. Dr Walker is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I just wish he could’ve understood sooner that it wasn’t my shoulder and that I knew it was my neck with the issue. That type of intense nerve pain is horrible and waiting so long really affected my left arm.

Thorough. Reviewed tests. Conducted exam.

I am very pleased with this doctors work everything came out well no more issues neck feels good would recommend to anyone needing this type of surgery

Dr. Walker was a miracle worker for me. I had severe spinal stenosis from cysts on my spinal cord. I had severe aching and pain down my right leg. As soon as my eyes opened after the surgery, I was pain free. I’m sure it was because he was so careful. He was also very kind and carefully explained how he was going to care for me. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Walkers office needs its own review, it’s horrible dealing with them , on to Dr Walker , He's rushes you , he doesn’t listen and he lied on my husbands chart ,I could go into full detail but What’s the point ! Amazing doctor

Dr. Walker knew exactly what would fix my pain! I was in agony and he got me in for surgery just 8 days after my first appointment with him. I cannot thank him enough! Six weeks post Microdiscectomy and I feel fantastic!

You may have to wait a while to get in but between Dr. Walker & Jose Parker, you will get the very best care you could find anywhere. I trust them both 110% They both explain exactly what is going on, what the plan is and answer any questions you have. Love em both.

Dr. Walker did an exceptional surgery on my spine. It was a surgery that I had been dreading, but he gave me the peace of mind to go ahead with it and it ended up very successful for me. Thank you Doc, and everybody at SONSA for taking such good care of me.

Dr Taylor went above and beyond to repair my back by spinal fusion.

Very caring group of professionals. My husband and I were treated well by Dr. Walker and each SONSA staff member.

Was referred to Dr Walker. When I got there, he "had no idea why I was referred" to him (his words not mine). He showed me a photocopy of my Xray/c-scan and never really went over what the reading were. A wasted trip and money....

He is very straightforward , which I like. Knowledgeable and professional. Kind and compassionate.

Met w/Dr. Walker for post op review of my back surgery. He answered all my questions and cleared me with no restrictions. The surgery and post op review were positive experiences. Thank you Dr. Walker

Dr. Walker was thorough and candid during our appointments. I was caught off guard when he described the urgency of my situation. I read through his notes of our visit on MyChart and it got me to change my mind. I was trying to wait because I knew I’d be in for a lengthy recovery. I saw Dr. Walker on a Friday morning, by Wednesday I was in surgery. My family and I are grateful for the care and skills Dr. Walker provided. The staff at SONSA are very detail oriented and work hard at providing answers as quickly as possible. I appreciate their help and commitment to patient support. I had another surgeon for my first opinion, but their staff did not communicate with me or each other. I knew by the prompt responses that SONSA was going to be my choice. If the communication is that bad beforehand, I could only assume that would be the same after my procedure. Thank you Dr. Walker and PA-C Jose Parker! You and your support staff are amazing.

Absolutely incredible care ! Never have I been taken such great care of and actually listened to ..most doctors and hospitals don't care they jus there for easy quick money and treat people like cattle at the slaughter house ! NOT WITH DR WALKER AND ALL THE GREAT PEOPLE AT SOUTHERN OREGON MEDICAL I AND FAMILY ARE SO THANKFUL THERES STILL MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS WHO REMEMBER WHY THEY WENT INTO THIS PROFESSION ..TO HELP PEOPLE ! This was a first visit. Dr. Walker reviewed my MRI and then examined me. He determined that he could not provide a firm diagnosis based on the MRI presented because the MRI was performed with me on my back. He ordered further x-rays with me in a standing position. I am to report back after the x-rays have been taken.

Dr. Walker is noted in his field of neurosurgery. He explained surgery he picked for me that was easily understandable using visual aid. Also asked if any questions and gave me written information. I appreciate his expertise.

Dr. Walker is very efficient and knowledgeable. He determined exactly what type of surgery I needed but did give me two options. I chose the more extensive of the two surgeries which is a more difficult recovery. He explained everything to me in detail so I knew what to expect. His surgery team was excellent and very friendly, they talked me through every step of the way. I noticed a hug difference in my pain levels after the 2nd day of surgery and I continue to feel better every day. I am so glad I chose Dr. Walker and his team to do this surgery. My first tele-medicine video appointment was excellent and Dr. Walker provided a thorough review of my situation, both at high level and technical detail levels. He was pleasant to engage with and I'm very happy to have him as my neurosurgeon.

We only did a video chat, which was my first, but Dr. Walker had Alot of patience with me. He was pretty thorough in his questions, which I appreciated. His staff were nice and got me in very quick.

Dr Walker and Jose Parker are the dream team. I was a patient for over 12 years and unfortunately due to a medical condition had 8 spinal surgeries. My last surgery was a fusion on my low back in 2017. I have since moved to South Carolina and have seen 3 different specialists. I wouldnt let them touch me with a ten foot pole, heaven forbid a scalpel! If it were at all possible I would fly across the country to see Dr Walker, unfortunately it's not. Dr. Walker has taken care of my spine for over 10 years. My spine condition is degenerative and has caused me to seek his expertise 5 times and each time I was treated with respect and caring. My virtual and in-person appointments with Dr. Walker were thorough and excellent. He really listened and slowed down to explain diagnosis in ways I could understand. I was pleased meeting Dr Walker to address my medical concerns. He was very pleasant, and professional listening to my questions with direct answers. He gave me another avenue to address what I had going on.

I was very happy with my visit to Dr. Walker. His staff was expedient, pleasant and helpful and the doctor himself was wonderful. He was very patient, listening to everything I had to say and making sure that all my questions were answered and understood. I highly recommend their office.

I had Spinal fusion 1 year ago and have had a complete and full recovery. Could not play golf for the previous 6 years and now my handicap is a 5. For you non golfers this is amazing......... All back and leg pain is gone after decades of issues. Great job to Dr. Walker and team..........

Excellent doctor, excellent staff. I had a great experience with my surgery and recovery.

I had been suffering from hip and leg pain for a very long time and had tried many different ways to get relief, accupucture, chiropractic care, physical therapy and prednisone injections getting only minimal relief. When I went to Dr. Walker he was able to determine the cause of the pain (spine issues) and gave me a very thorough explanation of what spine surgery would involve. There was no pressure to have the surgery and the timing was left to me. I am now 3 months post-op the pain is gone

I can't believe Dr. Walker has anything but a 4 or 5 rating. His personality might not be super cuddly but his skill is the best there is. He saved my life from staph in my spine growing into the brain. He said I oozed more pus than any patient he ever had. After that I still needed fusion. He did a 5 level ACDF. I never had any pain. My strength in my hand is coming back. The numbness in my forearms and hands are going away (slowly as is normal).

Dr. Walker did a great job with my neck. After an auto accident I had 4 pinched bi-lateral nerves at C-3 and C-4. Dr Walker removed areas of bone around these nerves, which in turn relieved the pain in the neck as well as the pain that was shooting down my arms. The procedure went very well. Compared to the way my neck was before the surgery, it was a complete success. Before I couldn't turn my head left or right, up or down. Today (6 years later) things are near normal.
