Dr. David Nathaniel Trujillo

Moved into the area and had a cleaning and new patient appointment for my wife and I after being reccomended by family. It cost myself 90 dollars AFTER insurance (Delta Dental) and about 250 for my wife, who was self pay at the time. The "cleanings" consisted of just poking around and looking at teeth, no scaling at all, which is good because the person poking around was an ASSISTANT, NOT a licensed hygienist or a Doctor who are the only people who can do a cleaning legally. All this to say, my wife and I were still charged for a "cleaning," and at a rate I would call overcharging, especially considering the antiquated and subpar x-ray we each had done which didn't allow them to find a root canal that I needed to have redone. I spoke of having discomfort in that tooth that day but it was written off and not looked into more closely. 2 months later I was seen by a different dentist office and was immediately referred to a root canal specialist in Pueblo (best results ever, pain is completely gone and I even feel better). I would say they have very friendly staff and as people I like them very much, but I don't need a friend, I need good dental care and equipment that can show issues before they become bigger. I can see many long term patients having issues that will go unresolved and cause bigger issues down the road. My apologies for such a long review, but I have seen family that used this office long term get their dental care too far gone and end up with so much work needed that their care plan ends up with all their teeth needing replaced with implants or dentures in their early 50s and that is not what anybody wants.

I needed to have a wisdom tooth removed and needed it done soon- they were able to work me in quickly due to the urgency. The office staff are all super friendly, from the moment I called to the day of and while checking out. There was basically no wait. The dentist was professional, and friendly. Took time to chat and explain the issue and what the resolution would be (extraction) I was nervous but between Dr Trujillo and the hygienist they were fantastic and helped calm my nerves. Thank you for making this a positive experience!

Best and most caring dentist I've ever been too. Got me in the same day for an emergency extraction. Everyone is very friendly. I'll be back for all my dental needs.

I went to the E.R. for my oral pain, because due to COVID19 all dentists were closed. I was able to call Dr. Trujillo on his emergency number. I told him that i have a cracked tooth (verified by another dentist) and the pain was making my jaw and temple hurt VERY BADLY.... He proceeded to tell me that i needed to see a CHIROPRACTOR instead of seeing him... NOT GOOD ADVICE!!! I will never see him again. I did go one time prior to this oral pain, he had to file my jaw bone down. My kidneys are failing and he wouldn't proscribe pain medication and told me to take Tylenol AND ibuprofen AT THE SAME TIME and he said 'its the same as taking percocet.' What?!! Doc Trujillo is an awesome dentist, and his facility is top-notch!

I think my last visit was around 1983. LOL. Truly. Don't know if you remember Dr Trujillo, but you bonded my two front teeth together. I had quite a gap. They still look perfect and you said it would last a few years. Great to see you are still doing Quality work. Awesome dentist. I moved out of state or would still have you for my dentist. I was a patient at this office for almost 6 years. Through the years I've gotten my wisdom teeth pulled, chipped teeth fixed, and multiple cleanings/xrays done here. Dr. Trujillo is an amazing dentist. Makes you feel comfortable and does outstanding work. When I first started receiving care here the front desk receptionist, i believe named Mary was phenomenal. Since change of front desk staff I've had the most unpleasant experiences with this office. My first encounter with her she called the confirm a previous set routine cleaning appointment I had made 6months prior. I explained to her I needed to cancle due to changes of employment and insurance change. She assured me that the office was in net work with united dental even if i didn't see it on my online UHC profile. So I took her word and go in for my cleaning. I literally had to remind her she needed to take a copy of my new insurnace card. She was very distraught talking with her co workers about what happened to her family dog that weekend prior. Finally I'm out the door. Surprise i get a bill, a few months down the road. The office was in network with united but not my plan, just as i suspected. When i called and explained my situation she tells me " it is a courtesy that the office even bills the insurance companies for u, and you should have looked into my plan better." Long story short i even up paying out of pocket fully for a routine tooth cleaning which is generally all covered in most plans. By the this time I have yet another new insurance plan for 2019. I schedule my appointment on Dec 13th 2018. I am scheduled for the first open appointment on a Thursday in 2019 when my new benefits are active. I get an appointment 1/10/19. I didn't receive a reminder call so i call in this morning, surprise I'm not even on the schedule. Staff is very nice and knowledgeable.

Best dentist I've ever been to and the only one I will ever trust.

They take forever and don't keep their appointments.but the door good wok.
