He is a highly skilled excellent surgeon. His skills are impeccable and the results were a blessing! I would recommend Dr. David Sternberg for anyone requiring top-quality thoracic surgery expertise.

Did not notify my wife of a tumor in her lung for over a year. His bedside manner is horrible and he seems to be running away from different hospitals, i.e. St. Joseph and Beaumont. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM. A COMPLAINT IS BEING FILED WITH THE BOARD OF LICENSING

I do not recommend this man. Simply said, he treated my mother for Stage 3( became Stage 4, quickly) lung cancer in August of 2018. She passed away on Nov. 1, 2019. He visited her in hospice care, but called her by the wrong name, and didn't seem to care that he offended her. Today, his office sent my mother a letter, asking if she would like her medical records transferred to his new practice!!! He is a terrible doctor and his bedside manner is beyond horrible. Dr. Sternberg Did surgery on my mother in March 2018. She was in the hospital for 15 days, 14 of those days were in intensive care. Dr. Sternberg spoke to us after her surgery and 1 other time during her stay at the hospital. Do not recommend Dr.Sternberg for anything, his bed side manner is horrible. Asked staff to let us know in advance of mother leaving hospital so family could visit rehabilitation centers for her. My dad was called on a Thursday night at 6pm to get a rehabilitation center set up as my mother was being released the next day Friday at noon by ambulance. In less than 24 hours my mother was diagnosed with C-Diff, dehydration and high white cell infection. Spent another 5 days in another hospital. Also a feeding tube was left in place during the 15 days and had to have feeding tube surgery put in stomach at other hospital. My wife has had a terrible experience with this condescending "Dr". We have also sent him two requests for medical records which he has ignored. DONT RECOMMEND

I do not recommend this doctor. He was rude, uncaring, unprofessional and yelled at me in the hall as he escorted me out because I didn't choose surgery. I thought we were going back to the room. He did not read the CT Scan to me, the reason I was there, he just sat there and had me stand. I have seen and worked with many doctors, but never in all my years experienced such low character in a doctor.

Promised cancer results in 48 hours. 5 days later after leaving 2 messages was given an appointment for 9 days later.

I started my review but unfortunately I’m not allowed enough space to state my actual review of Dr Sternberg. He came highly recommended in his field , has done thousands of these surgeries so this was a no brained I thought. I will just say as long as you don’t care how you’re treated, dealt with, , and the fact that he has absolutely NO people skills, your choice. Unfortunately I’d much rather feel like a patient he cares about than just another thing in line to cut cancer out. Horrible exper

Unfortunately office staff is your gateway to the office and your first experience. My dad's appointment was "moved up" from 12/3 to 11/30 only upon arrival, after a 1 hour drive he wasn't there. When speaking with Michelle in scheduling my mom gave her solid advice, "confirm dates and times" she RUDLY said, "Thanks for telling me how to do my job, have a nice day"!

Best doctor I have ever had. Hands down.
