Dr. Springer has been my ophthalmologist for 30 years. In my experience he is thorough, efficient, always open to questions, and very personable. I actually look forward to my checkups just to chat with him. He and Dr. Levin were very helpful in seeing me through detached vitreous and a pseudo-hole in my retina. I hope they never retire!

Recommended by a physician friend of mine Definitely don't make an appointment before the holidays. Had an early appointment 9:30 maybe he was having a bad day but I came in to r/o retinal detachment waited 2 months for an appointment Finally got to see him 2 1/2 hours later after refraction which I didn't need and sitting in the room for 1/2 hour spent 5 minutes doing an exam and calling out codes to his scribe. Asked a question why I was having streaks in my vision, hand on the door don't know call if it gets worse!! Definitely l not be going back. Got tests for tear analysis even though I did not complain of dry eyes, claimed they gave me a pamphlet in the medical records which they didn't, had to make a special trip to pick up which took the receptionist 15 minutes to find after she got off her cell phone

To clarify I did not see Dr. Springer. Had an appointment with Dr. Levin. I have been going to this office for over 15 years and this will be the last time. The front office staff is the worst I have ever dealt with. They are rude, arrogant and definitely incompetent. Was told I have a balance of$65 and Dr Levin said he will not see me unless paid in full, I guess he is the offices enforcer. They could not tell me what the balance was for unable to find it??? Problem is the billing department has no clue of what they are doing. So the Dr.would not see me. I have spent thousands of dollars with them over the years. If you figure out the $65 let me know.

I had two cataract removal surgeries in Oct and Nov. This doctor is the best. I had zero problems with surgery and follow up. I highly recommend him because he knows what he is doing and has a great bed side manner with patients.

Don't expect to be seen in a timely manner. Exam time took over 2 hours of waiting for 30 minutes of staff interaction. 10 minutes with the sctual doctor.

Been here almost 2 hours. Yet to see the doctor. I had to cancel a subsequent appointment. Also had to schedule nearly 2 months in advance.

An excellent , caring and passionate human being. He loves what he does and really are attentive to his patients' concerns. All his staff are very good too and dedicated, very professional. Dr. Springer is a very caring, super smart Ophthalmologist. He listens to my concerns and orders the appropriate tests to ensure my ocular health. I really appreciate him as my Doctor.

This is Mr Nester Kohut, of Harvey IL. My phone is not operative so I cannot call. I CANNOT MAKE MY APPOINTMENT TOMORROW, NOV. 20/19, at 10:15 AM and will need to reschedule. I am extremely dissapointed by the billing department of West Suburban Eye Associates. They do not know how to file the claims on time with the insurance companies. Dr Springer is a great doctor, but unfortunately due to his billing department he just lost 3 patients. He has taken excellent care of my blue eyes. I have had a number of surgeries and he’s done a great job.

Excellent care and thorough. I even referred a friend who thanked me for the referral!

I had 9:30 appointment with Dr Springer on 3/1/2018, I had seen the nurse assistant at 10:32 at 11:45am I still have not seen the Dr, I've been here over two hours for an eye exam, this is the worse place to come for a eye exam

I was referred to Dr. Springer by my optometrist for a cataract consultation. My experience during the visit was wonderful, the staff was helpful, and Dr. Springer is amazing ! He told me I needed to have cataract removal surgery on both eyes. He explained the procedure to me, answered all my questions fully at the first appointment. When it came to the day of surgery, I couldn't ask for a better doctor. He put me at ease before the surgery began, and all went smoothly. Thank you Dr. Springer

He is very thorough and caring. I have been his patient for more than 15 years and wouldn't think of another opthaologist. Many years ago I worked for a large company who sold ophthalmic equipment (in fact my boss brought contact lens into the U.S.) plus we had a large office in downtown Chicago and cared for many patients. Dr. Springer is the greatest and with my background no one compares to dr. Springer.

He ruined mother's eye. She had to have corrective surgery to his mistake! The correction surgeon said Springer's work was the the worst He's seen.

You only get one chance when you're dealing with a surgery. Dr. Springer was thorough,knowledgeable, and his bedside manner leaves me as a patient confident in his extraordinary skills. He relies upon the expertise of a scalpel rather than a laser. I knew exactly in detail what would be happening from the start and after my recovery.
