Dr. David J Smith

This review is not based on Dr. Smith. I never got a chance to have an appointment with him. Thanks to his office staff, it never got that far. Also of note, I have worked in the medical field for 22 years, so I understand how the process works. I cannot not deal with an office staff that is this incompetent.

I absolutely love Dr. Smith and his staff in the El Centro office. I travel an hour for each appointment. THANKFUL I can go in for an appointment and have been able to ask any questions, voice concerns, and discuss openly my treatment plan as to what is/isn't working for me. Not everyone is the same, not every pain med works, not all treatments work... You have to be able to discuss this with the staff and find the perfect solution for yourself.

Dr Smith & his office staff share only 1 concern; stack, rack, and pack them in! It’s all about quantity and not quality. Expect to be seen at the minimum 1 1/2 hours past your scheduled appointment time; 2 to 3 hours is standard. The nurses are a coin toss; some are fantastic & some have obviously consumed his cool-aid. The office & reception staff make the DMV look like the most efficient and well oiled government entity in existence. They would be better suited as prison guards. SUCKS!

PLEASE AVOID THIS DR.! I am a healthcare practitioner who agrees the staff is horribly RUDE, and INEPT. Dr. David Smith allows this to continue, has NO COMPASSION for his patients and exhibits the same behavior. ABRUPT, LACK OF PUNCTUALITY (schedule as many patients as possible, ie: GREED), INAPPROPRIATE BEDSIDE MANNER (telling off-color jokes or relating intimate stories), the worst--"FORGETTING" PAIN MEDS after painful procedures, NO VERBAL follow-up or aftercare instructions given.

Dr smith and Drs are great. Rest if the house needs help. A real manager to get that front office professional. He needs a real fire cracker to get everyone in line. No reason you call all day and can't get through. every doctor's office I've been to in 40 years answers the phone on the second ring treats you kindly when you get there and schedules you as quickly as possible. Not to mention a three-hour wait in the waiting room at times. Besides that the doctors in the back house are great. Dr.

5 star for the doctors and nurse they are terrific but the front office & customer service is terrible. The women working administrative should be ashamed of themselves. They put you on hold & dont even tell you why, then all of a sudden you'll be on the line with someone different who has an even worse attitude. The office manager Gabby is extremely offensive, rude, completely inappropriate, and has absolutely has no compassion what so ever. She is ridiculously ignorant in customer service

Trying to reach anyone is a joke. You either get put on hold indefinitely, transferred to a mailbox that is full or they take down a message but you never get a call back. Their front desk staff is AWFUL.

Absolutely the worst experience of any doctors office in my life. & I too am a physician. 3 hour waiting in the waiting room with no response from the front desk. Very rude and disrespectful staff. No running water in the bathroom. Highly unprofessional and hygienic. Stay away.
