Dr. Saperstein took ample time to perform a comprehensive evaluation and carefully addressed my questions and concerns. I was absolutely impressed by his expertise and keen eye for detail! For context, I have a rare and debilitating neurological condition that is treatable. I’ve seen various doctors over several years and have not been able to get a clear diagnosis anywhere. Dr. Saperstein’s diagnosis and treatment plan has finally given me hope and may very well change the course of my life. Overall, I feel very reassured and satisfied.

I was very disappointed. No one answers the phone other than a call service that is absolutely useless in relaying timely messages. The app they use for communication is not user friendly and worst of all I requested medical records and I’m still waiting. My request was ignored. I was hoping that when the doctor stopped accepting insurance he would be willing to explore more experimental and cutting edge treatment modalities. I was hoping that the approach would be what are you willing to try instead of being told there are no answers. I was very disappointed. I hoped for an out of the box thinker but I discovered no such doctor. I was strung along for almost a year trying to get an appointment and then not getting any useful direction. The patient portal is not user friendly. Staff are unavailable and do not respond to the call service messages. The doctor’s bedside manner was cold and I felt that he did not care. He would not try any new possible exciting treatments that are in experimental stages. He literally gave me 10 referrals many of which were a waste of time. I am much happier with a different neurologist I fly to see out of state. She in contrast as caring bestows hope and has a list of things we can try including meds, plasma cleaning, etc.

I have been seeing Dr. Saperstein for a few months now and I cannot express how much I value him. For the first time in my 31 years of life, I do not feel like I am being looked at like I am crazy. He hears my concerns and genuinely listens and helps.

The doctor himself was polite and attentive. That was the good part. The bad part is that after waiting nearly 8 months for my first appointment and filling out 20+ forms for them, the doctor ordered tests. When I completed the tests, I received an email saying that they were no longer going to accept insurance and I would have to pay cash …I hadn’t even got the results of the tests that they ordered. Short version- I wasted almost a year to get Nothing but aggravation from this office. You cannot talk with anyone at the office- everything is communicated through their electronic media - and that was mostly used for long winded instructions including saying that you should plan an hour and a half for appointment because they sometimes run late. Overall Not a Satisfying experience. I got zero answers and unless I wanted to fork out $150 an hour, I would not be getting any answers. Frustrating!! The doctor himself was polite and attentive. That was the good part. The bad part is that after waiting nearly 8 months for my first appointment and filling out 20+ forms for them, the doctor ordered tests. When I completed the tests, I … More

This clinic has fallen flat on its original goal to help hEDS patients. Diagnostic process is rife with errors and dropped balls for referrals. Showing up for appointments is like pulling teeth to get them to address anything. Get a PCP and find a cardiologist that treats Dysautonomia instead. This clinic is notorious for walking patients down into permanent disability instead of helping us stabilize and stay active and functioning. The Dr takes a significant amount of funding from pharma companies, so you can be assured patient’s best interest is not in mind. Med refills are very spotty, usually have to leave messages to remind, and they pretend that’s their first time hearing it. Disability paperwork is a joke, since they copy paste other patients’ symptoms on forms and charge each time. It’s obvious when it’s just a business for a provider.

I saw Dr. Saperstein and was very pleased with the experience. I researched and found that he was knowledgable about EDS and I honestly had low hopes because I've seen other doctors about my symptoms and they did not know what was happening. The paperwork I was told to complete was extremely thorough and comprehensive; I was very pleased that all of this info would be looked over prior to my appointment to save time. At the appointment, Dr. Saperstein examined me and listened to my concerns, then confirmed the diagnosis that had been assumed of me. I think my case was quick, so the appointment was pretty quick. He gave me ample times to ask questions and I'm sure he would have talked longer if necessary. I had a great experience!

Dr. Saperstein and his staff were such a blessing not only to me, but my children too! He was above and beyond what I had hoped for in a specialist!! He took the time to answer/explain all of our concerns, time wasn’t even an issue. We never felt rushed or blown off, I felt HEARD! He listened!! I recommend him to everyone! We had to drive 12 hours to get to his office. Truth be told, I would have driven double that just to be seen by him and his staff. They are wonderful, polite, caring, and genuinely want to help! If you are looking for a specialist and aren’t sure who to go with, Dr. Saperstein’s office is the right choice!! I am forever grateful for him! Very Respectfully, Brandy Pletcher and Family! Dr. Saperstein is hands down one of the most knowledgeable and caring Neurologists in Phoenix. I would send my mother or my best friend to him if they needed to be seen by an excellent, personable and experienced Neurologist.

Do not use Dr. Saperstein! We were referred to him by another doctor--who had heard good things of Saperstein, yet had not met him personally--and the entire experience was horrible. Starting with his office staff, the level of ineptitude is unsurpassed. He is not a good doctor, he is not thorough, he is rushed, and it is obvious that he is in the profession solely to make money. I can't advise enough to find another provider as to use him. He and his entire staff should be ashamed to call themselves specialists in their field.

Dr Saperstein has been beyond wonderful. On the first visit he patiently listened, took lots of notes and was immediately able to diagnose me with hEDS and autonomic dysfunction. Upon further visits he was able to diagnose and start treatment for MCAS and SFN. Over the previous 7 years I had literally been to over 10 doctors and neurologists prior to seeing Doctor S. No other doctor took the time to listen and ask me the important questions. For them it was about how quick they could get me in and out, run the most common tests and either misdiagnose or tell me that they didn't know what was wrong with me. Dr S will look and then test for the rare illnesses. I had literally spent years knowing that something in my body was not right while numerous doctors, family and friends doubted me. I even began to doubt myself. To finally have a test result validate that indeed I did have something rare was priceless. No matter what the future holds for my illness, to have the emotional baggage o

Due to the risks of Covid 19, Dr. Saperstein had to use telemed to meet with me. As a new patient, I was concerned that there wouldn't be enough information for any kind of diagnosis, especially after being told for years by doctors that my pain was all in my head. He asked questions, listened to my responses carefully, and did as much of an examination as possible over telemed. He spent over an hour carefully listening, and at the end, he was able to provide me with provisional diagnoses. He requested multiple tests, all in hopes to help understand and confirm these diagnoses. He explained very clearly about everything he had diagnosed me with, and did a wonderful job answering any questions I had about the conditions. I think what really made me appreciate him as an outstanding medical professional is at the end of the appointment I thanked him and mentioned I didn't feel "crazy" anymore, and he assured me that all of my experiences are valid. That meant a lot as a patient.

Dr. Saperstein was able to diagnose me with Vascular EDS (VEDS) within a month of my first visit. I was hospitalized twice within the last five years, and almost died due to major complications. I have been living with a lot of pain and feared that I would die or be hospitalized due to the unknown condition. I saw multiple types of doctors since my first hospitalization (which was a 3 month hospitalization - 15 days in ICU), and underwent surgeries. All doctors said it was a “complicated” case and I was never diagnosed. I found Dr. Saperstein on YouTube and he described a situation that was exactly like mine. I scheduled an appointment ASAP, and he knew exactly what to test for. Although the medical news wasn’t comforting, it was good to know what I had, and know that he could treat me. I would recommend Dr. Saperstein to anyone, as his knowledge and experience is greater than any other doctor that I have ever seen in regards to VEDS.

Dr. Saperstein is very knowledgeable about several different neurological disorders. He considers the broader picture of the whole person when considering a diagnosis. Takes considerable time to discuss patient concerns and connect the dots. Would absolutely recommend him if seeking answers about EDS, POTS, and even MCAS.

Dr. Saperstein (and staff) were professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. I traveled with my daughter from Las Vegas and it was very much worth the trip. After six years of being misdiagnosed and dismissed by other medical professionals we finally have an accurate diagnosis, a plan and hope. Dr. Saperstein listened to my daughter and did a thorough examination. We both left the office more optimistic than we have felt in years....thank you again

I am a physician in Arizona. I can say without reservation that Dr. Saperstein is the BEST neurologist in the state and likely the southwestern U.S. Dr. Saperstein is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, professional, and dedicated. His staff is dedicated to helping Dr. Saperstein provide the highest level of care to all of his patients. His level of knowledge is well beyond the level of his peers and he is a throwback to an era when the doctor really "Cared" for their patients. I would recommend without hesitation that all patients in need of a neurologist seek out Dr. Saperstein as his diagnostic skills are unparalleled. I had seen a host of neurologists throughout the country and no one can compare to his combination of compassion, diagnostic instincts, and his commitment to his patients and his profession. I recommend Dr. Saperstein with the highest level of confidence of my family and my patients. Andrew Rabinowitz MD
