Dr. Samadi is the best, I found him over 7 years ago when I was diagnosed. He performed my surgery without any issues and he has been an angel in my life ever since. He is a pleasant and kind man.

I live in Austin Texas and my research of possible prostate cancer treatments led me to Dr. Samadi and his unique SMART treatment. I feel very blessed to have found such an knowledgeable and experienced surgeon to perform this life saving procedure with great success. I am now 8 weeks cancer free thanks to Dr. Samadi and I highly recommend him as his staff.

Dr Samadi has been a life changer. My father passed away from prostate cancer in 2000 and I seen the pain and misery that he went through. His robotic surgery that he has perfected. I have been a patient with Dr Samadi for just over a year and the care and compassion from both his office and himself is outstanding. He offers the traditional "Old School" bedside manner which is not seen in todays traditional practices. Dr. Samadi's reputation speaks for itself and the level of care to his patients is paramount.

Dr. Samadi is one of those highly rare physicians that is exceptionally skilled, supremely confident, wonderful bedside manner and fully accessible to his patients. I was so satisfied with his treatment for my condition that I “forced” my younger brother (who lives in California) to have his prostate surgery in New York with Dr. Samadi. If you are reading this review I can assure you that Dr. Samadi is the best you will find.

I'm 59. Within a very short amount of time, I was dealing with many (if not all) of the issues associated with a failing prostate: urgency, frequency, poor flow (if you're reading this, you know what I'm talking about). I was fortunate to have a family member who had been cared for by Dr. Samadi, and recommended that I see him. I had been under the care of a different medical group, and they had been performing test after test, probing in every manner imaginable. However, they couldn't seem to make a conclusive diagnosis. So, I decided to travel to see Dr. Samadi. This is important - I had been dealing with a number of Urologists for over 1.5 years, and they concluded nothing. I hopped up on the table with Dr. Samadi. Literally, within 15 seconds he said, "There it is....I can fix that." One month later I had surgery. Now, I'm two months post surgery. I'm here to say that life is back to normal. Oh...not normal as in before surgery. I mean, normal like I'm 16 years old when it comes to all things related to a healthy bladder/prostate. I told Dr. Samadi in a follow up conversation that if my situation deteriorated right now, the past two months were worth it. It's been a positive emotional and physical experience. Poor prostate is life "crippling". Having your prostate repaired/corrected is life assuring. Oh...I have forgotten to mention the most important part of this entire review. Dr. Samadi has a fantastic bedside manner. You would expect that someone as exalted as he would have an enormous ego. Instead, he's simply great at his work, and enthusiastic about reaching positive outcomes. I proselytize about Dr. Samadi because I know how oppressive the situation can be. The great news is that you have somehow made it to the best in terms of medical care. Congratulations. The rest will be easy and beneficial.

I have known Dr. Samadi for 8 years. He was the one who diagnosed my prostate issue in 2015 when other urologists would until tell me I had a high PSA level. At this point, I was concerned because the doctors told me my PSA was above acceptable levels but non provided a solution. So, I decided to do my own research to find a suitable doctor to address my condition – that is bring my PSA level to range. I then googled the top 10 Urologists in the New York area and started reading their profiles and patient testimonials. I was impressed by the scale of work he has done and the excellent reviews of the patients. I then called his office and made an appointment. I got to the reception and was asking the attendant how to get to Dr. Samadi’s office. He was also standing right there as he came in that morning and heard me and said, “I’m Dr. Samadi.” What a coincidence! We went up to the 21th floor of 485 Madison Ave. Impressive! When I consulted with him later, he was supremely professional, simple, friendly and astutely assuring when he diagnosed my condition and propose a solution. My surgery went well and I went home and started recovering. He has excellent support staff for pre- and post-surgery. Ann is especially wonderful and Dr. Samadi’s of course engaging in his usual kind and assuring demeanor. I always welcome the calmness, confident and his assurance that I will be ok. Dr. Samadi is in his own echelon and I know he will continue to provide his great service to his varied patients who stream into his practice every day. I’m free of prostate cancer today because of the treatment and care has given since 2015. It has been 8 years since my surgery and I have a normal life and continues my routine visits, which I look forward to all the time. Dr. Samadi literally saved my life and for whom my family and I are eternally grateful. Finally, I would say if you have a similar condition, it will do you good to consult with him. Dr Samadi I was referred to Dr. Samadi by a family member knowing I was in need of a good Urologist. I was given an appointment fairly quick and met Dr. Samadi for the first time. After explaining my issues, he gave me a thorough explanation including a Cystoscopy. He diagnosed me with bladder cancer. He assured me that he was going to take good care of me, which is exactly what he did. His confidence and professionalism is contagious to say the least. Dr David Samadi, took excellent care of me. He is a very caring and compassionate person and made himself completely available to me. He took the time to explain everything thing to me and my family in normal language to make sure that I understood the process of my treatment. I am posting this review on behalf of James Burbridge: Dr. Samadi was my surgeon when I developed a very aggressive and potentially life threatening form of prostate cancer twelve years ago. I was 49 years old at the time. Other doctors who I had consulted recommended various treatments that inevitably would have resulted in my death. I went to Dr. Samadi for a second opinion. Dr. Samadi recommended and performed a life-saving prostatectomy on me. Following the prostate surgery, Dr. Samadi prescribed radiation therapy because the cancer had spread beyond the prostate to my bladder. I suffered little to no side effects of the prostatectomy and radiation and have gone on to live a healthy and prosperous life. In early December of 2022, I developed a condition in my bladder relative to the radiation I had received eleven years earlier. The radiation caused a bleeding situation in my bladder, which occurs in a small percentage of people who receive radiation treatment. Local physicians who were now treating me prescribed a merry-go-round of treatments, none of which were successful and could have resulted in terrible consequences. Upon reaching out to Dr. Samadi in early January of 2023, he promptly sprung into action and saw me the day after being contacted. At this point, he recognized that I was in serious distress. Dr. Samadi dropped everything and immediately admitted me into St. Francis Hospital. The next day, he performed surgery that was described to me as one of the most difficult he ever encountered due to internal bleeding and organized blood clots. Approximately one month later, I have had no bleeding, I have no pain and I am on the path to a complete recovery. Not to overstate, but I firmly believe that Dr. Samadi saved my life on two occasions. I would not recommend nor go to any other physician other than Dr. Samadi.

I am forever grateful to Dr. Samadi for the care and professionalism he showed me. I had a very enlarged prostate that was controlling everything I did and tremendously interfering with my everyday life. My wife and I searched online and found a ton of excellent reviews for Dr. Samadi and decided to schedule an appointment. Dr. Samadi was able to evaluate my situation and come up with a plan on that very first visit. I was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer in August 2021. I traveled out of state to meet with Dr. Samadi in September 2021 to discuss my options. In 2016 I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer, with a gleason 9 and a 18 PSA, I was besides myself as I didn’t have any symptoms and felt very healthy. Before speaking with Dr. David Samadi, I was referred to two surgeons who basically spoke to me about statistic, and told me they would do what he could, but being my numbers were so high, no guarantees. At the second consult with a surgeon, I was showed survival rates based on my gleason and PSA, this doctor, again gave me the “I cant promise” he did not have the best bed side manner. Driving home from that appointment my wife and I were silent, just scared to think what was next. My then 23 year old son, was calling to see what the surgeon had to say, and not thinking, I blurt out “no guarantees,” probably not the best idea. My son got very emotional, and started screaming ‘No” and out of anger, punched his fist thru the glass front door, bad temper. We are now rushing home to get him to St. Frances ER, this is where we met a very nice plastic surgeon who asked how this happened, we begin to tell our story, and he tells us, “Don’t worry, I have a friend who will be able to help you, he is the best”, and gives us the name of Dr. Samadi. After dealing with BPS for 10 years, I am only 56 now, I wanted to find a new DR. After being referred to Dr Samadi, I knew I had found the right Dr. During our 1st meeting he made it clear he would not prescribe 1 med until he knew what we were dealing with. After some testing, it was determined no medicine would help me get better. I had TURP surgery on Monday and all of my trepidations were put to bed and I went through my recovery. I went to two Doctors before meeting Dr SHAMDI. I was first diagnosed with the an enginal hernia and hydrocele leak which was wrong. I then went for a second opinion. The second Dr said I could live with this problem and I was heart broken for a year. Thank God I decided to see the best. I just had the operation and I'm 100× better. never give up! You are probably reading this review because you received some sobering news that you have prostrate cancer. That is how I first found Dr. Samadi, searching terms like “Best Prostrate Surgeon” etc. I am 53 live in Staten Island and was fortunate enough to live close to Dr. Samadi’s office. I am writing this testimonial out of respect to those who preceded me in prostate cancer treatment and who unselfishly shared their experiences in dealing with this disease. It was the recommendations contained within these testimonials that led me to an exceptional surgeon, Dr. David Samadi. During an annual physical in 2014, I was informed that I had an elevated PSA level of 3.7 and was referred to Urology for consultation. At 52 years of age, the Urologist was not concerned about the elevated PSA and indicated that we would use the PSA result as a baseline for subsequent comparative analysis. During the next three years, my family physician continued to monitor my PSA level with only a slight increase in the results. At the advise of my daughter, a gifted and experienced physician assistant, I submitted to an advanced 4K blood test profile that reflected an increase in my PSA level to 4.5. Consequently, she insisted that I submit to a prostate biopsy. I immediately contacted my Urologist and scheduled the procedure. During December 2017, I learned that the biopsy pathology report came back positive for prostate cancer and I was given my treatment options. After consulting with my family, I opted to submit to a radical prostatectomy. By the grace of God, and the diligent research done by my wife, we contacted Dr. David Samadi’s office in New York City. His staff was very receptive and extremely helpful. They worked tirelessly to secure the medical documentation and test results needed to schedule a surgical consult. As a result of their coordinated efforts, I received a telephone call from Dr. Samadi himself within 48 hours of contacting his office. Dr. Samadi had already evaluated my case, discussed the procedure in detail and added me to his surgical schedule. Dr. Samadi’s reassurance, and his concern for my well-being, alleviated my fears and was extremely helpful during this very difficult period. I came to Dr Samadi after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. My biopsy was on 1/19/2021. I had a video conference with Dr Samadi who reinforced my previous Doctors' opinions that I should have my prostate removed. I sought out opinions from a lot of facilities-Mayo, UCLA, NYU, Sloan-Kettering ect From the beginning, Dr Samadi was caring about my condition. He assured my that his methodology would help me retain my quality of life. I am 59 years old, so this was a huge factor for me. I definitely want to live, but incontinence would adversely affect my professional life. And ED would of course affect my personal life. As I write this, I am 3 weeks post surgery. I have minimal incontinence, and was very surprised to experience a slight erection this weekend. To sum it up-I feel good. I cannot say enough about Dr Samadi's competence. At the time when I searched for a surgeon to perform a prostate surgery I read an article in The Daily News about the radio talk show host and Guardian Angels leader Curtis Sliwa. His case was very complicated because he has been wounded many times in the abdomen, and Dr.Samadi performed the surgery on him, and he got back to work in 3 days. I had my surgery in October 2011, here are some of my notes:1. Before surgery, when IV has been installed on my left arm, the hair was not shaved of my arm, and before discharge the nurse had a problem removing a tube with a lot of tapes from the arm. It was painful.2. After surgery, I felt pain but I thought it is usual and did not complain. However in the night my blood pressure showed over 180, I asked to give me Atenolol which was prescribed by my cardiologist for emergency. When I got home I started taking Tylenol, my blood pressure remained normal and I slept pretty much. I believe Tylenol should always be given to patents after surgery. I appreciate Dr.Samadi's care of my wife arranging a bed for her to stay with me over the night.3. In Post Operative Instructions for Robotic Radical Prostatectomy in the section Catheter Care, should be added: For catheter removal appointment, bring briefs and Mans Guard pad with you.4.Since then I'm leaking with no hope for a normal life. I believe my case has been pretty ordinary. My PSA increased year by year and in 2011 reached 45. Then Dr.Scionti at NYU Medical Center performed a biopsy and in 4 pieces of 14 there was adenocarcinoma with a Gleason score 6-7. Dr.Scionti avaluated my prostate cancer as a moderate risk and recommended cryotherapy which is his specialty. I decided no reason to prolong the story and opted for a surgery. Then I went to so much advertised Dr.Samadi at Mount Sinai Medical Center, and you know the rest of the story. The significant part in my decision made reviews on rateMd.com and vitals.com. That time I did not know they remove negative reviews, and because of that a patient cannot evaluate real advantages and disadvantages. My PSA now is 0, and my only problem is incontinence. I read articles online and hoped that my condition is a matter of time. In a year after the surgery Dr.Samadi did a cystoscopy on me and said as a side affect of the surgery there is a scar which does not let a sphincter to shut completely. I will make this as brief as possible. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer during 8-2016 and my wife and I were in a state of panic not knowing what to do. At that time, my urologist, a very experienced doctor, had recommended surgery to have the prostate removed. After some research, and within one week, we were in Dr. Samadi's office. He spoke with us, and after reviewing the biopsy report, Dr. Samadi said "I can help, we'll remove the prostate and the cancer." As a child, your dad is always your superhero. My dad has always been my Superman, protecting, strong, and invincible! So, one could only imagine the devastation in learning that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I vowed to get him the best care on earth. We weighed his options, ultimately deciding on surgery. We travelled from Pittsburgh, Pa to New York City for Dr. Samadi and we are so thankful that we did. I had an elevated psa and a biopsy showing 2 out of 12 core samples were cancerous and a Gleason score of 6. I met with 2 surgeons in Pittsburgh, and was told to figure a year of urine incontinence and 18 months of sexual dysfunction after having my prostate removed robotically. And that was "nerve sparing" surgery. I am 49 years old. I did not want that for the rest of my life We found Dr. Samadi by accident. We called and got a consultation 2 weeks later and after meeting Dr. Samadi in person, we knew that he was the surgeon for me! His reputation is phenomenal! Dr. Samadi removed my prostate on Oct. 8, 2018, and everything has been great! I returned to work, 4 weeks later, I hunted bear at 6 weeks post-op, and had my follow-up bloodwork at 6 weeks and my psa levels were at zero-which is exactly where they want it to be. I have complete control of my urine and do not have any problems with sexual function. The biopsy of my prostate after surgery, did show more cancer. My Gleason score was actually a 7, instead of the 6, that the original biopsy had shown. My experience with Dr. Samadi as well as all his staff has been first class. From our very first meeting, Dr. Samadi was very informative, answering all my questions, and the staff at Lenox Hill Hospital were amazing. I can't say enough good things how fantastic my experience was. I’m 65 years old and was diagnosed with Gleason 7 (3+4) prostate cancer. I had the option of various Radiation treatments or removal of the prostate. After reading about radiation and despite several Doctors recommending it, I decided radiation was not an option for me. Logically radiation did not make any sense, this is my take and you can read all available information on the Web and talk to experts and make your own decision. I was searching for a Surgeon with the best expertise to do the job, in other words a professional in the field with a passionate, caring attitude, and genuine interest in providing care. The key to professionalism in any field is simply a matter of practicing a task many times over, simply put I learned that Dr. Samadi performed over 7000 procedures, at the average rate of minimum 2.5 hours each case, this is a lot of practice. Dr Samadi is very skilled at robotic assisted surgery . When visiting his office you will be briefed with the SMART , “Samadi Modified Advanced Robotic Technique “ in my opinion the best technique for removal of the prostate, and the results were recognized immediately. Within 4 days after surgery I returned to work, and I was dry from the moment they removed the catheter , (9 days after surgery), and I already experienced several erections using Daily 2.5 mg of Cialis,( I was told to use 5 mg ,I broke each pill in half and using. only 2.5 mg ) I just had my six week follow up appointment to check my PSA level , Proud to say my PSA is not distinguishable and I’m Very happy I'm doing exceptionally well, I would like to thank Dr. Samadi for giving me back the quality of life, and recommend him with all my hearth to anyone needing to go through the procedure. During the entire process Dr. Samadi demonstrated compassion and genuine concern before and after my husband's surgery. As a spouse, that was comforting to know. I am a retired Army veteran who was diagnosed with prostate cancer age the age of 54 and had no prior history of prostate cancer in my family. Dr. Samadi performed my surgery June 27, 2018 and I am on the road to recover. My journey from Lakeland, Florida to New York to receive the best care from the best urologist in the world was well worth it! He has as earned my respect and gratitude as long as I live. I highly recommend his services!

Good doctor but 1.5 hr wait time, which no one there warned me about (or seemed to care about). Also had a bunch of paperwork which they didn’t care to email in advance
