This is a terrible place , my dad needed an emergency visit Spitting up blood for weeks . there was a mess up ln insurance and for some reason he owed $270, even though they had a payment plan set up , they would not see my father until it was paid in full !!! The office staff was very disrespectful and ignorant , you should be ashamed to be in healthcare ! I don’t even give you a one star I give you a -0 ! Even after it was paid his family doctor try to make him an appointment and they said sorry we can’t take you it’s not paid which it was . I am absolutely disgusted , would not recommend this office to anybody . Best GI Doc in NEPA. Thoughtful, intelligent and thorough.

Dr Rutta doesn't give you a good exam. He mostly depends on tests, and orders lots of tests. But then he doesn't solve your issues and just says he has a lot of patients that keep him busy. His staff Never answers the phone. You have to leave messages, and they don't call you for days.

Dr does not really listen to you and never calls you back.

What a nice, personable Dr. Great bedside manner and he explains everything that he finds in layman's terms. Everyone there is so nice! I will be returning for more testing and wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

Dr Rutta is not only an excellent, trustworthy physician but he displays care, openness and time to explain and follow-up. I have a family with a strong colon cancer history, and he is understanding and willing to work with me to alleviate both fear and possible future problems. Anesthesia used leaves. no after-effect! My husband and I have seen Dr. Rutta for this routine procedure since time of recommendation and we and can only recommend him highly, as well as his caring staff..

Rude and condescending. I was told Colitis does not cause the pain I am feeling. I am not sure where a doctor or anyone gets off telling me or anyone else how they feel. I would highly recommend looking for a GI doctor elsewhere. He was also very rushed and would not listen to what we have to say. FYI I saw this doctor in the hosptial.

Poor bedside manner. He didn't seem to take my previously diagnosed chronic illness or my current gastroenterological symptoms seriously, just throwing random medication at my symptoms without doing further testing to actually diagnose the underlying problem.
