My visits are always a great experience

Was in pain for several months but my run was declining for a long time and had a limp. Pain going down the leg and foot and eventually got into quality of life. Couldn’t stand long or walk but a half mile or so. Dr Rothbart recommended surgery and I felt comfortable with his decision and explanation. The whole staff is great and very thorough on the healing process and therapy which I followed doing everything advised. I am now pain free and I’m post 7 months out from surgery now and able to do a lot more now and remain very active

I’ve been avoiding surgery but finally saw Dr. Rothbart. He explained everything well and explained my risks of NOT having surgery. After having a few opinions, I feel confident that I’ve chosen the right doctor and look forward to hopefully being pain free (like I’ve read in so may reviews!). His staff was super friendly. I didn’t wait at all. Great visit!

Through exam and good explanation on the best way to go forwards and avoid surgery

Dr Rothbart took the time to explain everything to me in detail, answered all my questions and performed the surgery so that I was out of hospital next day snd back on my motorcycle in three months. His physical therapists and PA are both amazing snd I would recommend them to any one who seeks quality care

Dr. Rothbart is an exceptionally qualified surgeon. He is conservative, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. There are numerous serious issues with my spine. Dr. Rothbart and the staff at Spine Team Texas have taken care of me for 12 years. Every procedure performed has been successful. I would never trust my back care to anyone else.

Dr. Rothbart has the bedside manner of the Soup Nazi. Avoid if you're looking for compassionate care and a dialog of what's going on.

Dr. Rothbart is an amazing surgeon. I had a lateral spinal fusion as well as some other issues. The pain I had for years is now gone and I was able to walk and stand immediately after surgery. He and his staff prepare you thoroughly for surgery so you know what to expect. I was anxious about having spine surgery, but it was very successful and recovery is going very well.

Very professional, informative & complete care

Dr. Rothbart is an exceptional Neurosurgeon. He is extremely dedicated to your care and highly skilled. I had a complicated problem with my L4 and L5 nerves in my spine - plus could not take steroirds. He took the time and had the skill to not only treat me with highly skilled surgical techniques but to do so with consideration for my special conditions. He has helped me return to walking and activities free of extreme pain.

I had a very thorough examination as well as a complete explanation as what I should pursue with regard to my back.

When I saw him about my back, after my MRI, he told me everything would be fine with physical therapy (gave no time frame for improvement), and that if I should need surgery it would be outpatient. This caused me to waste several months and also money on plans I wouldn't be able to complete. Then when he decided surgery was called for, he was going to do soo much stuff that it would've likely killed me. And to him it was just UNHEARD OF that I wouldn't have somebody living with me 24/7 for the next 6 months. Well, that had to be resolved before surgery, and also, when I was in a real state of emergency, this lump of ice was going to waste EVEN MORE time running me around all over town seeing every doctor you can think of, including a PSYCHOLOGIST -- a quack who probably knows no more than I do -- who might go, gee, you're not jumping for joy over your back being a wreck, so we can't fix your back till we sort out those "issues." I dropped him and found a doctor who would help me!!

I wonder: was that his way of chasing me away because Medicare wouldn't pay him a million dollars? If so, why does he even take Medicare patients?? THEN later, they sent me bills for thousands of dollars for MRIs and such. It was like, well, we don't know how to bill the insurance so they won't pay, but no problem, YOU can just pay this. Phone calls. Bills. Finally I called and told them, I DON'T OWE YOU ANYTHING. YOU WILL NOT send me any more bills or call me anymore or, since I seem to have all this time to waste, I'm gonna start suing you ALL, starting with that doctor.

Surgery

I went to see Dr. Rothbart to get a second opinion about surgery on my neck, which was the prescribed course of action by another Dr. This other Dr. said live with the pain or have surgry. Dr. Rothbart enlightened me on alternatives other than surgery, which I will be following.

Dr. Rothbart did a thorough job of describing my condition and the prescribed surgery. I am currently recovering from my surgery at home. I have great confidence in his work and would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Rothbart to other back/spine patients.

Dr. Rothbart is a true professional who performed my neck surgery August 1, 2019. He explained the procedures involved. He assured me afterwords I would feel no pain or numbness in my left shoulder, arm and hand...he was right, his knowledge, candor directness were comforting to me. I'm so glad he is my surgeon. GOD BLESS DR. ROTHBART.

I was so anxious when there but he took the time to get through to me. He was candid and relieved me from having to make a decision that worried me. That sank in while driving home and I wished I had thanked him more. Sharon was very caring and wanted to get the info the doctor needed to make his decision. So yes, I would highly recommend Dr. Rothbart for recommending what was best for me because I believe he will treat all his patients with integrity. So again, thanks so much!

I could not have asked for a more knowledgable and skilled surgeon than Dr Rothbart. My ACDF surgery involving fusion of C5-C7 and the removal of multiple bone spurs was handled perfectly by Dr Rothbart and his incredible team.

I couldn't be happier with results and the professional, yet friendly way I was treated. By the time I was finally referred to the Spine Team I was about at the end of my rope with pain. Dr. Rothbart immediately identified the source of my problems and presented me with a solution in terms I could understand and a plan to proceed with the process. He also followed with physical therapy which I am currently undergoing to regain muscle strength in my lower back and legs and to undo some of the nerve damage incurred before I became his patient. They are on time, every time and everyone's bedside manner is second to none. Dr. Rothbart performed surgery on my lower back in December, 2018, and I had an excellent result. I no longer am experiencing drop foot, and I have regained much of my strength in my leg. I would highly recommend Dr. Rothbart. Don't let people don't have back surgery. If you need it you need it, and it is important to have is sooner rather than later to prevent muscle atrophy.
