Reviews for David A. Ray
I came in in bad shape. Oilfield worker that messed up my back. Before going to emergency This staff was unbelievably amazing and caring. Dr Deleon was the man ????????. Dr Ray saw me on my follow up. His staff was great and caring and one of the nurses even took off my dirty oilfield boots with no hesitation. Thank you all for taking care of me
Worst bedside manner ever. Old-school. no preventive medicine , no diagnosis and won't slow down to listen to all of your symptoms. just throws Pharmaceuticals at you
First let me say the lab techs are AMAZING!!! For a somewhat difficult (ok extremely difficult) blood draw. They almost always get me with one poke! Every other place I have been to takes several several sticks to get a flow from me. But not these girls! They know how to do it! I can't thank them enough. Now for the Dr. Dr ray and his wife are an amazing team. He is a no BS Dr. And Dr Milllus was my Dr for such a good long time. I wish him the best retirement I don't know if I will ever find a Dr that I trust like him again. And I also would like to commend Anna (I hope I spelled that correct) she is one of the nurses the. And she is simply the best. Friendly, and caring! And so very kind and patient. A real gem! First let me say the lab techs are AMAZING!!! For a somewhat difficult (ok extremely difficult) blood draw. The front desk is completely unorganized, and staffed with many extremely rude women, like they all hate their job with a passion, and it shows, maybe because of the disorganization that goes on. Dr. Copeland was also rude to me, maybe because he's getting up their in age, but I didn't hear him correctly and he asked to treat my son for an infection he had and he said "if you would have been listening the first time I told you his ear is inflamed." Extremely rude and unprofessional, maybe he should retire if he's that inpatient, this was our first time in this clinic and hopefully our last. From out of town Naples Florida, this man took care of me! I was a walk in good staff great doctor!
The most thoughtful Doctor I have encountered. I went in for a concern I was Very stressed about and he examined and told me I had nothing to worry about but then asked about how I was feeling mentally because he could sense my stress. It is rare to come across a Doctor who is caring about his patients physical AND mental state. He addressed problems I didn’t realize I was having until that moment. Forever thankful! I recently took my grandson to an appointment with Dr. Ray. I wore a mask because I felt it was the safest thing to do to protect others since I had been on a plane within the past two weeks and it is recommended by almost every physician you speak with. Dr. Ray was extremely rude, told me in a very hostile manner to remove the mask "so I can hear you", when I pulled it down below my chin, he said, "no, take it all the way off. I thought this was very unprofessional on several levels. I called the office the next morning to ask if they were testing for Covid19 and was told yes, they were. Dr. Ray is VERY out of touch or hard of hearing, no matter which it is he probably should not be practicing medicine anymore. He treats elderly patients to infants and is putting his entire community at risk.
I have worked as an RN 19 yrs. I met patients with hello or good morning and told them my name. At this clinic staff do neither nor do they wear a name badge or SMILE. The lady up front at Millis office was on a personal call when we arrived at 0800 for my child's forst labdraw. We signed in. This was our 2nd trip for the labs. We came at 10 am the week before and they said we cant draw them bc it is TIMED FOR 0800...I saw the lady was nice to an old man telling him his wait time, and 4 were ahead of him ect.. so I asked at 0815 " hi my sons labs are timed for 0800 d/t his testosterone..So I was wondering if their are many infront of him as well " Her reply was not nice to us " Im doing the best I can! Im doing his paperwork" I bring my child here and noone says hello to him. Only the PA is nice to us. Millis.. Today we had lab draw for the first time. A child has to be very nervous you see. So extra waiting adds to nerves. They could not get it after 2 attempts. They blamed us and the PA for telling us no food or drink. Acting as if my son is dehydrated. Then blamed my son for not being calm and his veins tensing up. All he did was cry. I was a medical laboratory technologist prior to nursing and If I couldn't get blood I did not blame the patients. Just saying.. Is it possible to be nicer, smile, say Hello... I have worked as an RN 19 yrs. I met patients with hello or good morning and told them my name. After being diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 9 and having three consecutive brain surgeries in the last 2 years all under the care of the same team at Stanford University, I know my medications and condition very well. Being disrespected, belittled, threatened and patronized by this man within the first minute of him walking into the room reminded me of the way that my clients, who are victims of domestic violence, describe the way they are verbally and mentally abused by their partners. He didn't know, and I didn't tell him that I went to school for and work in medicine. Because everybody should be treated exactly the same no matter what they do, and the fact that he treats a woman like this once, speaks volumes for the person that he is. The women are very pleasant however. I hope he doesn't treat them the same way. Although I've only seen him once he seems to be straightforward and although he couldn't do much about my chronic pain (as that's a pain management Dr's job) he did help me with my severe anxiety and for that I'm very grateful. Like i said, i only saw him once but bc of my overall experience with the office staff, nurses and Dr Ray i will give 5 stars! I'll continue to see Dr.Ray for my pcp and my anxiety issues! I have had the absolute worst dealing with Dr. Ray's office and nurses. I was initially seen by Dr. Ray for lower back pain. After an MRI, I was referred to a neurosurgeon, which resulted in surgery on my lower back. After my post-op visit, the surgeon prescribed physical therapy. The physical therapy office had to have a referral from my PCP for my insurance. It has now been over a week, and I'm still waiting for my referral. Upon calling Dr. Ray's office, I was passed around to 4 different nurses and was given a different story from each. The last one simply told me there was no one taking care of referrals, and my paperwork was sitting in a pile of papers that had been pushed to the side and hadn't been touched in over a week. The nurses were rude and completely unhelpful. They couldn't care less that this is affecting my physical health. I am appalled at the way they would treat a patient with urgent needs. I will immediately be changing my PCP and taking my business elsewhere. I have had the absolute worst dealing with Dr. Ray's office and nurses. I was initially seen by Dr. Ray for lower back pain. My first visit with Dr. Ray's office was very pleasant. When I called to make the appointment they were able to get me in the same day. Check in was easy, I was quickly called back by the nurse waited a few minutes by the nurses station then went into a room. Once I was in the room my wait wasn't long at all before Dr. Ray came in. He listened to my complaints, treated me and I was on my way. I used a local pharmacy so I could get my medications and go home, when I got to the pharmacy my medicat

I called ahead for a physical. Submitted my paperwork in advance and was told I would be in and out in 30 minutes. I arrived early and then waited until 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. An hour and a half later....
