Very professional and capable..a caring doctor

I was referred to Dr. Price from my PCP, and am very happy about it. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and I have to say he was wonderful, as were his nurses and nurse practitioners. Through all of it they showed compassion and care. While in the hospital not only did Dr. Price visit me, but also the two practitioners as well. What a wonderful team. The front office staff at first were a little hard to deal with as they were kind of rude, but they have changed over staff up front and they are fabulous. Time will tell if my cancer stays away, but so far my PSA number is non existent a year past surgery.

This guy is a jerk. Run away fast and see another urologist. Any other urologist.

Staff at the front are nice and helpful. My husband was scheduled for a in office procedure that would take about an hour. Before the doctor came in, they said I had to wait in the waiting area out front and only the doctor and patient could be in the room for the procedure and they would ‘keep me updated’. To me, this is asking for problems to only have the doctor and patient in the room, at that point it is the patients word against the doctor and we all know these days who win in that case if something were to go wrong later. I’d suggest changing that policy. My husband has issues with blacking out when seeing his own blood, which they did not know about.. and he almost did just that.. y’all should consider the way the patient feels more comfortable with someone else in the room during the procedure especially an in and out procedure. Dr. price is a real good doctor he help me with kidney stone his staff was most helpful and friendly if you have any kidney problems a kidney stones Dr. Price will help you.

I have seen Dr Price twice. Once for an evaluation and the second for IVP results and have a cystascope. Both times I found him to be bad at listening and horrible at answering questions. I was there less than 15 minutes each time, including having the scope, and the only thing he found time to do was charge my insurance company several thousand dollars. I DO NOT recommend him to anyone who needs answers or advice. His practice is built on the lack of local options! Drive to Houston!

Dr. Price is very good, takes time to explain. Knowledgeable. Some staff are ok, several are snooty, and generally unfriendly. Have seen this on multiple occasions, the same ones, I hate to deal with them. Not sure why the Doc continues to keep them there.

We drove two hours to Lufkin from a larger town, just to have Dr. Price perform robotic surgery on my husband. We are so glad we made that choice. Dr. Price is a highly skilled surgeon and we could not be happier with the results of the surgery. We also value his opinion greatly. He spends time with us, always showing respect for our concerns. He always gives us options, never making us feel pushed into anything. He always answers our questions directly and honestly and gives his straight forward opinion when we ask for it. That is a huge help in making decisions. I would gladly drive two hours and pay for the office visit, just for his opinion and counsel alone. He has a wonderful bedside manner. Even with a diagnosis of cancer, our consultations with him leave us feeling more reassured and more comfortable, because we know exactly where we stand. Now my husband is facing another unrelated diagnosis requiring surgery. This will not be robotic surgery, but because we believe there is no better surgeon than Dr. David Price, we will again drive the two hours to Lufkin. I must also add that Woodland Heights was a superb hospital and we liked it better than the hospitals in our area even though it was smaller. Highly arrogant, did a prostatectomy on my husband. Be prepared to wait hours to see him in his office and if you dare complain, he will tell you to go somewhere else

Dr. Price is great. I see some complaints about waiting time--Well if you want the best some times you need to be patient. He is my current Dr. His staff are great--maybe one could use a refresher course in treating people. But I am an old man and an old grouch so that may not count. Check this Dr. out. He also is one of the leading microscopic surgeons in Texas. He is great that is why he is busy.

I was shocked when Iwas diagnosed, by another physician and sent home to read the books. Luckily a few friends, not in medicine, told me there was hope. Dr. Price actually gave me some other physicians names before i left. I had another surgery later that year, his recommendation. the hospital he refereed was more highly rated than his. We were in the waiting room for an hour then in the back room for 20-30 minutes waiting then the doctor was in and out every few minutes.
