I'm giving this place a 5-star review, reason? When you first walk in to the clinic the overall atmosphere is welcoming with friendly staff. They were most helpful in assisting me and answering some questions. I waited about 10~ minutes to see Dr. Pohl himself (slow day probably) I gave him a run down of my symptoms and overall health and was helpful throughout the entire process answering questions about this and that. One thing to note and it is a good one at that, Dr. Pohl is a straight forward Physician, never sugar coating anything and explains things in a way that you could understand rather than throwing a dictionary right into your face. I went to this office last week for my appointment and the staff wasn’t wearing masks. In the height of Omicron, this is unacceptable.

I went in for an appointment last week and none of the staff were wearing masks. I immediately told them I was canceling my appointment. In the midst of Omicron, this is unacceptable.

Unfortunately the Dr apparently is Not aware of the front desk representing his practice. Twice while trying to make an appointment the hispanic front desk was rude and uncompassionate in her handling of a patient trying to be a new patients. Trying again to make an appointment another member from Drs office was compassionate and understood the scheduling of a time convenient for an older unwell patient. HOWEVER miss unfriendly hispanic nurse basically called the appointment time as being made up. Said it was 30 minutes later than it was. And more or less called me a liar. She again was unfriendly and acted as if she could care less if the appointment was kept or not. If I was not clear she was very prejudice in her interactions with me. Why I mention her being hidpanic. If Dr is unaware Dr Pohl should know who is representing his practice. I have made an appointment with a much more professional organization. Dr. Pohl has decades of experience in the field of pulmonology. He's a native of Central Texas and proudly practices his knowledge and skills on patients seeking a chest/lung specialist who are also wise enough to book an appointment with him. He'll also be happy to discuss his extensive collection of cowboy/western art that adorns his office and exam rooms...just ask about any of his many paintings. I have been a patient for Dr. Pohl’s for many years. He has assisted me in maintaining my activity level, has answered all my questions, and I have always received a call back if I had to leave a message. Over the years I have referred several individuals to his quality care knowing they would receive the best of care.

Dr. Pohl may diagnosis the issue, but the man is cold and hard to deal with as is his staff. I just got a ding on my credit report for a bill in 2013! It is 2018! They do not return calls and do not accept calls between 8:30-12:00 or 1:00-4:00. Dr. Pohl does not want you to leave a message. I can not get paperwork as to the charges. Please don’t make yourself anymore miserable. Find someone else quick.
