The Best!

I don’t know where to begin with Dr. Pharis and his staff. My parents were visiting from overseas and my dad desperately needed Mohs surgery. The staff scheduled the surgery immediately and reassured us how this would be a great outcome. Dr. Pharis and his staff are beyond professional and thorough. I work in the medical field as a rep and can honestly say they are exceptional.

Dr. Pharis was incredible, but that is only part of the story. All team members at the office were friendly and efficient. They explained every step of the process with an appreciation of how important the procedure was to me. Dr. Pharis went out of his way to explain my situation with follow up to check on my progress.

From start to finish, this was hands-down the best medical experience I have had in my life. Jan called me to schedule well in advance and gave me a very descriptive run down of what I could expect as well as followed up immediately with and email of the instructions for the day. The day before the procedure, I got a confirmation call reminding me of what to expect and what was needed from me. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Priscilla with a giant smile, an easy check in and snacks to choose from while I waited. I waited 2 minutes and was brought back by the sweetest doctor's assistant named Cathy. She eased my nerves, explained the procedure and care instructions and was such a calming presence. After all the medical talk, we chit chatted about kids and life, and it took my mind off being nervous. Then Dr. Pharis entered and he was awesome! He explained to me why the procedure was necessary and what I could expect. During the procedure Cathy and Dr. Pharis kept my mind off what was happening and before I knew it, it was done. At 7:30pm that evening, I got a personal phone call from Dr. Pharis asking how I was and if I needed anything. The best part was when I told Cathy how nice Dr. Pharis seemed, she explained that he is that way to the staff as well. She said often the treatment of patients and staff are not always equal, but said Dr. Pharis and his wife treat everyone of them like family. I am so shocked that this place does not have more positive feedback. When you step in through the door they treat you like you walked into an all inclusive resort. The staff at the front desk is kind and compassionate. Priscilla truly loves her job and you can tell by the way she engages with her patients. The nurses and Dr. Pharis are great. They though of everything and make the procedure as comfortable and as welcoming as they can. I would highly recommend. I'm 63 and had 13 surgeries in my life which means I have interacted with more than just a handful of doctors through the years. Dr Pharis and his office staff are nothing short of phenomenal. I have never felt so welcomed from the very first phone call making the appointment to checking out after the end of my Mohs surgery. Staff was personable and made it clear if I needed anything to just call. Dr. Pharis himself did something only one other doctor has done in my 63 years. He personally called me around 8pm the night following my surgery to check on me and make sure everything was okay. How many doctors do you know that actually do that anymore? Wow! Would highly recommend Dr. Pharis and team! First Class all the way!

The non medical personnel at this practice is rude and they are not attentive. I believe they should be replaced or retrained, why doctors don't pay attention to their staff and ensure they are professional and courteous. Most of them are not.

Outstanding experience

Not only is Dr. Pharis a talented doctor with a great bedside manner, but he has surrounded himself with a caring and competent staff. Highly recommend!

I was pretty nervous about having a cyst removed I had for years. They were incredibly friendly, professional and super comforting the entire process. Outstanding customer service from the first call to the follow up call from the doctor.

Dr. Pharis' office charges a visit fee for out patient surgery follow-up appointments. This is the follow up visit where the doctor spends two minutes with you and says everything looks great with the work he performed. I have never had a provider do this before. Definitely ask them before you have the procedure performed if they will charge a visit fee for the follow-up. If you do not, they will trap you at the time of the follow-up visit with either a cancellation fee or the visit fee. This office has one of the BEST medical teams I've ever been treated by. I was nervous, anxious, and dreading the procedure. JAN, is the reason I made my appt with Dr. Pharis, she's an absolute gem. I asked her a million and one questions, probably the same question a few times, and she was so patient, understanding, and just all around KIND to me. Cathy, was my nurse assisting Dr. Pharis. She was welcoming, GENTLE, and we shared several laughs during the numbing so my mind was more at ease. Angela, was kind enough to assist my partner in ensuring I made it to the car. Dr. Pharis, what an amazing gentleman! He took the time to call me personally and ensure I was doing ok after the removal of Larry-Bob the Lipoma (named during the removal process, hilarious). I went to Dr. Pharis today to have a severe mole completely removed. From the moment I booked it was excellent service. The receptionists were sweet and bubbly. Waiting room had a large snack bar available . Nurses were so kind and gentle. Dr Pharis was kind,calm and thorough. Dr. Pharis even gave a personal call tonight to check on me . As a retired RN with 40 years in the front lines, I knew what to expect from the Mohs surgery I was scheduled to undergo. What I did not know was the very high level of competence, friendliness, compassion and caring all of his staff exhibited while I was there. Dr. Pharis is very friendly, he will explain everything he is doing during the procedure, my discomfort levels during the procedure were minimal and my post-op instructions were very thorough. I just wish more physicians had practices this well run by people who truly care about you. I can strongly recommend Dr. Pharis and his practice without any reservations at all.

From the first contact with the office to the end of the experience, the quality of customer service and patient care was exceptional. The surgery itself was very empathetic and the outcome was great! You have truly succeeded in building a culture of excellent patient care!

The day after Christmas I received a biopsy from my dermatologist that I had a malignant melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, and having been a patient of Dr Pharis, who removed a precancerous spot earlier, I knew exactly what to do and that was to contact his office immediately. This set the wheels in motion and he successfully performed Mohs surgery to remove the cancer and now I am cancer free. I strongly echo all his testimonials. So many facets of this practice should be recognized, beginning with adhering to our appointment time as scheduled! The staff was exceptional (proficient, pleasant, compassionate). Kudos to the office manager who addressed all in the waiting room, stressing that they would certainly do their utmost to make everyone feel comfortable. Books, magazines, drinks and a variety of snacks were made available. We left with adequate instructions, and Dr. Pharis even phoned in the evening to check on the patient. Would HIGHLY recommend him!

I had Mohes surgery in Illinois and scheduled to be in Johns Creek a week later for business at Alcon I was In a jam to get stitches removed. Last week Dr. Pharis performed a procedure to remove a cyst from my arm and I quite pleased with the experience. I did not have to wait long after I arrived to be seen and including the procedure I was probably on my way home in about an hour. The staff was very friendly and pleasant to deal with. The only thing I did not like about the office was their horrible choice of 70's muzak-elevator music. It was piped throughout the offices and was quite annoying. Dr Pharis is an excellent Mohs surgeon that is a superb doctor who focuses 100% on his patient, the successful outcome of the surgery, the comfort of his patient during and after a procedure. He communicates in a manner that the patient is fully informed at all times. His staff work as a team and have the same caring attitude as Dr Pharis.

One of the most professional, friendly and well-run practices I have been treated at. Dr. Pharis is wonderful and made an uncomfortable procedure a great experience! He is extremely competent, explains what he is doing to put the patient at ease, warm and friendly. I left feeling most confident in my treatment and would not hesitate to give him the highest recommendation and to use him gain, if necessary. His assistant was very warm, informative, and again, make an uncomfortable procedure pleasant.

Excellent staff to support an excellent doctor. Every step of my surgery to remove skin cancer just above my eye was explained. Pain was minimal. The night of the surgery Dr. Pharis called me himself to be sure I was ok. Never had a doctor do this before. Healing of the wound has been rapid as I meticulously followed instructions on caring for the wound. No question I would recommend Dr Pharis to all. He is first rate.

I saw Dr Pharis for a 2 day slow Mohs procedure. His staff were very helpful when scheduling and provided lots of information before the procedure. Dr Pharis took time to answer any questions I had and his assistant was very nice too. My procedure went well and if I need anything else done I will see Dr Pharis and his staff again!

Most Excellent Doctor skill... communication, and care from all staff members. His experience a nd special training shows. Doctor Pharis called me after surgergy in the PM to make sure all was well. Go with The Best - don't settle for less when having Moh surgery.

From the front desk, to the nurses, to Dr. Pharis I found courtesy and compassion. I’m also quite pleased with the results, Dr. Pharis took important cosmetic implications into account and I’m very grateful.

The whole experience with Dr Pharis's practice was excellent. Scheduling was easy and informative. The office visit was smooth and efficient (Mohs takes a little time so bring something to read). And I got a followup call in the evening to make sure all was good. This was a great experience.

The experience could not have been any better. The nursing staff was excellent, they were friendly and explained what was going to be done and the process that Dr Pharis would be doing. I have never had a more pleasant experience at a medical office. Amazing staff all the way around. Dr. Pharis clearly loves what he does and it translates to the entire staff. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. I even heard other patients in the waiting room making similar comments. I wouldn't go to another Mohs surgeon!

This was my 2nd visit to Dr. Pharis. Each time it has been a most pleasant experience. From front desk to checkout, the office staff are upbeat, helpful and caring. The nurses I've had were kind and personable, putting me at ease prior to the procedure. Dr. Pharis himself is also personable and has a pleasant and calm 'bedside manner'. He even called me after my procedure to check on me. The ONLY negative thing: it is VERY cold in the office but they do warn you so bring a sweater!

An excellent doctor and an excellent office! I was nervous and everyone was very knowledgeable, patient and kind. They made sure I understood everything that was going on, from the surgery to insurance billing. I would definitely recommend Dr. Pharis for anyone who needs dermatological surgery.

Dr. Pharis sent me to the Gwinnette Medical Center for an ultra-sound on my abdomen. He didn't fill out any details on the form they needed. So the imaging center sent faxes and e-mails of the forms for his office to fill out. After 90 minutes, Pharis's office did not receive any faxes or e-mails, and I finally had to leave. They literally didn't care. I left my house at 7:30am for an 8:30am appointment and finally left and gave up at 10am. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BYPASS THIS WORTHLESS OFFICE

A bit more wait time than I would have liked during the pause in the procedure sequence. Dr. Pharis was pleasant and efficient once I was in his chair for the Mohs procedure. He was able to get clean margins and base in one excision. Healing was uneventful and it looks like the scar will be minimal.

Dr. Pharis' staff is outstanding and friendly. From scheduling an appointment with Margaret to Cathy, the assistant that helped with my procedure, the experience was exceptional. Dr. Pharis is very personable and answered all of my questions.

I took my 101 year old father for a mohs procedure today. The front office staff were very friendly and efficient. I was very impressed with Dr. Pharis and his entire team! He was very pleasant, professional, patient, and through with my Dad. The nurses/assistants were attentive, competent and professional. Everything was explained throughly. Payment/copay was taken AFTER treatment...rare these days! Also, Dr. Pharis called tonight to check on Dad.
