Dr. David Hugh Nielson

I was referred to Dr Nielson after a bit of a runaround from other doctors and a neurosurgeon. One I met him I thought “this guy LOVES what he does and is eager to share what he knows”. His staff was friendly and very helpful. We scheduled surgery to remove a growth/cyst/tumor that was attached to my lung, embedded in my spine and growing around my aortic valve. I had plenty of time to back out, read reviews, etc. his staff and the hospital staff at NC Baptist made me glad I didn’t. It’s been a painful recovery, however, he was extremely thorough, very clear on what he was doing and why, took extra precautions due to my pre-existing blood disorder and overall did what he said he would do, when he said he’d do it. My daughter- who previously worked for several local doctors was impressed-after initially being concerned. The hospital staff seemed not to know him well at first, BUT before I was discharged 2 let me know they appreciated him, he was deemed the “belle of the ICU” and they were all looking forward to working with him again. One stated “if something happens to me, I want him as my surgeon for sure!” He’s thorough, he’s clear and oh my is he passionate about what he does. Just had surgery to remove a growth attached to my lung, embedded in my spine and growing around my aortic valve. This thing was causing severe chest pains, weakness in my legs/dizziness and strangely an incessant cough. Dr Nielson and his staff were very clear on what needed to happen, how it would happen and what the recovery would look/feel like. He went over and beyond due to pre-existing blood disorder and had ultrasounds done, then ensured I was on my meds and doing well before leaving the hospital the following day. Even the hospital staff was telling me that he was great and they hope if anything ever happens to them, they want him to be their surgeon.

Dr. Nielson is the best doctor we have ever met. I was a dental surgeon before I got diagnosed with cancer and metastasis to my lungs. He is skilled, experienced, knowledgable and very intelligent and above all compassionate. He performed 3 complicated lung tumor ablation surgeries on me. David Nielson is a liar. He will lie to you about the side effects of ETS and take your money from you. Avoid him and avoid ETS sugery, the side effects will ruin your life! I was sucked into his lies, made an emotional decision, and have to live with it every single day.

In 2001, I had Dr Nielson perform his Thorasic surgery to reduce my underarm sweating. Although underarm sweat was reduced, the after effects have been far worse. When I eat, my head and neck pour sweat, even if I'm cold. It is so severe, I cannot eat in public. Worse, even when I'm not active, I sweat excessively in my groin, between my butt, my back, my stomach and my legs. The unnatural sweating allows constant rashes in my groin areas and I must wear heavy underclothes. Also, my face and hands no longer sweat or maintain natural moisture. The unnaturally dry condition has made my skin wrinkle and look older than it actually is... I guess 15 years older. When I have sex, my stomach sweats so severely, it becomes uncomfortable for my partner and me. I went to see Dr Nielson a 2nd time in 2012 in order to reduce this "compensating sweat". He made a bunch of cuts all over my skin claiming he was reducing my sweat glands and I would sweat less. It didn't. Some of those cuts became infected and I have permanent scars. Excellent Thoracic Surgeon! The Absolute Best! He did a fantastic job in resecting my mother's lung tumor and took the time to get a complete cure! All done using the endoscope! A True surgical talent and God-sent! A miracle worker and excellent bedside manner. My entire family will be forever grateful to you!

David Nielson told me laser is the BEST CURE for sweaty feet and my daughter can walk right after procedure! After the procedure, my daughter was in severe pain because of blisters and bleeding all over both feet, poor kid was on wheelchair and crutches for four weeks. I made a complain to board with pics, but could not prove he LIED! I got a surgeon's second opinion:There is NO WAY laser can work on feet! Don't trust him on SDLA, he will use you as a guinea pig for his sick experiment!!

Dr. Nielsen and his micro ETS procedure were the answer to my prayers. I just had the procedure done two weeks ago and could not be happier with my results. My palms are completely dry and I have also seen a huge improvement in my feet which I had not expected. So far, I have not experienced compensatory sweating either. My 13 year-old daughter had been battling palmar hyperhidrosis since she was 4 years old. It affected everything. My daughter was extremely self conscious of her hands. Didn't want to shake people's hands at church during the meet and greet portion, had trouble opening her locker, getting her clarinet apart, etc. After searching for years for a solution, Dr. Nielson's website popped up on my computer screen.
