Dr. David Ethan Miller

Poor treatment, horrible receptionist, lack of personal skills and their billing needs some serious reviews. When I went to a new facility my charts were reviewed, not only was I misdiagnosed, but I was under treated per prescription recommended standards. I would stay clear.

Wonderful staff and office. Always kind and helpful. A fantastic place to go.

Reception (Marcela) is as unprofessional unhelpful, and uncaring as they come. Specifically, I had an appointment which I showed up for and she claimed it was supposed to be virtual. I pulled up our emails where we booked an in-person appointment and she had the audacity to speak to me as though I was crazy.

Dr. Miller saved my life. He's compassionate, brilliant, professional and thorough. If you need help with your mental illness there is absolutely no one else I would recommend that's better. Marcella is awesome as well. She's patient, knowledgeable and very helpful.

After calling 5 times over the past month, I have received no return call. This is despite the assurance on their voicmail to leave a message and they will 'return your call in up to 48 hours'; its annoying to hear the lie at this point. After seeing the positive reviews for this office, I felt the need to mention my experience with them. As other reviews have mentioned, the office staff here is completely incompetent. Never once have I called the front desk and gotten an answer (and I've been going to this office for years now). It always rings twice and goes straight to voicemail. Every. Single. Time. Marcella is the employee who works the front desk who you can never seem to get a hold of. As a patient here, you'll occasionally get voicemails from Marcella asking you to call back (presumably about paying your balance from last visit, insurance, changes, etc.), which is hilarious because they never pick up the phone. It ends up starting an endless game of phone tag in which you are the loser every time. You only option is to leave a voicemail for which Marcella *might* respond to in the next week or so. Saved my family's life!

I was to get a new patient with Dr. Miller so had to wait three months to get in. The day my appointment finally arrived, I was excited to see him and start working on a medication plan. However, when I arrived at the office —20 minutes early— I discovered by the front office assistant, Marcela, that I had never properly filled out my new patient information and HIPPA forms in the portal. I had thought I’d done that earlier, when I first scheduled my appointment, but apparently I hadn’t. So I asked Marcela if she’d help me get set up now that I was in the office and still had time before my appt was scheduled to start. Wow. That wasn’t going to happen! The treatment I received from her was absolutely appalling. She reprimanded me like I was a child, literally scolding me for failing to complete what was, as she made sure to point out, “the patient’s responsibility.” She snarled that I’d never responded to the voice mail she’d left me the day before. I apologized that I hadn’t seen the voice mail, acknowledged that it was my fault, and asked her if perhaps we could find a solution —could she help me get set up since I was standing there in the office. But no. She was so incredibly rude, disinterested in helping me, and showed no compassion when I actually started crying I felt so frustrated. I couldn’t believe I was falling apart like that (I’m a 68 year old woman!), but she was so snotty it was unbelievable—the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I was literally begging her to just help me get set up in the system so I could see the doctor, but she refused. All she wanted to do was snap at me to make sure I understood this was MY fault. I finally had to leave. I never got to see Dr. Miller. She told me I’d need to wait nearly two months for the next available opening. And all this while I was standing in the office, ready for my appointment. It was appalling. I actually couldn’t believe the whole thing was happening. I left the place in tears, drove home, and started looking for a different psychiatrist. I would never go back there again. No one deserves to be treated the way Marcela treated me. I had an appointment (telehealth) and I was ready and prepared for my appt, but got no login information or any communication beyond the reminder email the day before. I called at 3, 4 & 5 minutes after my appt was supposed to start. As per office policy my calls went to voice mail. I left vm with front desk and Katrina. I did not hear from anyone all day. Finally at 5:00 pm I sent a message to David Miller via the portal, and still no response. The next day as I started my work day and was in meetings and unable to answer my phone I started getting a couple of calls. I tried calling back at my availability and again left VMs. Played phone tag, and finally got an answer. At this point the receptionist started berating me about them attempting to contact me all morning and Katrina joins in saying she had records and I was at fault. Pushing me to an severe anxiety attack caused by what they diagnosed. To then only get a registered letter that they were dropping me as a patient. Read Less

Saw Dr. Miller for several years. I really appreciated his attention to detail, listening ear and an all-encompassing approach to health. My prior Dr. just listened to me for 5-10 minutes and then got out the prescription pad...I would still be seeing Dr. Miller if I hadn't moved out of state. Would highly recommend him!

Katrina is amazing! Kind, caring and compassionate. She is absolutely a gem and I am so thankful I found her!

Katrina is truly a gift. She is so kind and empathetic. She is professional without feeling sterile. She is truly the best of the best and I can’t say enough good things about how she makes me feel. We decided to have our son go to outpatient here and have had nothing but trouble with there billing department . Tons of mistakes wrong names which incurred tons of fines . Don't bother. The mental health they deliver is mediocre and not worth the headaches the billing and records department put you through.
