The only doctor I've been going to since 2003. Great atmosphere, respectful staff and caring staff. Dr.Mcpherson listens to u and explains everything to u.

Best family doctor we've ever had. Very patient, knowledgeable, and caring. So hard now a days to find a doctor that not only cares about your physical well being but also your mental and spiritual health. Highly recommend him.

Doesn't listen to the person, he is treating

Definitely does not listen!!! He just agrees with what you are trying to te him.. One day I explained to him how my legs felt like these blood clots were running down the backs of my knees and u can feel them and one on my arm. Anyway i also tried to describe the severity of my migranes and he said breath in breath out, then he asked me to stand up then to sit then he looked in my ears and he said well your still breathing . All in all i just really wish i could go back to my Mt.Airy North Carolina doctor, he understood me way better.. Not to mention when they took my blood they never called me with results or anything i had to end up calling them repeatedly. And my old doctor let me see the numbers and different levels that my thyroid and other things how they are doing, but they say blood looks fine and hangs up. So yeah i am currently looking for a LEGIT doctor that actually listens and will help u out if u think theres a problem instead of just telling u their opinion and letting it go ...because u never know , u could have sumthing life threatening while its just being blown off as nothing. In my opinion this doctor is responsible for many erroneous billings to Medicare that are consistent with fraud. Right now my credit report shows a charge of which I am not responsible for and Medicare is investigating this doctor right now. This doctor is in Medicare as a approved Medicare provider and also with Medicaid and as such when he goes outside their guidelines he will be investigated for fraud and under malpractice. The person who does the Doctor's billing at this office threatened me with sending this to my credit report. She did. Big mistake. Not only do I have the summary report from Medicare showing what I am responsible for I also have proof of payment made with my debit card through my bank not only that I have proof of paying the amount owed through their credit collection agency that was assigned on my credit report. I asked for a statement from this doctor's office showing payments made and received nothing which is also in violation of Medicare Medicaid law. As a consumer and a recipient of a publicly-funded medical Institution which is also federally funded such as Medicare and Medicaid this doctor really needs to fire his billing Clerk and pay attention to the law. He doesn't listen to his patient and tries to get you to come back again and again and again for more consultations or more tests when I can't afford that I'm on the straight Medicare with a copay of 20%. He ran tests that he thought I was going to pay for and Medicare told him no your not only he didn't like that answer. After checking with people in the area apparently I'm the only one who was cluded into this doctor An answer to someone who was looking for a doctor, a good doctor in this area could be a Tri Area Health Clinic or possibly Carilion walk-in clinic in Galax which is a lower rate than having to go anywhere else an emergency or the Carilion Clinic downstairs also takes regular patients and their fees are good there's also a Carilion in Hillsville Virginia. A wonderful person an very good Dr. In my 4 year experience. Going there this man is a professional Dr knows the business an knows what he is doing . i had a problem with my legs an nobody could heal them up they didn't know how but my ldfs are completely healed with the help of this Dr a. The lord Jesus Christ . .

Takes the time to listen and is very smart! Highly recommend.

Dr. McPherson is an awesome Doctor! He is very thorough, kind, and very knowledgeable! Dr. McPherson truly cares about his patients, and takes into account the physical, mental, emotional, and the spiritual aspects of a person. I highly recommend him!!

Wonderful man and Dr. He is professional, extremely skilled, and genuinely cares about those under his care. Literally one in a million; I cannot recommend him highly enough.
