Great service, attentive to my questions, and just all around were great people to be around.
Love Dr. Brooks! Always so nice. Thanks for being so caring. Highly recommend Dr. Mack and Brooks as well as Dr. O'Brian. Love these guys.
I saw Dr. Jacel Brooks. He was awesome! He examined my knee, explained my options and when it came to treating my knee he explained everything that would happen. I highly recommend him. Also, the staff was very helpful and friendly!
Everyone is friendly and helpful. Appreciated the results
I was referred to this doctors office by my PCP. I chose a different doc than the one recommended bcos the recommended doc was non surgical. I arrived 20 mins before my scheduled appt and waited an hour before I was seen by David Mack. Once in the patient room he gave me very little doc patient time and seemed to discourage me from obtaining an MRI for my issue. I spoke with his PA who was EXCELLENT and made me feel so much hopeful and better about my situation before leaving the office. Aside from the PA the experience was awful!!! I will proceed with MRI, however, I cannot begin to imagine David Mack performing surgery on my knee if needed, as he seemed very bothered and in a rush, not to mention he discouraged me from obtaining an MRI as if my issue were not important or severe enough. I strongly urge you to always seek a second opinion if you encounter doc behaviors that don’t seem to be concerned with your issue, but rather more concerned with what insurance will pay for and moving you through as if we’re in a free clinic on a conveyor belt. I will not be returning to this office under any circumstance.
Greetings.. I researched for months to find the best Orthopedic surgeon for my mom in Houston area. Stumbled upon Dr Mack while researching online and read nothing but praises and how good and competent he is. Since my mom was going to be a new patient; the clinic wanted to see her prior reports and/ or procedures done. While I spent the last 3 weeks trying to compile all her reports from Texas and other parts of world; I finally had them all on a USB drive. Unfortunately, the staff is rude and their system is old school. Rather than just sending out a Release of Information form(ROI) to forward to her former doctors; they want the patient to collect all prior records themselves. Not only that; they don’t accept any material off of USB drive and rather to have it all on Compact Disc. They did give me a fax number; but when her former doctors clinic tried to send over the reports which comprised of 44 pages; it kept saying transmission canceled. They don’t set up new patient appointments in person (in my case) since we drove over an hour to the Huffmeister location and was told to call the number and do it over the phone. Can not say anything negative about Dr Mack since we never got to see him. Staff at the clinic could do a better job and be more considerate. ????????
great service!!
Friendly staff and wait time was nominal!
Smooth surgery. Great personnel. Very happy with my experience so far.
I am very lucky to find MD David Mark, this place is very clean and friendly, Doctor David Mark help me with my knee concerns and his team helping him are awesome, I highly recommend Doctor David Mark for any knee injuries
Very good experience. Dr. Mack's assistant, Dr. Brooks, took very good care of me and quickly diagnosed the problem and provided immediate treatment.
Dr. David Mack is a great doctor. He did my husband's total knee replacement 10 years ago, which he did a wonderful job. Now my husband is ready to do his other knee, which Dr. Mack will be doing also. His staff is great also. They're very efficient, helpful and very friendly. There was no wait time either in the waiting room, which is not normal. We recommend Dr. David Mack to anyone looking for a good orthopedic surgeon.
Dr Mack has been incredible during my 2 surgeries. He is very professional, caring and I’m happy I chose him for my needs. He has an amazing team, with many years of experience. I’ve recommended Dr Mack to many of my family and friends.
Awful visit with David Mack. He was curt and dismissive. With an appt I waited an hour to see him….he gave me less than 5 mins of his time and was on to the next patient. When he left the patient room I was not aware he would not be returning. He answered zero questions and attempted to discourage me from getting an MRI for my injury. I would not recommend him and he probably should be investigated as I see a few patients with the same sort of experience with this doc.

He was absolutely no help to me, hence why I never went back. He was in a hurry to leave the patient room and didn’t seem at all concern about my hip situation and offered no help.

I am 86 years old and Dr.Mack is outstanding. My total knee replacement surgery was on April 19 and i walked out of the hospital April 20 by myself with a walker. I had no pain except for using my walker and as soon as i sat down it was gone. All i have is soreness. There are not enough words in my vocabulary to tell you how good Dr.Mack is.He is the best !!!!!God Bless You Dr.Mack. I would definitely not recommend Dr. Mack. I usually don’t leave reviews unless I am very pleased or very disappointed. I had arthroscopic knee surgery in November 2021, for a patellar dislocation and an osteochondral fracture of the femur. I was the last surgery of the day. I did not see Dr. Mack after my surgery, he left. My next appointment to remove the stitches I saw the PA. He couldn’t answer any of the questions I had about my surgery. Scheduled the follow up appointment making sure that it would be with Dr. Mack, I even checked at the front desk to verify I would be seeing the doctor. The PA walked in, again not having a clue of what my injury was or what was found during the surgery. I did get some great advice from him to watch my weight. I am 5’ 7.5” and I weigh 125. I don’t think my weight is an issue. Needless to say I am moving on to a different Orthopedic surgeon. I would definitely not recommend Dr. Mack. I have the utmost regard for Doctor Mack and his staff.
Saw Dr Brooks — very personable and informative.
Personally I think Dr. David Mack is a quack. He took no more than 42 seconds with me, did no exam, asked no pertinent questions and just said that I need pain management. He took NO time to find out anything, had no background or experience with me or what I thought about the pain and he states that he is an orthopedic doctor. I got to a point where I could not walk without assistance and am in agonizing pain, but he says that he cannot do anything. I think that it was due to only having Medicare and no other insurance to bill and he saw no profit in it and said "see ya" Personally I think Dr. David Mack is a quack. This was my first time to visit this Orthopedic group. Dr Brooks took care of me. He and all the office staff were thorough and took excellent care of me. The best! Dr Mack and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I was not rushed in and out, time was given to hear my symptoms. I felt that my health was their priority.
I was directed to wrong type of DR on their website.had to go thru with appointment anyway . accomplished nothing .but another Dr appointment
Long painful wait time with wrong body part given to Dr from staff.. knee when it was fractured pelvic. But Dr did all he could after I explained he got me re xrayed and explained what I was going to have to to get well I would give the doctor five star. Thank you for encouraging me in the direction of waiting for a partial knee replacement. It’s not that painful, I just wanted to make sure I was staying in the “wisdom” of the right time to do it for my age. I hope I can make to that “80” time frame! Y’all are always willing to listen, and I greatly appreciate that. I’m looking forward to the phone call to come in for the hylaronic injection that will take me out another six months in the right direction. Thank you so much, it’s always a positive experience. I was checking back with Dr Mack about my right shoulder and my pain level. The surgery was successful, but my bones are old and brittle. After taking over my care, Dr Mack had sent me to another doctor for pain management. We talked and my decision is that I made another appointment with Dr. S Patel to move forward with her plan with my pain. I appreciate Dr Mack’s patience with listening to my concerns.

Dr. Mack is an amazingly talented and most experienced knee physician at the Advanced Sports clinic in Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center . He has a fantastic spirit with his patients. Always a smile on his face making you feel comfortable about your situation.
I had a total knee replacement on 8/24/21. I can’t tell you what a friendly professional officeDr Mack has. Everyone treated me as I had known them forever. From reception to vitals,X-rays,treatment follow ups they didn’t skip a beat. Today 3 1/2 weeks later I’m walking (Slowly) with out any assistance. I still need plenty of PT, to get back to full motion. I’m on the road to recovery. I plan on having Dr Mack do my other knee God willing in January. I’ve known Dr.Mack for years. He was my first choice for treatment. His bedside demeanor is exceptional & the patients well being is a priority.
I would not recommend Dr. David Mack!. His staff is very nice but his work is has not proved to be effective. It has taken over a year to begin to get just some results. He also does not take responsibility for his work. Have waited a long while to write this review.
1. The only reason I’m giving even 1 star is because the gentleman (Mark) who did all the preliminary checks and the lady, who came in after “seeing” Dr. Mack, were so very incredible 2. Dr. Mack spent less time in the room than I spent getting from my car to the waiting room (maybe 5 minutes, max). During those few minutes I was told it could be something (that the X-rays I brought showed it wasn’t) and likely would heal on its own. It had already been close to 2 weeks with no hint of improvement. Today I’m now over 3 weeks in pain without any hint of “healing on its own.” Thankfully, the lovely lady (mentioned in 1.) was able to get something prescribed that would at least dull the aching. I could go on for quite a while (haven’t even mentioned the PA from a different hospital who put his “observations” to immense shame or the details in trying to get the appointment or how the imaging center is still waiting for that mri order..) but I’d rather just sum it up with: I will be seeing specialists elsewhere and will recommend any other folks I know to do the same. 1. Dr Mack’s Assistant gave me a pre-op briefing which was was short but to the point. He’s knowledgeable, professional and very pleasant to speak with! An enjoyable visit—even if it was in a doctor’s office.
All was well with the follow up.
I have had 3 visits to this facility. The office works well, check in via automation is flawless (for the most part) and the staff is attentive. All three visits Dr. Mack has not been on time. Yesterday I waited 1.15 hours past my appt time and another Dr. saw me. I never saw Mack. I also am in a service industry and have appointments to keep and schedules to manage. When I don’t, I correct the issue and apologize to my client. Nothing done here for tardiness and absence, this issue needs to be corrected in the already bloated and unprofessional medical industry. Edit: The marketing manager followed up. Bumped up review for effort, thank you for letting people know these are seen. If this was the rating of the office alone or Dr. Brook it would be 5 stars. Bedside mannerism and confidence is excellent. I love how he takes the time to listen. He did surgery on my son at the age of 17 and guess where my confidence lies...to back thinks up his assistant and staff will take every minute to make you feel comfortable and reassure you .I would recommend him to any member in my family..
I felt comfortable at Advanced Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Lynn called me to the back. Dr. Mack listened to my concerns. He explained procedures to me. I was able to choose the treatment plan that I felt comfortable with. Dr. Brooks put me at ease. He administered an injection and I was on my way.
I actually saw Dr. Brooks, Dr. Mack’s Associate. He gave me a cortisone shot in my shoulder for the pain I was experiencing there. I love both Dr. Mack and Dr. Brooks!!

Although attention and treatment went ok, the cost were totally wrong when billed to you and insurance, they had chosen codes in the claim book that are totally not correct and overcharge you, example they charge for an new low complexity office visit $699 USD when they charge in before you go in 80USD as advertised in the app, also they choose a code for the actual treatment that is for drain fluid from a joint that MAY INCLUDE an injection as the treatment for an injection (as the drain that is the purpose of the code didn't ever happen) also I made the appointment with Dr. Mack and He NEVER SAW ME one of his team saw me, very professional but that tell you about the complexity of the visit. I called to ask for explication and they only said those are the codes the MD choose so nothing you can do. to cut it short run if your don't want to get over charged !!!!! Unfortunately this was not a good experience. My Mom was in so much pain she wanted to die. We ended up going to Houston Methodist for surgery and she is doing great post TKR. I asked Dr Mack about surgery and he basically blew me off and said talk to the heart doctor and get a referral and left the room. Very sad because my Mom has really liked him prior to this. I recently moved from PA. I was referred to Dr Mark by my PCP. The staff were very nice and Dr Mark was nice but was very disappointed when Dr Mark came to see me he asked me couple of questions, looked to my x-rays and asked what injection i took in PA Orthopedics. Did not look at my knees, said he is coming back left and sent back his PA who explained that they will consult with my insurance how much deductibles i will get and let me know . Dr Mack himself was very nice. However my visit was very disappointing. The doctor never even touched my knee and the only solution offered was an out of pocket procedure with no definitive results. I was disappointed that the doctor didn’t palpate the area, check the things I complained about, addressed my issue. I assume because he sees knees all of the time he didn’t think it was necessary to physically touch me, but I felt that my issue was not taken seriously because the x-ray showed no break or whatever else. However, I tried to explain, even got up to show him what my complaint was because he never assessed me. I am going to get my records/x-rays and follow up with a different physician. He did give me a prescription for an anti-inflammatory medication, but again never asked specific questions. Never asked me to bend or the specifics. I had to keep telling him what the issues were on my own. No interest on his part and he spoke to me for 2 minutes, I talked for 3 minutes then sent his PA in to sell me the out of pocket elective procedure. Very disappointed that I will have to go through and pay for another office visit again to find a different MD that can address my issue. Again, Dr Mack was friendly, just disappointed in my appointment and lack of treatment options/assessment. Dr Mack himself was very nice. However my visit was very disappointing. I felt that the time spent was too little with my son. It did not last more than one minute but we waited 60 minutes to be seen.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to express my feelings and views: 1.- After the Cortisone shot on my shoulder the pain increased and took about 20 hours to reduce the pain 2 I don’t know what is the best pain killer for this. I took 400 mg of Tylenol and switched to Advil and neither drug helped. 3 I applied a heat pad and did help some. I am usually a no complainer but this has been an un expected surprise. I would really appreciate your advice on this. 4 tomorrow I will start my therapy sessions and hope things will improve my present pain. See you in six weeks or so.
