Dr. David Alan Lundin

Great experience. While the first visit felt very short, it was quick and to the point! He definitely knows what he is doing and looking at. He tells you his recommendation but also gives you options. I had been in so much pain for months, I was ready for surgery. My whole back was hurting, even with PT, chiro and massage constantly. He said let’s focus on the neck issue first and see if anything is still hurting afterwards, then we will address it. Well, that was my whole problem it turns out! I am 7 weeks or so post surgery and have been pain free since about week 3. I highly recommend him and now I’m trying to convince my husband to go see him for his back for a second opinion! If you have issues with insurance approving anything, they go to bat for you also. I had issues with mine (even with all needed documentation stating everything else failed) and they pushed and got the approval. 100% recommend to anyone.

Dr. Lundin removed a benign growth on my spinal cord that was 98% occluded.. he is a miracle worker, David Lowrey is his gifted PA.. I bless them and their staff and Valley hospital every day!!! No more walker, I’m not running marathons , but I am living a healthy life! Yes they are a great . Procedure done 2017????

I never thought I would be pain free, but I am! Dr. Lundin is super gifted, professional, very nice to work with, and is an expert at what he does. I have nothing but positive things to say about him and his team! They are a blessing to so many people and I am so appreciative I went to him to perform my disc replacement.

Just left Dr. Lundin office relieved but needing more testing. I had a positive experience with him and felt free to voice my concerns. I don't know why the negative posts but maybe being a young and good looking doctor doesn't sit well with some people (;

Dr. Lundin is excellent. He’s personable, knowledgeable, and was on time. I went in for what I believed to be a back problem, and found from him it’s a hip problem. Very pleased with Dr. Lundin. I’m more than comfortable referring him to anyone.

In Oct I suffered a very traumatic back injury. Hospitalization and diagnosis confirmed the outlook seemed worse than bleak. Although I had feeling and movement my path back to an active full life would be questionable. I had two choices. The first was to do nothing except let time, bed rest, and nature take its long arduous course of recovery or have surgery that could result in paralysis but would give me instant direction for the life ahead. Then came you, a shining light with hope and optimism that no one saw coming least of all me. Your mannerisms, strength of conviction, knowledge and simple description of what my options would become were very clear. Surgery was my only choice. Since surgery the prognosis is better than I could have ever anticipated. I’m back being active and mobile because of you. You are truly someone myself and family will forever be indebted and for whom words cannot express the true depth to which we are thankful.

Complaining of lower, midback and neck pain, he focused on prior surgery of lower back, said "fusion looked good". Wasn't interested in further checking my complaints of mid-back & neck pain. Told me to "strengthen my core, take up yoga or pilates or physical therapy". Tried another Dr. who found Thoracic Stenosis Myelopathy in T7-T10.

Called their office after I got to the point I couldn't stand it anymore. I asked if theybare taking L&I patients. They said yes and they needed all my records before scheduling an appointment. I get all the records to them and they call back saying they aren't taking any more L&I patients. He was super arrogant when I met him. Then it was a different story when he found out I had a mass in my spinal canal from getting to many shots or something. My mother just had surgery done by Dr Lundin. I took her in and told them my mom is having hallucinations after her surgery. I told him I have not been able to sleep for 4 days because my mom gets up at night and falls. Shes in a dream state. Doesn't know what's going on. Happened 3 times before this appointment and the appointment was a week after surgery. Dr Lundin's right hand man, Dr Lowery says he can't help me. When we came to Dr Lundin my mother walked in with a Walker. When we returned for this appointment I wheeled her in a wheelchair. I asked if I should take her to emergency then. He says nothing but take her to your primary care Dr. It sounds like a reaction to the medication. Well now I am sitting in emergency in Saint Joesph's. Adter calling paramedics for the third time this week. My mom fell in the garage and this time her neck hurts. It happened when I got home from her appointment with you. I hope they both endure what I have tonight with their children and parents. Better to have your pic on Seattles Best than to admit that your patient had some complications and needs some help. I suffered from chronic neck and shoulder pain for years. I tried PT, massage, chiro for years followed with nerve injections that were extremely painful and didn't work. Nothing provided a lasting improvement. I was finally informed surgery was the only option. Hesitant at the idea of neck surgery, I wanted a second opinion before making the decision to accept surgery as my only option. That's when I was referred to Dr. David Lundin. His office staff was fantastic, Dr Lundin and Dr Lowery were helpful, informative and provided me with plenty of information to make an informed decision. I had 2 discs replaced at C5/6 and C6/7 with the Mobi-C discs. I had surgery in July 2018 and immediately felt improvement, 6 months later I am so thankful I made the decision for surgery and selected Dr Lundin as my surgeon! Great doctor! Helped me with my disk injury in my neck. Yolanda was great at getting my surgery approved. Hospital staff are excellent, rooms are new and nice and private with great nursing on their spine floor. Thanks to everyone as I feel better than I have in years

I drove nearly 100 miles down from Bellingham to see Dr Lundin at the urging of my family doctor for my severe back pain. He has treated several people, including doctors, in our town so despite the awful traffic downtown, it was a great experience. He spend a ton of time with me going over various options for treatment. Ultimately, I decided on an anterior lumbar fusion. It was amazing how quickly I recovered and was back hiking and playing golf in a few months which is amazing! Thank you.

I had suffered with two bad cervical discs for a very long time. Dr Lundin convinced me that a two level fusion would not unduly affect my mobility so I had the surgery performed. My recovery went very well and after 6 months the only difficulty is convincing my body that I can move like a person with a healthy spine. I am very happy with all aspects of working with Dr. Lundin.

he must have removed my last review. Go to the spine clinic at Swedish, GET A SECOND OPINION I wish I had.

If you prefer a doctor who stands there and talk to you with his hand in his pocket most the visit, gets a bit irritated when asked for his expert opinion and expect you to read his mind, then this is the one you’ve been searching for. Wow.

Had a Tumor on my spinal cord in a rare spot... Dr. Lundin is a competent, gentle, amazing surgeon!!! Humble, educated and direct... from no sensation from below my waist to walking... healing.. and will hopefully do jumping jacks one day.. not a young girl, mature and grateful person that can appreciate his gifted surgeons qualities and humble personality!!! Brilliant , educated.., and saved my quality of life!!!

After months of getting the typical runaround with other doctors, Dr. Lundin in one appointment diagnosed my immediate need for surgery. A week later I had the procedure and I can report 3 months later I am 100% pain free and stronger than I’ve ever been. He is fantastic and I would highly recommend him.

I was extremely grateful and impressed with the timeliness and order with which my surgery was handled, and am elated with the results. Dr. Lundin and PAC David Lowery provided. They were very thorough and compassionate, making a difficult surgery the best experience that it could have been. Thank you Neurosurgical Team and UW-VMC. I have high praises for the doctors and the entire staff.

Due to my young age, I was a bit hesitant in regards to the neck surgery that had been recommended to me. After meeting with Dr. Lundin, I felt very confident I was making the best decision to move forward with the procedure. He made sure I fully understood what was to be done and clearly outlined the expectations for recovery. He also wanted to make sure that my experience at the hospital and with his office was perfect. If I ever need neurosurgery again, I'll certainly reach out to him.

I went to see Dr. Lundin for an opinion after receiving several injections in my low back. It was a 5 maybe 10 minutes at best. We didn't even look at my MRI, so no explanation of to what the problem was. The only thing he said was basically I'm fat and need to lose weight and all my back problems would go away. If I still have issues in a year come back and see him. Not caring at all! I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to this guy.

Dr. Lundin is amazing. Dr. David and Yolanda throughly explained the surgery and the insurance process. They all fought the insurance company to get the surgery approved. 4 months have past with very little pain to none. His staff is the best. They went through hoops getting the FMLA paperwork to my adminstrator that was having trouble receiving faxes (system issues). An overall wonderful group of people. I fell very lucky and feel great.

My confidence in Dr. Lundin is profound. I have and will continue to highly reccomend Dr. Lundin to family and friends in the future.

Very prompt with appointment schedule, even saw me early. Dr. Lundin is very cordial and cares about patient well being.

Dr Lundin has been excellent, he knew the right course of treatment and got me in and taken care in a timely and efficient manner every time I visited. I came to Dr Lundin from another provider, and there is a huge difference in helpfulness and sense of care and urgency over my condition. So glad I made the switch! 4 months after surgery, and I am doing great with no lasting symptoms of radiating pain down my leg at all anymore. Thanks Dr Lundin!

Dr Lundin and his office were great! Another surgeon wanted to fuse my neck and Dr. Lundin determined I was a candidate for an artificial disk. Now I have no pain and full movement of my neck! Thanks to him and his office staff. They were all great.

My Experience here has been nothing but exceptional. I knew I could not go on the way my neck was. My surgery experience was also exceptional. My neck feels fantastic. I highly recommend Dr Lundin and his staff!

I was so happy with Dr Lundin. Frankly, I was quite worried/afraid with my condition and Dr Lundin did such a nice job of being frank about options but also was compassionate about short and long term effects. He provided guidance that allowed me to make the best decision short and long term. Dr. Lundin is so knowledgeable but able to put things in terms that I understood. I am fortunate to have Dr Lundin as my provider; very confident with his guidance. (He also is just a really good guy)

My only regret is not having surgery sooner. I'm enjoying life without pain or numbness. It's fabulous! I recommend anyone with spinal issues to see Dr. Lundin. Thank you Doctor!

At initial consult, Dr Lundin introduced himself, put MRI up on the monitor, and said "this needs surgery," with no intervening discussion, exam, etc, in spite of images showing multiple potential pain sources, after which he was ready to schedule major surgery. Questioning got only brief, unilluminating responses from him. A different surgeon later did extensive testing to ID which issues were actually sources of pain, determing I needed a more extensive surgery, which ultimately helped my pain

Can't find enough words to say how great it is to be a patient of Dr. Lundin and his team here at VMC joint and spine center. He was the first doctor of many to understand and identify my symptoms where others just thought I was exaggerating or they were stumped by my explanation. My symptoms were greatly improved right after surgery and his team kept me very comfortable overnight. Hospitality was top notch from check-in to release the next day. I would recommend Dr. Lundin and his team to all.

This is a wonderful caring Dr. Before I went to see him he came highly recommended by other RN's. This is important because Nurses really know how a Doctor really is behind the scenes. He also performed surgery on one of my friends. She had a very difficult case and she made a full recovery. 5 other doctor's declined to operate on her. I thought he was arrogant,sarcastic and unprofessional. Very poor bedside manner, and even less in-depth knowledge of the most current advances in medicine. Does not care about the welfare of his patients. Office staff is dour and unfriendly. Waiting room was empty. Patients are expected to arrive thirty minutes before appointment time. Doctor leaves if you arrive even five minutes after scheduled appointment time. Traffic in the area is awful, access to the facility is difficult & confusing.

I want to thank Dr. Lundin and the rest of the staff for fixing my back.
