Dr. David S Leonard

We have three children with a history of frequent ear infections and became patients with Dr. Leonard after moving to St. Louis in 2021. WHEN we have been able to get in to see Dr. Leonard, he has been good. The problem is it's impossible to see him unless you can wait 1-2 months. Anyone with kids who have frequent ear infections that the pediatrician cannot resolve knows that you can't just wait 1-2 months to see your ENT. He did a surgery on one of our kids which had a complication following. He told us to come back in 6 weeks for another follow-up. We had to schedule for 7 weeks because they didn't have 6 weeks available. A few days later, they called us to let us know our 7 week appointment was canceled, and they couldn't reschedule us until 9 weeks out. His schedule is either poorly managed, or he is overloaded with too many patients. We are looking for a new ENT who is more available/responsive.

Dr. Leonard was amazing! He really took the time to listen and evaluate my child as an individual case. He didn't just look at the number of ear infections and automatically say we needed tubes. He truly took the time to evaluate my child's symptoms to determine if tubes were necessary. I was very impressed by a doctor that makes his money by completing these surgeries wasn't all about performing an unnecessary procedure. We need more doctors like Dr. Leonard that will go the less invasive route and do what is right for each individual patient. My husband and I were incredibly impressed and will highly recommend Dr. Leonard knowing that he will do the right thing for each of his patients!

Dr. Leonard and the staff has been extremely professional. We are grateful for the care and concern toward our big guy!

Performed tonsil and adenoid removal on my daughter a few years ago. Last year my daughter (6) was clearing her throat a lot after two pediatricians and an allergist it was said to be a habit. My mom gut was screaming at me that it wasnt and i could see how miserable she was. We took my daughter to Dr. Leonard and he was the only one who truly listened to everything i was saying and looked into this further. Turns out she was having a reflux flair up and after a week on meds it stopped. She gave me a huge hug out of nowhere when she was improving and said thats for finding a dr to help me mommy. I have to pass the credit on to Dr. Leonard lol. His staff is also great and always friendly. Audiology was awesome with my extremely shy 4 year old, he was comfortable right away and completed his test. This was at Dr. Leonards Richardson Road location. Thanks so much! He takes his time in surgery making sure everything turns out ok! I have had 2 surgeries with him and they were both very long (5-6 hours) he is the best ENT and surgeon in STL

Dr. Leonard was fantastic with my scared 7 year old daughter. He presented some quick options for us and helped us in somewhat of an urgent situation. And his office is beyond kid-friendly with the amazing staff. Great bedside manner - great care - I would highly recommend Dr. Leonard!
