David A. Kuchenbecker

He was a pretty good urologist but he has retired.

I never got to make an appointment with Dr kuchenbecker because his rude Receptionist refused to make an appointment for me because she did not want the doctor accepting any more new patients. Ridiculous! I guess she does not want to add to her workload.

My elderly father has been seeing Dr. Kuchenbecker for a few months after a urologic problem requiring monthly visits. He is an excellent Doctor, very professional. I have found him to be quite approachable, and willing to answer questions, and take the time to make sure you feel heard. His front office Nurse Mary has been very helpful and willing to give excellent advice and direction to me. I was inexperienced in the help needed to give my father, and she explained the steps I would need to follow and offered her help if I should need advice in the future. My father and I are very glad that he is under Dr. Kuchenbeckers care. And we enjoy seeing Mary every month during our visits. We would highly recommend them both!

Great doctor. Very smart and focused on my care. However, his office manager did not match Dr K's level of professionalism and care. She made it VERY clear it was getting close to the end of the day and that "we are out of here at 4:30!". Certainly did not feel she cared about anything except getting out of the office by 4:30. Won't go back to Dr K. I'm certain there are other Urologists as good as Dr. K is but with a professional and caring office staff.

Ditto to all the previous reviews. My father in law did not like him, my husband did not like him and my sister did not like him or his nurse, who I believe is front desk person, she pretty much has a gestapo like approach to anyone who approaches her. If the front desk lady has been change since 2012, sorry. Called the office because my husband was having problem and was told by her that patients aren't allow to speak with him. That was it. Now as far as the urologist no personality at all. It's hard to find a good urologist, sometimes I think the prerequisite is arrogance, rude, no time and be ready to wait a very long time to be treated like a second class citizen. The Urology group he belongs to pretty much are all the same.

Believe the other reviewers' experience with Mary. I have to wonder if the doctor knows how rude and abusive she can be to his patients and if he does know he must care little about his patients well-being to keep her in his office and subject people to her highly unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. She has zero listening skills but will talk about her problems with her job like no body's business. She also name calls ('pain in the a _ _') people on the phone if you interrupt her while she's blithering on about nothing important . Dr. also has poor communication skills. My elderly father was referred to him by his PCP during an emergency situation. Over a year later ... hoping things might improve but they are not ... we need to be out of there. He's probably a good doctor but you won't be able to tell when talking to him because he has poor eye contact and little to say. . . even less to say if you don't know what to ask. Not a good place for people who have health issues and want compassionate care and information. Note: this site would not allow me to enter Mary's name called quote because they say 'use of profanity not allowed in reviews' yet the office person--I doubt she's a nurse--in a doctor's office can use it when speaking to paying patients who in essence are the source of her pay checks.

i was referred to dr k from my doc, i am in the hospital 3 days now for on going bladder infection and kidney stone. i called the office and talked to his nurse mary, who yelled at me on the phone, i tried to explain to her i just wanted to be sure that they get my paperss from queens, and she cut me off, she then called the nurse here at the hospital yelling at him for me calling. with service like that who wants to go there
