Every time I come here I’m rushed through the appointment and never get a follow up call or nothing I don’t recommend them to no one

Treatment / Services were provided by Dr. David Janeway, OrthoCarolina. I had an excellent experience and I am very satisfied with the treatment plan. Dr. Janeway was very friendly and explained my issues in a way that were easy to understand. There was a less than 10 minute wait time.

Not the same surgeon he used to be! Very disappointed!

Dr Janeway provided excellent compassionate and accurate evaluation of my shoulder and ankle problems. I was seen exactly at my scheduled appointment and the staff was wonderful. He evaluated me and quickly diagnosed my condition. I left the office “pain free” after a nearly painless cortisone injection and an ankle brace. I would highly recommend him for any sports medicine or orthopedic condition.

Took the time to explain my issue and went over options. Very easy to understand.

Dr. Janeway was personable! He respected I don't like pain. I had to get a cortisone shot in the knee???? HE promised it wouldn't hurt and it didn't ???? HE is a great dr. with a sense of humor!

Worked me in quickly. Great X-ray staff on site. Thorough history and exam. Effective treatment plan!

I saw Dr. Janeway for a sprained ankle and large hematoma on my shin (same leg). He evaluated both very thoroughly and gave me wonderful treatment guidelines for both. I am very grateful for his excellent care

Pleasant, articulate, and patient.

Best orthopedic surgeon! Knowledgeable, empathetic, conservative in treatment approach. I would give Dr Janeway a rating of 1 million stars if that were an option! He has been our family’s orthopedic surgeon for 30 years. We have many years of experience with him!

Dr. Janeway is he most informative doctor I’ve encountered. He takes time to discuss throughly your surgery the options and recovery.The post op visits have been fantastic. He has taken the time to listen to my concerns and has shared clearly what I am to expect in the future concerning my knee surgery. Dr. Janeway was wonderful. 5 stars. Had an office visit to diagnose the cause of significant pain in my left knee. He listened to my story about history with the knee and how I injured it this time, examined and tested it, told me what he thinks the problem is in language I can understand, and prescribed a plan for moving forward to full recovery. Dr Janeway has been my mother's orthopedic caregiver for some time. He's always been straightforward with the both of us about her condition and prognosis regarding her course of care. My mother can be stubborn at times and Dr Janeway will look at every option that she comes up with within reason to get positive productivity out of her but at the same time be firm and honest with the both of us of what her likely outcome would possibly be vs. the preferred route of care. At this last visit after the options didn't quite work out in her perceived favor, she's going to consider Dr Janeway's recommendations. Dr. Janeway is knowledgeable, personable, and friendly, explaining in detail the procedure and recovery period. He answered every question and concern immediately. Through out my entire Rotator cuff surgery, recovery, and rehab, the entire staff was helpful, friendly, and cooperative. Dr. Janeway is the very best Orthopedic Surgeon I know. He is thorough in his diagnosis, his staff is second to none. And, his skills as a surgeon cannot be challenged. Excellent dr. Janeway went over my MRI and told me what needed to be done to fix the problem and what I would need to do after surgery. the next day Gina called to get me scheduled for surgery which is scheduled for 3-23

Dr. Janeway is an excellent orthopedic doctor/surgeon. He was able to quickly diagnose and treat my medical condition in the office. He was also happy to answer questions not directly related to my chief complaint. Last, he was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr. Janeway.

Dr. Janeway explained my condition and that there was two ways of treating the fracture He went through both thoroughly all my questions were answered and made sure I understood both all was done with no rush

My daughter hurt her hand. The dr was very nice and worked well with her, he was thorough in talking with me about the plan and follow up visits.

Shoulder pain after a fall

I got an appointment within two hours due to a cancellation. Almost no waiting time. Immediately had X-rays. Only waited a couple of minutes after that for Dr Janeway. Took his time even though it was late in the afternoon before Thanksgiving to explain what was happening with my shoulder. He did an ACL replacement in my knee years ago. Great doctor!

I’ve been using Dr. Janeway for years, because he delivers results. I’ve tried others in the past, but I use OSC because they are the best.

Dr. Janeway is competent, professional and affable.

I have been goin to Dr Janeway for man years. He repaired my right knee around 2008 and my left in 2009. Both needed micro fracture and meniscus repair. I am 50 and in good terrific shape thanks to the care I have received. I highly recommend Dr Janeway.

This was my 5th shoulder surgery by Dr Janeway and he is a great doctor.

Dr Janeway took the time to explain exactly what to expect from my upcoming surgery.

Provided excellent description of my knee problems. Outlined different options and probable results. Very easy to talk with.

Very professional but still friendly and personable. The front desk staff was very nice. There was a problem with my insurance and they explained it to me and told me upfront what the bill would be.

It had been over a year since I visited OrthoCarolina’s Winston-Salem office. The decor had been spruced up - fresh paint, artwork, etc. - which gave a much better impression than before. This appointment was made earlier in the day, but still, I received a link to update my information before my appointment. Unfortunately, I was supposed to get a second e-document, so I was given an IPad at check-in. I turned that back in when I checked out. All of the office staff were courteous and efficient. Since I was being seen for a new problem, x-rays were taken. This area had been remodeled and updated, too. The technician was very good. Dr. Janeway has been my orthopedist since about 2003, so we understand one another. After explaining what he found on my x-rays, I opted to have a shot in the joint. He told me to call if things didn’t improve in a month, and he would order an MRI before my next visit. I highly recommend Dr. Janeway to my friends and associates. Very knowledgeable, great bedside manner and not overly excited to cut for an ortho. He will if necessary but some cut just to cut and he isn’t one of those. Very happy with Dr. Janeway.

Dr Janeway was very calming, thorough and explained things so I could understand them. He showed me the xrays and explained the problem I'm having with my shoulder. He gave me a cortisone shot and scheduled me back in 6 weeks. He did my right rotator cuff 5 years ago and I was pleased with the results from that surgery.

Dr. Janeway is just an ordinary guy with God-given skills. He has repaired both my shoulders and both my knees. I still work out with weights and ride my bicycle from the Winston Salem area to the Outer Banks thanks to him. What more can I say!

Excellent experience with the repair of a rotator cuff injury - I am currently about 3 months post surgery. Dr. Janeway has explained the options - always takes the time to discuss and explain the latest options.

As always a true professional that knows how to explain treatment and or surgery to his patients. My knee is 70% better and will continue to improve. Dr Janeway always looks for treatment options and surgery is always a last resort. I have had others surgeries with Dr Janeway and would not go anywhere else.

Knows his trade very well

Dr. Janeway is honest and straight to the point doctor. He knows his job and he will let you know from the beginning to the end, step-by-step what his plan of treatment will be. He's great at what he does and he doesn't mind asking for a second opinion it he can't find the problem.
