Dr. David Thomas Huntley

Dr Huntley is, at times, a brilliant doctor. He was able to identify and treat my daughters complex migraines but stumbled on her severe pain and fatigue. Once he latches onto a misdiagnosis his arrogance fails to allow him to re-evaluate or refer out. He treated my daughters severe pain as psychological after a few tests came back normal he didn’t continue to look for medical causes. She suffered while he dismissed the severity of her illness. Thus he completely missed: the cerebral spinal fluid leak, Ehlers danlos syndrome and although he correctly identified her as having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome he failed to address the cascade of symptoms that are associated with it. He was dismissive and quite disrespectful to her and his treating her very real illness as if it were due to psychological issues had a negative impact on her trust in doctors and, more importantly, on her developing sense of self. Stanford has specialist that are respectful of complex patients. Do not recommend!!!

Dr. Huntley has been our family pediatrician for the last 15 years. He attended the birth of 2 of our 3 children and as a result of his training in Pediatric Neurology he recognized that my daughter was having seizures shortly after birth and saving her life after she experienced liver and kidney failure. He also has a very special bond with my oldest child and has served as more than just a doctor but a counselor and a friend as well. He thoroughly explains everything and answers all questions.

Dr Huntley is 100% focused on the health of his patients - it is hard to find a Doctor that is both extremely capable and diligent these days. I would highly recommend Dr Huntley.

Dr. Huntley took the time to ask about my overall health and well-being. He explained health concerns that need to be monitored regularly for people in my age range and recommended proactive ways to take care of myself.
