Dr. Ho and his entire staff are so kind and helpful. After going in for a second opinion, I have now switched to them full time. I had several kidney stones, one being 9 mm that my own doctor wanted to “watch” with no plan to move forward. Dr. Ho made a plan with me for both sides of my kidney to get me healthy He and his staff work in a timely manner & they become your advocate when planing your surgeries. Dr Ho actually listens to your symptoms and works with you. I can’t recommend them enough! They are worth the 2 hour drive for every appointment for me!

We have had the BEST experience with Dr. Ho. He is very passionate about his work and it shows! He has always taken his time with us, we never feel rushed. Dr. Ho saved my health! I saw him after I had a back surgery and had trouble voiding. I had some ureter and bladder issues that took a while to straighten out but Dr. Ho is very knowledgeable and got me through it all. Made an appointment to be examined for UTI/Prostate. Instead, I was seen by a Nurse Practitioner. Was asked for blood work and prescribed Antibiotics for 2 weeks. His assistant started out guessing about Kidneys, then Bladder, finally he wanted to perform MRI on my prostate. MRI to be performed at Methodist Hospital. One of the most expensive in the nation. Wanted to get the codes for the MRI tests but never got an answer, even though I called twice. Assistant was on vacation. Wanted to go to a different clinic for the MRI because it is cheaper. Decide to see a different DR. right now. The worst part is after I stopped going to him, his office sent me a bill for the telemedicine calls. I never asked his office for any calls (they suggested it)nor did I agree to any charges. want to put this out to warn people about his practice. I am also writing the Texas Medical Board and Better Business Bureau. Next step would be a lawyer!

Love love Dr. Ho. He was called in to assist my bladder surgery since a two hour surgery turned into 6 hours. He was a faithful doctor and even gave his cell phone number for me to reach him anytime while I was in ICU and after I recover at home. He respected my faith in Jesus and also witnessed a medical miracle. This is a horrible place for business. The insurance and billing department Fatima and Sole are horrible. They would not explain anything to me about the insurance and forced me to have my husbands secondary insurance which is ridiculous. Sole was not helpful and Fatima sent us to voicemail for four hours. Sole would not even explain to me the kind of services we were being denied because all her and Fatima cared about was billing and not the patient. Dr. Ho is skillful, professional and easy to get in touch, a very good doctor. The staff in the clinic are very compassionate and helpful.

Recently had my first experience with a kidney stone. Dr. Ho took excellent care of me through the entire ordeal. Made sure I was has comfortable as possible. In the end he successfully completed the lithotripcy procedure. Great bed side manner and great staff! Highly recommend him

In December 2010 I was admitted to the Hospital with Bladder and Kidney problems and Dr. Jackson, my Internist, called in Dr. Ho for his expertise. The resultant Bladder stoppage was from prostate cancer radiation, which resulted in a flow restriction. Dr. Ho assisted on the initial recovery to open the flow to the bladder and then in Feb 2011 used a green light laser on the Urethra. Since I had Dialysis two different times and my kidneys recovered (as I say Dr. Ho may have saved my life) I am very grateful to him. On another occasion for a Knee Replacement I asked the surgeon if he was going to install a catheter and was answer no need to prior to surgery. During the surgery the surgeon installed the catheter, bloodied the spelunker and a few days later I was seeing Dr. Ho for a blockage. I remember Dr. Ho scoping it and then we went across the street to Methodist Hospital and came back with a wire/balloon device that , in his office and without any Anastasia reopened the urethra which had healed shut. In the following 6 to 8 weeks a catheter continued to be in place until the area healed. Dr. Ho showed me how to self catheterize to make sure the opening remained and function properly. After about a year, I fully regained control of the bodily functions. Another operation that beat the odds. Most recently Dr. Ho had been observing and recommend draining a cyst on my right Kidney. The three draining's by another doctor have been 120 cc, 110 cc and 85 cc. We are currently watching it and if it grows to 7 cm again then we are discussing a surgery to cut the cap off of the cyst. I assume Dr. Ho would be the surgeon doing the possible future operation. I give Dr, Ho all 5 stars as he has done a lot for me in the 9 years I have seen him, he always takes time to discuss everything with the patient and is not one who uses a computer to record his notes and observations. The other thing I like about Dr. Ho is he was educated as an engineer in undergraduate, which I know allows him to think through problems differently than other doctors that have different undergraduate degrees. At the first visit, He drew a picture and show me the possible cause of AKI and explained in details with benefit and risk, He made me feel comfortable to go through the needed surgery. The surgery was successful and my creatinine drop towards normal. Dr. David Ho is the very best urologist in the country. Period. He cares for his patiences first and foremost. As far as him being a doctor, he is very through, he asks questions and has tremendous empathy for his patience. He is a scholar and a real gentleman. Everything comes from his heart, he truly cares. Dr Ho , Dr Fishman , are great Drs , But they have to reconsider the administrative stuff, the respectable lady at the check out point decided her own that I will not be seen by Dr Fishman because I refused to pay Unjustified and pointless fees. Moreover she was unable to provide any evidence of that fees , I asked her to review and make certain of the right to charge this fees but unfortunately she was unable to handle this matter at all. Dr Ho was ok. Left the stint in my wife for over a month. Took it out and my wife still has stones to pass but they are small enough to pass. She also still has infection and called to have meds refilled. The staff smart assly wrote no very big on the fax... so my wife has an infection, kidney stones and no medicine for the pain or infection. So my opinion is go somewhere else. Not worth the bs.. Dr. Ho was recommended to my by my Obgyn due to excessive kidney stones during pregnancy. My initial experience was nice and I originally gave him a 5 star review until I had to have a procedure done by home.He placed a stent while I was pregnant to help the stones from causing blockages. I was in more pain than the nurses thought I should have been in. I needed iv pain medication for a week and had other complications. The stent pain was absolutely miserable for the entire 6 weeks I had it in. My OBGYN was calling him daily while I was in the hospital to see if he had recommendations or wanted to actually come in and do a follow up visit with me. He eventually told my Obgyn he has no more recommendations and I should consult another urologist. I am so glad I did. After having my stent removed by my new urologist, I had a second one placed and the pain and recovery this time was minimal. The doctors called, came to my room, and was in constant contact with me about my recovery. He gave me a health care plan and timeline for when things needed to happen. He would even take the time to call my husband after visiting my hospital room. If you are looking for a good beside manner Dr. Ho is not the person to see. He seems incinvenieced by questions and follow up calls. I have been seeing Dr. Ho for ~6 months now and during this time all of my interactions with the doctor and his staff have been pleasant. During each appointment he takes the time to sit and listen to my thoughts and concerns regarding my personal medical history. Afterwards he always gives a detailed explanation and allows me the time to ask additional clarification questions to confirm my understanding. He is also one of the few doctors I have been to that takes the time to personally call me up to discuss the results of my blood work. I greatly appreciate this service because it saves me from losing time from work & gives me peace of mind that he is staying on top of my health. I noticed in some other negative posts that people complained he ordered unnecessary tests in his office to "get more money". If this were the case I doubt he would be making these phone calls to patients. Instead he would ask to see them in person to discuss the results. Additionally, he also probably wouldn't give patients the option to do routine blood work out of his office at a lab of their choice. The only issue I personally have with his office is the wait time to be seen. I have typically had to wait an additional +30-45 minutes over my scheduled appointment time before getting called back to see the doctor. However, I think it worth noting that every time I have visited him the waiting room is packed which to me means one of two things. Maybe the appointment times are not spread out enough to allow the doctor an adequate amount of time to spend with each patient or maybe he is in high demand because his patients are happy with his service and recommended him to friends/family resulting in a need for additional time slots. Whatever the case may be it can only be a good sign that he is good at his job. In summary, Dr Ho is a good guy who is seemingly trying to treat all of his patients to the best of his ability. I think that people sometimes can lose sight that he is only human and not a robot so mistakes will happen. No one can operate at a maximum efficiency level 24/7. This is why I give him 5 stars. Dr. Ho is awesome. He cares about his patient, accommodates the patient's request, and effectively communicate in a timely manner. Unlike the other urology specialist we used to see, Dr. Ho was honest and responsible. We were able to see Dr. Ho at the first appointment and got the surgery scheduled very soon. I highly recommend Dr. Ho. He is the best doctor I have seen in Houston.

Dr. Ho really took the time to explain all the options and recommended solution. Follow-up leading to, and after surgery at Houston Methodist was excellent. Actually I’m a wife of one of Dr. Ho’s patients who truly respects this Awesome physician. His bed side manners are impeccable and explains procedures prior to surgery to my satisfaction since I will be that caregiver to my loving spouse?? I also see the love of GOD in his mannerisms and prior to surgery??

Great Dr! Unlike many Drs, he quickly referred me to Urologist instead of treating me. He put my health above his financial interest. Many Drs do not do this, resulting in patients being misdiagnosed, mistreated and even harmed from delayed proper medical care. Dr Ho got me to the right Dr who accurately diagnosed my condition on 1st visit. WOW! You can trust Dr Ho to hold patients' wellbeing above his business. Wished more Drs had Dr Ho's ethics. Dr. Ho is too busy to care. He had not taken the time to read my chart before proceeding to do a procedure on me. Therefore he was looking to solve a problem that I didn't even have. Office staff is flaky and disorganized.

I had a horrible experience with a Urologist that landed me in St. Luke's Hospital. I had been to several doctors that treated me as if I didn't have a brain in my head and would not listen to what I wanted. They TOLD me what they were going to do and it was not a treatment I wanted. While in the hospital, Dr. Ho was on call and he came to see me. He sat down and talked to me like an old friend. Dr. Ho performed several surgeries and was very thorough as well as VERY easy to reach for any questions or concerns. He was careful and cooperated with the transplant team and anesthesia in order to ensure each surgery went safely and was the best method considering my other health conditions.

Dr. Ho treated me successfully with non-surgical interventions and surgery. He was accessible and friendly. I was not an easy patient, but he was always communicative and carefully explained the necessity for each treatment. I wish all my experiences with physicians were as good. I have recommend him to my friends.
