Dr. Flume is a professional with a reliable schedule, he skillfully listens to my issues and manages expectations upfront. The office manager Jessica is exceptional at handling the details of every appointment. It's obvious this doctor's office is patient oriented.

A + - I’ve known Dr. Flume for over 30 years. His compassionate, gentle and caring personality make me feel at ease. He is very intelligent. He has helped me through many depressions with anxiety and he is intelligent . He is now helping me through the hardest time I’ve ever been through. I have been hypothyroid for over a year with depression, anxiety, insomnia, OCD, etc. I’m very grateful he is my Doctor.

He's amazing & is so knowledgeable about a rare miserable nerve condition. Though he's a psychiatrist, he's attentive to the whole patient physical & mental health. I'm an Anxiety Queen & will get back on track with his help. I'm still amazed that he knows trigeminal neuralgia aka the "mystery diagnosis"... adds more anxiety! He should teach other doctors. I've been a RN more than 1/2 my life & DO KNOW what a great Dr is. He listens & actually gives feedback. His office manager is a precious non-judgmental lady. I don't know why I am just writing this. Dr. David Flume has saved my life and extended it when I thought all was lost. He has always been there for me. I am a disabled veteran who served in Somalia Africa. Dr. Flume has helped me more than my own government provided doctors. Dr. Flume has taken the time to know my spirit. He is a good man who helps people live. He's taught me how to help myself want to live. I don't know why I am just writing this. Dr Flume is very patient and intelligent doctor. He actually took the time to listen to my problems and asked me what has worked for me in the past and what has not. He really listens from the heart and wants to help in anyway he can from an experienced psychiatrist point of you.

David is a wonderful Dr, actually askes questions about how you been doing and takes notes. Definitely would recommend him to anyone looking for a Dr or to switch doctors.

He's the best Doc I've had & for years now. Apparently, the ease at which it's been for health "professionals" to profile me incorrectly & all too often, had saddly conditioned an expectation of not actually being listened to by those whom I turned for mental help. When I became a patient of Dr. David Flume, it was almost like culture shock, albeit in a good way. There's something profound & psychologically health inducing just by the simple feeling of having been listened to, in earnest, by the person whose hands you are going to place your time, trust, & hope in. Psychiatry rarely is about instant results & patients are almost always required to journey semi-blind through great uncertainty for extended periods of time. What works best for each patient is unique to the individual. When trying to find the right medication regimin, for instance, it can be a rough game of educated guesswork, trial & error. This is what really makes it absolutely invaluable having someone you can place trust in, taking each step of the journey alongside with you, and I am so incredibly grateful to Dr. David Flume for all his help over the years. And if the credibility of this review is in question because you find me just too unrelatably odd as a person, I only wish you could see how I'd seem to you if the years of Dr. Flume's psychiatry wasn't the consistent high calibre of care I have claimed it to be. The best!

Knows his stuff. Very empathic as well.

He was my doctor doctor for many years and with his help I could maintain relationships and my impulse control was effectively managed.. Depression was lessened and I could focus more. Also my mania seemed to be reduced so I could actually sleep / do dishes/ enjoy life and be productive. There benefits of being in Dr. Flumes care was absolutely outstanding! Dr. David Flume takes the time and listens. He has been a great doctor to me. I would recommend him to anyone who needs help with issues that you wouln't feel comfortable speaking about to other's. He's very calming and understanding.
