HE WILL LEAVE YOU IN THE PREP ROOM FOR HOURS AT A TIME WITH NO REGARD FOR YOU DISCOMFORT. HE HAS DONE IT TO US 3 OUT OF 5 PROCEDURES AND HE ALWAYS HAS SOME BOLOGNA EXCUSE. INCREDIBLY INCONSIDERATE TO HIS PATIENTS

Dr. Ellis is very knowledgeable & thorough. He answers all your questions & is very kind. He has treated my severe UC for several years now & I owe him a lot!! He’s a great Dr. & person!!

I moved to Orange County NY in 2007 with sever UC since 2000. Dr Ellis took over as my primary, over-seeing all U.C. concerns. I have a very severe case, and Dr Ellis has literally saved my life. I cannot stress enough how professional, caring, and concerned he is for his patients. My family and I owe Dr Ellis more than words can say and I am so very grateful for his services and expertise. Dr. Ellis and his entire staff were fantastic. I was doing a procedure which I had never done before. It required a bit of prep but his staff spent time with me explaining the steps and making sure I had everything I needed. Would highly recommend! Thx again Dr. and Team!

Dr. Ellis is one of the worst Dr.s I have ever come across. Very unprofessional and has not character. He does't care about you as a person. It's like he forgot why he became a Dr. in the first place, and I hope it was to help people. I guess the money got to his head. He only cares about getting paid and not listening or caring. Worst Dr. Ever! go to someone that cares and will listens.

Very bad doctors group. It takes days for the dr's assistants to call you back. The office staff acts as they make you a big favor when you ask for something. What a place - Horizon Family Medical Group ! Dr Ellis never calls back. I left several messages to call me back about my test results, he never even bothered! The only good doctor that was there was Dr Finck the gastroenterologist. He always called his patients back. Too bad he is retired now. Save yourself the headache and find a better gastroenterologist in the area that accepts your insurance and go there... but not Dr Ellis. I saw Dr Ellis for a colonoscopy. He was knowledgeable and courteous. Answered all questions. Took time to make me feel comfortable. Staff was friendly. Office visit and procedure ran on time and smoothly

I was scheduled for a colonoscopy and an endoscopy . Before going into the operating room he said, "we are doing an endoscopy also, right". Yes I told him. I woke up before the procedure and could see them snip something on the screen on the wall. When I realized I was up I asked the anthestiologist why I was up. He told me QUOTE "you were snoring and annoying the doctor so we woke you up." Also they FAILED TO DO THE ENDOSCOPY.

Very knowledgable and helpful with my issues. Excellent Doctor. Spent time to make sure I understood everything. Highly recommend dr. Ellis

Worst doctor ever. Went to see him for some issues I was having. Never really took an interest in my situation. He was always to involved with his computer. Staff was really unfriendly and just rude especially his assistant Michelle. I am transferring out of there and will never see another doctor under Horizon Medical Group again. Thanks for nothing doctor!

I was in the hospital for an emergency abdominal issue. I saw 25 or more doctors but Ellis was the only one I remembered he made me feel comfortable and I felt at ease during my two week stay whenever he came in my room. He answered all my questions and was always professional, informative and put me at ease.
